Google Wallet just updated, works without mods!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using xda app-developers app

Oh man bout dang time! I love how ISIS just fell off the face of the earth after it was announced... Finally something good comes to us!

Just about to post that!
I was just about to post that!
I'm so glad!

Haven't tried the Google Wallet update, does it need mods?

I don't think NFC payment works. Went back to mod

Exactly, I noticed that I could install and run the app but GoogleWallet NFC is still restricted for us without root editing. Oh wells, hopefully this was a step towards getting NFC restriction lifted one step at a time.

Ive been searching around to enable nfc payments. I have the att active on stock rooted rom. I found a guide for the s4 that required changing your phones name and downloading a special version of wallet, then changing your phones name back once its installed. Im not too excited to download a hacked software that has the ability to access my bank account. Does anyone know of another method to make nfc payments work?

The following link has a procedure for it, but I never tried it personally. It is pretty involved.

I can confirm that the instructions in that link work. I've been using NFC with Google Wallet on my i537 for a couple months now.

If I knew of a single business near me that accepted it, I probably would have gone through the process to find out for myself. I think the concept of Google Wallet and NFC payments is pretty cool. I'm just waiting for more people to adopt it.

Google Wallet for everyone!
Hopefully we will get the 4.4 update on our devices for tap-to-pay to be enabled! Good news is KitKat allows use of tap-to-pay and the bad news is that there is no time-frame for getting it.

Question: If NFC payments worked, where would you use it?

Do you guys know if I have to clear settings before I flash a new rom, I know I had to do it for my EVO LTE so it won't break nfc, do I have to do the same for the HTC one

Have Viperboy ROM and wallet says unsupported device. When I tried using it, transaction would not go through. Anything I need to know/set?
Am on a Sprint One.

unsupported device is because its not a sprint rom. it will work anyway. most likely the stores issue. i findthey are iffy at 7-11's and walgreens with google wallet.
When Google Wallet says unsupported device, that's just Google's warning to you that your phone is rooted and using Wallet may not be advisable when rooted. It should not affect the functionality of Google Wallet at all though, you should still be able to use it like normal.

google wallet

anyone have google wallet working on the at&t moto x?
Hope this happens
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
I don't figure it will happen because its probably like the htc one and doesn't have the security element. this is my opinion not fact. So it may change but I don't look for it too

There's a mod for xposed that install Google wallet, I'm in Canada so it won't work for me either way, I should also say it won't work for you unless you can get root access, xposed framework needs root access, catch 22

This is what I'm going to try once AT&T gets root.

I may be wrong but I think that before the s4 active got root they were able to get google wallet to work. Maybe their strategy would work?

Isn't the NFC secure element a hardware component? Is there no way to check for its presence (or lack thereof)?
If we SIM unlock can we install wallet?

It has secure element
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
I thought a few updates agoThey made it that the secure element is not needed
Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk 4
Secure element is cloud based now I believe since early this year. If the sprint x has it all we need is root to change the build prop values in 3 lines so wallet sees us as the sprint one then you install and setup and reboot and change back. I will attempt that change and do a write up as soon as root is released.

Fingers crossed. I use Wallet all the damned time on my N4.
Sprint X has confirmed wallet working. Now if the root drops before I go out of town Friday I'll work on trying it and posting a write up.

I don't know if this would help but here, I can't test it as I am up in the great white north and we can't use Google wallet. Its an xposed app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126241

With /system being encrypted I have put out the question to jcase whether a build prop edit is possible. When I hear back I will contact you guys. Hopefully the shared library isn't something we have to have to access the secure element. Potentially going to need some extra work. I'll dig in the system dumps tomorrow morning. The system encryption may not let it write the library on install as well. I will work hard to resolve this and if needed reach out to those that I think can help.

Can you try adding xposed and then the link 2 posts above. The typical way is a hacked apk but xposed plug in alleviates that. Once you try that report back.

Did you try Google Play Store? I got the Wallet app from there. But, I think you need a special NFC secure element (special SIM card) from AT&T to allow for usage. I can only get Isis to work via NFC.
Thanks...

Secure element allows ISIS to work AT&T locked out Wallets NFC features for the app they support, that being ISI

So you're saying that Wallet won't ever work as long as there is an AT&T SIM card in place?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i am able to open the app and see my transactions and everything. haven't used it in person though. but it seems like it works since i can open the app without any errors or anything.
Well it works up until the time you need to actually use the Touch to pay portion.

Im very tempted to go back to my Note 2 with all these issues lol I was able to use a modded wallet app fine with ATT on it.

at&t update last night??

So when I woke up this morning my phone said it had downloaded an update. seeing as I am rooted it wont install and I refuse to unroot just to update for fear of locking my self out of any possible bootloader exploits to be found in the future.
Does anyone know what this update is? I was suprised that there wasnt anything on here about it yet.

I got the update too...I am not sure if it was the first update or something newer. I was rooted so it did not take last time so I was wondering if it was new update. I am going to take update now. I restored to stock and it just came through again. It's safe because you can always flashback to previous version. Well it has been that way so far with G2. For the G2 to keep custom recovery you have to use a mix of different partitions from 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 to run stock 4.4.2.
D95010n is the update for me. I guess it is the same as first unless you need to have 10n before next update. Checking for update did not show anything newer for me.
Edit...When I flashed back to stock to get update I signed up for Isis and got $50 bucks on it. So I ran to CVS and got what I needed then I rooted and removed Isis

You can't use Isis if you are rooted.

Because I prefer Google wallet and Isis is playing dirty business tricks to block Google wallet in KitKat. On G2 Google wallet does not even show up in tap to pay options since carriers are blocking that function to create monopoly for Isis.

I gave up on google wallet since it never had the tap and pay option availible unless I installed a hacked version. on my GS4 with AT&T tap and pay is not supported. on ISIS it is.

Google Wallet issue?

Is anyone else having an issue where Google Wallet says that functions are disabled because it "looks like another app is blocking access to wallet." It then says that another app may be drawing over the screen. Any ideas?
