[Q] GravityBox not working on Android Revolution HD 4.0 for GPe - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just a heads up. If you have Android Revolution HD Google Play Edition (3.2 and below) and love GravityBox, may be worth holding off. I flashed 4.0 and GravityBox stopped working. When I try to launch it, I get the error "GravityBox system framework not responding. Exiting."
I guess I'll wait until GravityBox is updated because the new ARHD is great. Super smooth.
Anyway, curious if it is working for anyone that has already updated?

It's not working for me either. I also have a problem with BusyBox. I upgraded from 3.2 to 4.0 earlier today. BusyBox says there's an update. The ROM came with v1.21.0.git installed to /system/xbin, but when I try to install 1.21.1 I get a message saying "It looks like BusyBox is installed, but It does not appear to be the version you selected to have installed, you may want to try the installation again but this time using a different installation location".
Not sure if they're related, though.

Probably the same root cause. I'm guessing they just aren't compatible with the updated firmware. I tried installing the GravityBox update but the issue persisted.

Well, I seemed to have fixed it up. It was probably a noob fix. I had to install/update Xposed and reboot. This ended up fixing GravityBox (I was still on 2.5.5 at the time). I've since upgraded to GB 2.5.7, and had some issues, but cleaned the framework, reactivated the GB module, and rebooted and all is well again.

[Q] Unable to install Xposed framework

[Solved] Reinstalled Framework from recovery using the ARHD zip file I had. Works perfectly since then.
I'm using an HTC One (M7) unlocked and rooted. I have the Xposed Installer installed and have been using the Sense Toolbox and a couple of other modules fine until recently.
The sense toolbox (and other modules) worked fine (meaning I could see all the tweaks working), but I had the message saying something like 'The latest version of Xposed is curently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?'.
When I went into the Xposed Installer and tried installing the framework, the screen would go blank and the phone would restart and I would have the same message in the Installer. All this while, the modules I have installed are working fine.
I tried to uninstall the framework and then reinstall it, but now my modules don't work too and I can't install the framework. It just reboots. No boot-loop or anything. Just a reboot. Same red error message in the Xposed Installer.
I'm not sure if my issue started after I dirty-flashed ARHD 53 (coming from 51) or after I recently updated my Xposed framework.
Any suggestions? I miss my Xposed modules
Thank you for your help.
Use the alternative install method to flash in recovery.
Thank you for the reply. After seeing your reply, I remembered that ARHD gives an option to install Xposed when you flash the ROM, so I went into recovery and flashed Xposed Framework again. It's working now again, although I'm on an older version of the framework.
I'll update the framework and see if it's a problem with the new version. if it is, I'll just go back to the old one.
Edit: Updated the Xposed Framework version to the latest 2.5 and everything is working perfectly now.
[Problem Solved] Thank you.

Wifi Protector app doesnt work on 4.4 if xposed installed.

Hey @rovo89 , i use wifi protector app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gurkedev.wifiprotector&hl=en) and it works great with android 4.3, but in 4.4 and if xposed is installed the it just keeps crashing. I attach also a logcat, take a look if you can.
UPDATE: Xposed 2.5 working fine, but the bug exists in 2.6Beta1, so i guess that the problem is in something that change in 2.6.
UPDATE 2: I just realise that xposed 2.5 doesn actually work (even if i activate it and show that binary and bridge is installed, its says that is not active, lol), so this is maybe the reason that the app works.. i m out of ideas...
Looks like it's caused by a module (though I can't tell which; being on mobile doesn't help). Try disabling all modules and see if it still happens.

Already try it, i did a clean install of cm11, i install wifi protector-it worked, then i install latest xposed=crash. After that i install the xposed 2.5 (the first compactible with 4.4) and wifi protector worked fine, but on 2.6 beta 1 is broken again, so i think that whatever is the problem is a change that happens on this version.
+1, worked on stock rooted, but not cm11
Please see:

It should be fixed with the nightly from July 16. If you are using other CM-based ROMs or a snapshot, you might have to wait longer.

[Q] Has anyone successfully installed the Xposed Alpha on Lolipop 5.1?

I tried once and the phone was able to boot but my Google Services kept crashing upon loading the apps, but I am not sure if that was because I disabled some of the system apps (probably was honestly), thankfully I made a TWRP backup after rooting and was able to restore my phone, but since the FXZ hasn't been released yet for 5.1 I am hesitant to try again if nobody else has gotten it to work...
Has anyone had any success with installing the latest Xposed Alpha while on Lolipop 5.1?
Edit: Meh, screw it, trying again, I'll keep you guys updated on my progress...
Edit2: Booted up fine with no Google Services errors but complained about a modules.list file while initializing the framework so I am re-installing and wiping cache
Edit3: Same error, so I downloaded a module, enabled it and rebooted my phone
Edit4: After another lengthy optimization process... still doesn't work, stuck on Xposed initializing, downloaded a new version made on 6/24 and trying that with a cache wipe
Edit5: Still doesn't work, same error, stuck on "Initializing XposedBridge version 64"
Edit6: Determined to get this to work... so I uninstalled Xposed Installer alpha 3 and am using alpha 2
Edit7: After installing the older Installer alpha, I see that the framework version numbers are being reported correctly! Enabling a module and rebooting
Edit8: No crash for the test module, rebooting with GravityBox and XGels for a final test before confirming that it works
Edit9: Works like a charm! I'll post a tutorial in the general section on how to get it working
I got it working about two weeks ago, was working fine. I ended up flashing to the backup before xposed because some of the modules weren't working yet in lollipop and others that were, the custom rom that I'm running already covered the same thing in settings

Installed yesterday, the alpha 2 worked fine here as well, but I only use GravityBox.
theres already a FXZ/SBF http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/official-xt1058ghostretbr5-1-fxz-sbf-rom-t3144161/page2, its for the XT1058 Brazillian retail though.

