Is the issue of Bootloop when turning on the GPS resolved in this ROM?
Also, in the Screenshots above the ROM version shows as 4.2.2. Is this the correct screenshot?

Installed However......
Install went ok. Got stuck in boot screen the first time around then reinstalled a second time and it booted fine. Did not install gapps yet. Right now I see no access to system settings via icon in apps drawer or via menu. Ech install I've done full wipes.

For the screenshot, just meant to give you an idea of how it looks. I have no bootloop issues with gps turned on just not work and nothing more.

As for all the tests I have been able to do with gps, if it doesn't bootloop when turned on, it does tend to try to run in in the background. So I recommend that you just turn it off then reboot. That way it doesn't even try to run (take up resources).

Found a the setting issue, creating a fix for it, had to do with the second port, the first one works well, will upload the fix soon.

first thing that happens setup has crashed
EDIT" went to flash setup fix but cant download can you upload to the xda server?
i bypassed it when i found that if i saved settings_fix.zip to my files on mediafire it would then download and i found a bug with the dock icons not wanting to stay if moved

This ROM is amazing, but I keep getting FCs. com.google.gapps or something like that FCs almost every thirty minutes and com.google.location or something like that FCs about every two hours. Could it be the gapps package, or is it the rom?

The ROM will also softboot randomly for no reason at all. I have been running this ROM for three days now with goo.im gapps and the GPS file zip from the cm10.2 thread.

Will work on fixing the fc issue, at the moment am preparing for my dad's funeral this week (should not be saying this here) so been away from this forum for days now.

[ROM][JB 4.2.2] Unofficial SlimBean 7.1 for HTC Vivid [July 8 2013]

First off, I am by no means a developer. These guys do some amazing work and it has inspired me to start and get involved. This was done by lots of reading, clicking, sitting, reading, sitting, and clicking. Most of the hard work was already done by the real developers, so I would like to thank them early on-
Albinoman887, android1234567 and TeamHydra for getting the ball rolling with CM10.1 booting on our devices
h8rift, mg and slam for all the work done with CM10 and all the other amazing ROMs available for our devices
CyanogenMod and SlimRom teams for making some beautiful feature rich ROMs
DennisBold for porting the ROM to Sensation, only making it that much easier for me
Anyone else I may have forgotten, you too!
I got this booting by using albinoman's 0629 CM10.1 build as a base then using rishabh.raj37's guide to port SlimBean from the Sensation over to our device.
With a HUGE hand from sultan/android1234567, we have a 99% operational SlimBean ROM, built from source! Thank him here for his awesome work, without him I'd still be searching the forums! :silly:

Running the booted ROM right now, really don't understand why but the Baseband version isn't showing up in the settings menu either. Has to be something to do with a ported file right? And there are folders for the internal and external SD but they show up as empty, even though they are still fully populated in recovery and CM10.1... Somewhere a line is pointing to the wrong path, I just need to find and fix it. Seems the APN issue might be a little tougher for me to figure out on my own..
Ask albino man about those issues since he fixed them

Upon first try it didn't boot, but second try before flashing albinoman's 6/30 kernel it booted. I can't seem to get mobile data connected, but the APNs are already there so that issue is a bit smaller. SD cards still don't seem to be showing up in File Manager, SuperUser seems to be malfunctioning somehow too, trying to change File Manager to Root Access Mode doesn't bring up the SuperUser app and File Manager stops responding.

Can you explain where to find new "development" in this ROM made by the team? The feature list shows only Addons but not
"Code-writing Development". And so it feels more like a normal custom ROM.
Maybe you can clarify why this belongs to "Original Android Development Forum".

Hi guys.....
Hi guys.. @herna. thank you very much, great work.
Jelly time 4.3 is the best for DHD, but HTC didn't want to update it and they forget it. Thanks to the developers and JellyTime the cell phone is working great, that is why your Galaxy note will work great too. So, check it, comment and thank people who have made this easier, for free.
Thanks team.:good:
Can someone tell me which version of gapps I need to use with this rom, please? The instructions say to flash the rom and the gapps, but I cannot find the gapps in the OP. I am no stranger to flashing roms, and I know that flashing the wrong gapps package with a rom can cause problems.

Thank you for such a quick reply. I am downloading the gapps now. My phone is on charge at the moment, but I will try out this rom when the charging is completed. May I politely suggest that a download link for the gapps file be added to the op, in the downloads section, so that rom users can find it? The rom looks very interesting and fun to use, by the way.

