Gonna be another hour for the download to finish. tired tomorrow for sure but thats what the extra large iced coffee at mcdonalds is for lol. im downloading the extras zip also as my biggest concern is the verizon backup assistant as i have alot of work contacts that i need to sync. for whatever reason trying to restore contacts from my gmail account doesnt seem to ever work properly. i assume i can do that either through the rom or the extras zip

Takes about 4-5 min, at least on my end, let it run its course.
I been messing with this ROM for almost an hour now and I cant seem to encounter any bugs so far, Ive tested every setting i could think of to look for bugs but it seems to be good on my end. Just wanted to let you know Scott its clean here so far.

thank god. thanks. one last thing i seen on another thread that someone posted a mod to increase the speaker volume slightly by modding the numbers. i believe the default was 60 but dont quote me on that. changing permissions and such is one of the few things out of my comfort level. would you ever consider a flashable zip or a rom with a slightly updated bump in these numbers based on testing for those of us looking for an easier way. it would be nice to have the stock speaker safely but slightly louder. i have done all kinds of mods on android but i have a mac and things like this just are not that easy without a windows computer.

Yeah, the wiping is just crazy!
I had a few people check it out before I posted it but thats not to say they could find every little thing. jspradling7 caught the only bug known so far and I fixed that on this upload (over the beta)
BUt yeah, let me know because I could not test everything... The verizon kernel and modules are just wierd. The touch panel is 90 degrees out of whack so when I held my AT&T Phone horizontal the display would go portait and when held portait it would go horizontal... Needless to say I could eventually disable screen rotaion but when it came to radio related stuff I couldn't really test it much.

Hahaha... Its only been posted for 15 minutes man. Its still early, people are getting to work, etc... They will check forums soon, lol
I am not very graphically inclined and I usually focus on a clean stable core ROM. I let the themers do there thing. I am sure you will see some themes pop up. Some may already be compatible. Not sure though...

Osirus my friend! How it going? I plan top be around for a while. I thought phone ROMS were fun.. Been doing them for 6+ years... Then I did a Tab ROM. Its like love all over again. This thing is INSANE! I got my hands on a 7" tab and realized I needed the 10.1.. lol All of this in less than a week! I have only had the 10.1 for a couple days now but its by far my most favorite device... EVER!
Just had to get a that damn bloat off it, lol. You know how I am with bloat. This is version 1.0 so there are bounds to be opportunities for improvement. Let me know what you find!

Yea, boosteds themes are great. Ive used all of them. One of the things that really sux about our tablets is the keyboard. Whether its the samsung or the google. You HAVE to try Thumb Keyboard. Its the shizzat. Dont know what I would do with out it. you can actually use your thumbs with ease while typing. If you have any questions, PM me. Ive hat my tab since May so i can probably point you to all the sweet apps and games that make out tab even better...

For what is worth, Pershoot enlisted quite a few of us to help debug the hell out of his kernel before he ever released it. By far it is the best kernel out there, and as far as stability goes, i probably fastboot'ed, wiped and reflashed a thousand times to make sure everything was rock solid.
As far as themes go, Boosted is where its at, IMHO. I haven't flashed anything new in a long time, but he's been awesome about dropping updates when a dev pumps out something new.
Glad to have you onboard and can't wait to get home so I can use the bandwidth god gave me (and comcast) to get this rom on my tab.

Hello all. I'm back, and together with Task 650, have created a nice little ROM that I would like to ask up to 10 people to beta test for me over the next few days or however long it takes to make it as solid as can be. In the interests of full disclosure, yes, I am the guy who made his first Samsung ROM and bricked a few users' devices...please see that thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22760426&postcount=115) for an explanation of what went wrong, and why it won't happen again.