You added the gapps, as per my suggestion - thank you.
I have only used it for a day and it seems pretty fast so far. It is not too much of an "eye candy" rom. By this, I mean it is not packed with lots of visual features, but is fast and pretty stable. The phone rebooted on one occasion, but I have had no other problems. Battery life seems pretty good too. It is too early to give a detailed evaluation, but early signs are pretty good.

Thank you for the feedback. Our idea is to make a ROM with only features that are neccesary or can gives better look and make a fast ROM. That is only the Experimental version, having another version running so much smoother and faster, but still on beta testing. New release is coming soon, also fixed for random reboots. THANKS!
I just thought I would let you know about another bug I have found. I set up the phone after flashing the rom and everything seemed fine. I switched it off fully to go to bed and when I went to switch it on the next day, it would not switch on. It went into boot loop and could not get past the GT-N7000 logo, switching between the logo and a blank screen. The only way out of this was to go into recovery, wipe data, cache and Dalvik, reboot and set up the rom again. My partner had the same issue when he downloaded the rom. This only happened on the first reboot, and has not occurred since then, in spite of several full switch on/switch off cycles. My partner has just rebooted his handset after the first boot loop and is currently re-installing his apps again. This is only his first reboot, so I cannot confirm that his boot loop issue is a one-off first time problem yet. But

That is because you flashed bad the ROM. I am all days flashing so much ROMs and that means I have to install JellyTime so much time and never had that error Remember always to do a clean install, and formatting system.

I always do a clean install, and wipe everything. I don't just over-install a rom over a previous one. I am very careful to wipe data, cache dalvik, and do all the formatting processes required by the rom instructions.
Excuse me sirs, ... Just making sure here. Is this ROM based on CM or is it purely built from scratch?
& can I suggest a dual panel in settings? Additionally maybe?
Thanks for your support :good:

Wish to confirm that I have faced this problem frequently with all 10.2 installations...getting stuck at Samsung Logo.
Have been mentioning it on different threads but yet to get a working sure-shot solution...unfortunately the only thing that works for me is trial and error...wiping...rebooting...reflashing ...rebooting and so on...no iron clad solution for my phone as yet...
I sometime think this should be happening to a certain set of phones only because there are several members who are enjoying CM 10.2 without such issues...

So I just got PA to port from a i9000 port. I don't have a SIM card, so I can't test data... I can't test anything really, I can just flash a boot it the package is unsigned, but it will still flash. If this bothers you, feel free to sign it yourself using the ZipSigner app from the Play Store, or you can use the tools found in the port guide. Java won't install on my PC... So an actually OP will be uploaded later today along with a download link. Just wanted to let you all know that it is coming

Update coming this afternoon hopefully still no PA controls (dpi stuff) I think though...

I am getting sick and tired of DevHost's slow upload speeds. I am going to use Google Drive for the time being. Anyone have sugestions as to what file hosting site is friendly for uploader and downloader? I hated MediaFire as a downloader But I want download counts as a uploader. I can't get a goo.im account until I get accepted as a RC.
you may have a bunch download's un accounted for with mf, it doesn't count download's if using a download manager such as idm. just a head's up...

Finally upgrading to 4.4+ and upon flashing this one, I notice the WIFI wouldn't cut on in setup. So I originally just went on to another rom (as I had flashed Supernexus right before and WIFI worked on that ROM).. the next rom I tried was CYANFox, but that STILL had the absent WIFI issue. I skipped setup to go into settings and, sure enough, WIFI was greyed out. That's a no-no lol. So, even though I flashed Fluid right before the Supernexus rom I tried, I'm back in Recovery right now trying to RE-flash this ROM after RE-flashing Fluid... in the event that I run into the same issue: Any tips for WIFI? Like, do I need to flash Fluid, then reboot, then flash rom, re-flash rom, then flash gapps or anything like that?
ROM's at the boot animation right now and I'm hoping the WIFI will work -__- cause I've always loved PA.... and I'll be upset if I have to go back to Supernexus (since that was the only 4.4 rom so far with working WIFI) because I left it due to lack of any customization...
Edit: ROM came up and the wifi STILL isn't working. -_______________________- Any suggestions before I chuck birds at 4.4 and go back to 4.3?
Edit 2: Nevermind? I went back to recovery and flashed Fluid after I flashed the ROM and it seems to have fixed it. But that just raises a new question for me....
During the times I'd flashed Fluid, after opting to reboot, Recovery would say "Root possibly lost! Fix?".. The first time, I answered yes, it rebooted, hung for a sec, went to Recovery and then the ROM I was already on would no longer run. Boot-loop, seen?
THIS time, I selected "no", pulled the battery to exit Recovery, and then turned the phone on, it worked.
So, should I always flash Fluid right before the ROM or right after? Also, my phone is working..ish.. Installs of apps just take foreeevvverrrrrr. I might have to try another ROM because I don't think this plays nice with my phone =(
@lam2Smooth just flash fluid. Nothing else xD you should be fine