Anyway, right now, this is basically a stock ROM that I put together based on P6800ZSLA2 TGY (Hong Kong), along with Task 650's help/advice/tweaks, with these features:
1. Deodexed,
2. Zipaligned,
3. Stock kernel,
4. Init.d support (ALL CREDIT to TASK 650 for his scripts, this is some bad-ass work);
5. Zipalign, sqlite optimization scripts (thanks to Task for suggesting these as good scripts for the tab, and to their authors for the scripts themselves. I will be adding some scripts I like as I test them out and see how they translate to this device),
6. Busybox run parts (thanks to Task 650 for providing these),
6. build.prop tweaks for improved wifi, screen responsiveness, keeping home app in memory, higher camera/video quality, etc. (credit to Task 650 for these),
7. stock theme/minimal recoding extended powermenu (thanks eznow for the example),
8. Optimized pngs and smali-based tweaks for a smoother stock launcher experience (more to come...),
8. I think that's it...

1. Hidden screenshot/quicklaunch button (optional);
2. Theming for samsung widgets;
3. More (hopefully including working hidebar app)...
I plan to use this ROM as the base for future ROMS, and after beta testing, anyone can use it as a base for their own ROMs, provided they give me credit and ask Task to use his tweaks and give him credit for them (or remove the tweaks altogether). My future ROMs will have lots of customizations that I am already itching for, from smali-based tweaks, like getting rid of the screenshot button (why the hell is it right there? ) multi-tweak apps like they have for HTC devices, and hiding the taskbar (the hidebar app doesn't work on this tablet) to theming, which, if you google my HTC ROMs (esp. Incredible 1 & 2 Magnolia ROMs) on XDA, I am heavily into...
Anyway, I am glad to have a new start, and hope to be a major contributor over here in Sammy land...
If you wish to become a beta tester, please PM me, and I will provide you with a link. Clearly this testing is not for the faint of heart or people with no knowledge or experience with flashing and using custom ROMs...while I am extremely confident that the ROM is safe as hell, I just want potential testers to be aware that there is always some risk involved in flshing any ROM, and especially a beta like this

All languages (well, you know, all major ones...). It will default to US English (I set it that way) for setup, keyboard, etc. and time zone is Hong Kong by default, but you can choose whatever you want. Again, if you want to try, please pm me. thanks!

goodnight steve, we have the same firmware and for me hide the application bar works without any problems ........ aside, I would have liked to be part of your new beta tester but the problem is that I do not master the language at all shakspear, and I too superficielement control computer .... in the meantime I wish you luck and thank you in advance for all that you do and will do for the community. If that may help p 6800 is overclockable via the App tegrak ..... mine is overclocked and to date the tablet no longer suffer from any slowdown whatever it is ..... Your hidebar app works? Maybe I have an outdated version...I'll take a look. I hope that's the case. Do you have a screenshot with the bar hidden? My app would run fine, and the statusbar icon is there, but no hiding...
Oh, and there is french on this, as I said above, it has all major languages (dont Francaise), you select whatever you want at the first screen of setup...it's just set to english by default.

I ask because I can't really have multitasking with this 7.7 unlike my Note which is running so much better than this HC stuff. My dolphin browser half the time will have to reload if I went back to home and accessed another app. Will wait for your kind answers and I'm not smart enough to be any beta tester.

Yes. I plan to have scripts in place that will increase available ram. Right now, i just want to get to the point where we know the build is stable, through testing, then I'll start to tweak more.
I will say that I experience no lag on the current. Build, running my usual email, browser, music, market, etc. I generally use ADW EX, but am using stock home while testing., and it is smooth...

animated, or static backgrounds would fill the whole scree to the last pixel.
On the 3,7" HTC HD1 it was such a major improvement that people would

I'm running the UEALD3 Stock, Rooted, and Deodexed rom, works fine.
This mod does change your icons to that Android blue...
Any chance of a version that keeps the gray icons? Softer on the eyes imho

I would have to agree with him. If it only applies to your ROM, than it would be best to put it in the same thread as your ROM. If it is for other ROMs as well as samtran suggests, than a separate thread is fine. My opinions
But I would like to know which ROMs it does work with. Does it work with pure rooted stock?

I'm pretty sure it said (before I added the stock version) that it was for my ROM.
There's no pleasing some people on this site is there? We sit behind our desks for hours figuring out how to do the things people ask us to do, way more than we normally would just for ourselves. And yet, somebody always has to complain about something. You posted it in the wrong place, your post doesn't say the right thing, your mod isn't exactly what I wanted, can you do it over?
Then people complain when we get angry, or just stop doing things.
Go figure.

Many of us do appreciate your (and ALL the devs) time and efforts.
As a dev myself (.NET sorry!), as much as I would love to learn to muck around with Android, I just don't have the time or energy to get into it.
But I do know all the pain and frustration involved in debugging and getting out a clean build!
There does seem to be a lot of etiquette policing on this site...I guess a lot of people...especially non-devs...don't realize all the time and work that goes into all these mods and roms.

When you say multiple versions could that include T2 10.1? Im looking for what your offering but theres not much being offered for the 10.1. I'm running stock rooted at present on my 10.1. these early stages of development are crucial to all models so I'm checking all models to see whats going on with the new GT2's,

'Stock' version working on rooted stock ROM and Kernel, 4.0.3 / 3.0.8, IML74K.P3113UEALD3.
Also to help anyone new to this, the MOD file is installed by flashing it using CWM or similar, just as with other types of update zips.

No need to try this mod. Update your from to lf2 v.4.0.4 for p3100. In that you get a option to remove the screen capture option from the home screen.

Phone is getting hot very fast when screen is enabled (but it can sleep, so it's not hungry ).
Also, as you wrote, camera, sd-card not working, but Wi-Fi is not working too.

I'm installing each version of your firmware from 1.0.6.1, and it's getting better each time
I think troubles with Media Server and Camera related to sdcard trouble.
Also, Browser works bad - page is flickering all time, but anything else works great Maybe it's related to OC GPU?
I can logcat or do something else if you need... Maybe I can look out the problem myself, but it will took too long to understand source code I never develop firmwares, only apps...(

yes, the wifi toggle works flawlessy but thats all, it doesnt want to scan, find, connect
but as i said, you can play with the toggle
second build is uploaded.
fixed camera (behaves like in previous velox builds, so 1 picture, you need to force close, can take another picture and repeat)

tested the recent build and it always gets smoother than before, also the wallpaper picker now doesnt crash anymore

Up and running and so far so good the ROM is amazing especially with a Lollipop theme on. For some reason the camera likes to have a greenish overlay with the front camera and crashes using the denoise function will try 3rd party.
Tried Google camera and also has greenish effect on front camera which is weird

I guess it just doesn't play nice with my in-dorm light. College dorm lights aren't exactly of good quality lol. This is the only time I've seen it though since I don't usually run CM based ROMs. I'll just write it up as a CM problem on this device since we all know the camera doesn't operate the same. Guess this ROM is perfect then good job [emoji1].
If anyone has problems connecting to sprint service go to mobile network and under Access Point Names change it to one of the Sprint ones. It switched to boost on its own once but hasn't happened since.

lol i feel you man im a college student my self and i dont think it is a cm issue i went to see the commits maybe its the build hmm but my cousin told me that it was working for him
edit: at first this was just personal my cousin told me to build it for him and he told me everyting worked and since no one has yet released it and kitkat is about to end why not release it so yeah

go to settings/battery/ and on the top left conner you will see a battery just click on that and it will give you the options to pick your battery on the status bar
Just for u guys that are curious how battery life is, haven't been able to give a report on normal use since I start playing games on my phone and they destroy the battery on this device in general but I was using my phone for the passed hour or so without gaming and this is how it is so far. I'll try to limit myself tomorrow and only use my phone to browse the internet and Tapatalk but no games and I'll let u guys know how it turns out. So far looks very promising.

Holy crap. I usually only get around 4 to 5 hours of screen on time depending on the brightness even when only reddit/browsing. That is pretty awesome for 45 minutes of screen on time.
I might just have to flash this.
Been running this for almost a week now and am discovering it isn't tracking mobile data usage at all, only my wifi usage.
Is this a bug or some setting I overlooked?
Is there a specific radio that should be used with this rom? I keep losing data connectivity. I'll still be connected to the network and can make phone calls, but no 3g / lte data. I tried re-flashing the radio for the base I'm on, that has helped before when moving from sense or aosp roms but it didn't do anything.
I should note that data does work at first but after a half day or more sometimes it'll just be gone. I have not tried any other aosp roms lately, just this one.
It's very strange, it'll say connected via lte in the settings and show signal but no data....
I just restored a backup of a sense rom I did this morning and it's working fine.