sorry to hear bout your vibrant, hows the moto g? ive been thinking of getting a new phone also but not sure what to get, seems like a lot of newer flagship phones are infested with ciq. im not trying to deal with that bs again.

[ROM][T211][4.4.2]Zephyr Tab v4,Rooted,Debloated,Odexed, NJ3 TW Rom

Simple, Stable, Smooth...
I am not a developer, I have learnt (and am still learning) many things from the immensely talented developers on this Forum.
This Rom has been created with the thought that there are many people who wish to continue with Samsung Stock Rom to give them a hassle-free use of their Smartphone, yet they need their Rom to be bloatfree, efficient and Smooth.
This ROM is rooted and odexed for my daily use. Will try to keep the version updated as and when a new stock firmware (with higher/better changelog) is released for the Galaxy Tab 3 (T211) version.
Please do not expect me to customise this ROM any more than what it is. As I said I am not a Developer. Thanks for Understanding.
Only for T211

after installing this ROM (4.4.2) it is still possible to come back to a Jelly Bean ROM (4.1.2)?
Thanks

Backup your existing rom. Try this one. I don't think you will go back to JB. And I see no reason why you can't go back to JB either. Worst case scenario you will have to flash stock firmware using odin. I have not tried going back and am still waiting for feedback from you guys.

I can confirm that, it is VERY buggy.
After you start the tablet, wait for a couple of sec, you'd be greeted by nothing but a black screen.
You could tap the power on button twice to get it to work, but you'd only see the status bar, nothing else.
Sometimes tapping the back button and menu button randomly could get the Samsung setup wizard out, but even the wizard appears to be buggy.
First being during the Wi-Fi setup, when you're prompted to type in the Wi-Fi password, the keyboard would pop-up for a brief second and then go off again, making it impossible to type in anything.
Second is even if you skip all those, alright, the system appears to be working, the system, mobile data, yeah, those are fine.
However, the glitchiness continues, the power menu sometimes appears to be invisible, some of the pop-up option menu appears to be invisible, installing a third-party keyboard the UI element does not work properly either.
Also, the tablet hung up after installing some APKs through ADB, the status bar became distorted, I suspect that to be a system UI issue too.
All in all, all the rendered UI element appears to be buggy. That's the only thing that needs to be fixed.
All in all..waiting for a bugless rom..thank you for the efforts..all the best for your future projects

Well, since XDA is being a douche and not letting all people to reply on dev board, I can only report the bug here.
To me, the ROM was completely unusable, some UI elements aren't being rendered correctly.
For instance, keyboards aren't showing, sometimes the power menu won't show up, some option menus won't show up.
Most issues are related to the UI.

Okay wow, you're really stubborn, here's a pic to prove it, why the heck would I want to lie about this?
http://puu.sh/b5mMN/62144fbbbd.png
And what do you mean "getting old"?
Everyone's device is the same, you know I wouldn't be mad if your statement was a little less ridiculous, say regional differences, obviously that still wouldn't be the case but it's a lot less ridiculous than "getting old".
FYI, my tab's mobo was replaced about a month ago.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][5.0.2][CM-12.0] CyanogenMod 12 for jfltespr (2015-01-26 / FINAL)

The Sprint Galaxy S4 is now receiving official CM 12 builds. This thread is here for reference purposes only. No new unofficial builds will be made.
It seems that the CyanogenMod folks are kicking along pretty well getting Lollipop ready. I was finally able to get a bootable version of CyanogenMod 12 for our phone, the jfltespr. The jflte devices are being de-unified again.
I am building a rather "plain" version, which consists of all merged GitHub items, along with cherry picks that are required to build the ROM.

Disclaimer
This ROM is under development, and the file(s) I provide are a snapshot at a particular point in time. There are no guarantees that they will work. On the other hand, it's quite possible that the file(s) here may make your phone explode, make your boy/girlfriend leave for another country, cause you immense financial loss or other horrible things. I'm not responsible for any of it. I'm just giving you a file.
Installation Instructions
Do a nandroid! What happens when the ROM doesn't work??
Use TWRP! CWM has been mentioned to work as well, but I do not personally support it.
Factory Reset! (Wipe Cache/Dalvik/Data)
Install my ROM ZIP file!
Install gapps (PA has Lollipop gapps in ALPHA) (Slim has Lollipop gapps here)
Install SuperSU!
Current Build Info
CM GitHub as of 01/26/15 @ 11:05 AM EST
Cherry Pick: (#79041) - add ANT+ Wireless support
Kernel Source
This ROM is built from CyanogenMod sources. You may retrieve the kernel source here!
What Works / Doesn't
Working: Mobile Data
Working: WiFi - Some users have experienced issues having BT and WiFi on at the same time. One reported fix is to change WiFi to use the 5Ghz channel.
Working: GPS - Some SPH-L720T users have experienced non-functional GPS. I suggest flashing back to TouchWiz and acquiring a GPS lock with GPS Status & Toolbox. Once that happens, go right back to recovery and reflash CM12.
Working: Camera - You may have to exit and go back in before it starts working properly. Also, occasionally the camera will appear to take photos but freeze the preview window and not actually take the photo. Google Camera and other third party apps don't seem to have this problem.
Working: NFC
Somewhat Working: Bluetooth - Some users have experienced slow A2DP playback or issues connecting to devices.
Not Working: Any other potential CM bugs. After all, this is an early release and can be potentially quite buggy.
Not Tested: Anything not mentioned above.
Found Bugs
When plugged in for charging, if you power off the phone, it will reboot after a short period of time. The touchscreen will not be functional. If you hold down the power button to reboot, the phone will be fine.
When using the stock messaging app, SMS messages will show as failed -- but they do go through. I tested to another mobile user and a Google Voice number. MMS doesn't seem to show an error.
Excessive battery drain due to NfcNci.apk in /system/app (reported for the Int'l CM 12 build). You can delete the APK if you experience high battery use from "Miscellaneous". [Hopefully this is fixed in the 11/24 build. Please respond if you notice any improvement]
Location icon stays in the status bar. This happens even if location is turned off.
Home button does not wake device.
I will post new versions of the ROM when I get a chance. New versions will be compiled daily and put into my MEGA folder.

Awesome! It seems to be working out good for me so far. No crashes or anything. Been using it for the last few hours pretty constantly. I'll get some screenshots up in a bit.

You mention using TWRP... I'm using ClockWorkMod... Is that bad?
This is awesome. I wasn't expecting a build for this for another couple weeks. Keep up the good work!
I haven't followed or used CWM or PhilZ recoveries in quite a while -- I can't confirm that CWM will or won't work. I posted what worked for me, and it's more of a "recommended" method since I know it worked. You can certainly try CWM. If it works, I'll throw CWM in the OP with TWRP!

If you or anyone else gets it installed, feel free to let me know what works and doesn't, so I can track it in the OP and see if there may be some fixes I can do and submit. Some of the bugs are going to be fixed by the CM folks, but they're busy working on getting the Nexus devices flawless, methinks.

I'll try it... Do I risk bricking if I use CWM instead of TWRP? Or just risk it not installing?
Well, I've never seen an actual "brick" by using the wrong recovery -- with the exception of the bad NAND in the old S2. If CWM doesn't work properly, you may have an incomplete/empty /system partition or other potential filesystem problems, which will not let your phone boot. If that's the case, you should be able to restore your nandroid with no issues. Flashing is always a risk unfortunately!

I need my phone for work I can't risk bricking... Anyone else wanna try CWM? lol
Agreed -- if you need your phone for work, I wouldn't recommend flashing experimental builds like this one. I'd feel bad if you install it and miss out on something at work. Maybe someone will cue in with any CWM experiences.

I just installed with Philz and everything seems to work okay. The only bugs I have seen so far is I had to toggle airplane mode to get LTE to kick in and I am unable to download an attachment from Gmail. I live on the edge Sprint service so I will see how roaming works this evening.

It's a souped up CWM Recovery.

So in theory CWM should work?

I wouldn't think twice about doing it but that is your call. If you are worried, why don't you just switch to TWRP? It is really easy to do.

Yeah it probably is. Do I just flash TWRP with Odin? Got a TWRP download link?
Also, if I make a backup in CWM, can I restore it in TWRP?