Xposed Framework On Stock 5.0.2 L90 D415

Have anyone succesfully got Xposed Framework running on stock 5.0.2 L90 D415??
I think you have to get a new recovery (twrp) in order to install xposed and then install the rom again.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I flashed the zip file, wiped cache, and reboot. My phone booted up but i got com.android.phone force closing. Weather app also force closes. And since com.android.phone force closes you get no signal.
My experience...did the lollipop ota for tmo, didn't really care for it much. Used one click root, added flashify and twrp custom recovery and did a nandroid backup. Installed xposed arm zip and it just stuck on the lg logo for quite a long time. Second attempt i did the wipe after installing xposed and it made it past lg logo to tmo boot and hung up. In my reading, saw something about xposed will not work on stock firmware. But isn't xposed for people that want to mod stock roms? Main thing is...back up before anything. Have already used mine 4 times.
So I originally flashed the latest xposedv66 and was not successful. Found xposed-arm-20150213b.zip everything looked good, even had signal. Like you, weather app stopped. So, I tried file manager to get to the installer and it stopped also..
If you're going to do it, BACK UP BEFORE YOU INSTALL. I cannot get it to work, reason why? I do not have the logs but if you install liveboot and activate it, then install the zip and reboot, liveboot will show you a command that is supposed to activate but fails and retries. Its essentially a bootloop but without the reboot. It will not allow you to boot without that feature being activated. Do it for yourself but remember to back up all system partitions and restore them. When you reboot after restore, the system will do the whole 'optimizing apps 1 out of 200' thing so don't worry if it takes a while to boot. Will have more on this when I get home to my laptop.

I tried the one you suggested and I successfully rebooted. However, Lollipop ran slower and then I opened the alpha apk that came on the official thread. It said alpha 3.0 was installed but not activated. So I just decided to restore to before I installed. Xposed is being worked on and its in its alpha stage. Its bound to have bugs. Since THE D415 already has root, I'm fine to wait for an official version of Xposed that works to come out. Also, Even though I had 2 Gigs of data left on internal, there was a notification pestering me saying there was little to no storage left on my phone. Otherwise, no app crashes.

Flashing the ROM again will only wipe/remove xposed.
It's a known fact that lg weather doesnt work on xposed lollipop i also found that file manager didnt work during my period of testing, i don't know if i experienced com.android.phone force closing since I restored from my backup but xposed is definitely not usable on stock lollipop.

Weather app, File manager app works on Lollipop D415 no problem or still buggy with some apps but fixed some others?

There are newer versions of xposed that fix compatibility issues with LG's encrypted apps (weather, etc) since my post, so they should work with the newer versions of xposed. I only recommended version v68 because I never really use LG apps so I went ahead with such an update. Hope this helps!
Xposed for visually impaired users
Hi, everyone!
I'm visually impaired and I've been "adapting" and customizing my stuff (for a better, more comfortable usability) since 1998 (for Win and Mac) and 2010 for mobile devices, with great success.
I could install the Xposed framework to my Galaxy Tab 3 running KK 4.4.2 (Serbian Stock) back in 2012. But I cannot find a way to install it to my LG L90 D410 running Lollipop 5.0.2.
The option for those specific brands and models in based on the need for good cost-benefit ratio pieces of equipment, so that anyone can benefit from my findings, even those running on a low budget.
I'm preparing a podcast and an YouTube channel on accessibility.
All that put, I'd appreciate any input on how to make the Xposed framework to work on the LG L90. Suggestions o modules that can be useful for vision impaired people will be very welcome too.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Xposed Installer Static Busybox

Hi, experts,
When I tried to install the Xposed Framework, I was led by the Installer to install a fix for the "Segmentation fault" known to my ROM. However, after installing the fix apk, the installation of the Framework was not successful as I expected. My phone stopped the Beat Audio image (with occasional vibrations) before getting into the normal interface screen. I pressed the power button a few times and eventually brought the phone to work as before The Xposed Installer shows that the Framework is not installed.
I am using an ICS 4.0.3 based custom ROM (EnergyROM 1/Aug/2012) on an HTC Amaze 4G.
Could anyone tell me how to make Xposed work on this particular ROM?
Other popular custom ROMs on HTC Amaze are also based on ICS 4.0.3. But maybe at least they work with Xposed after the fix? The "Revolution ROM" was made in Jan, 2014 - maybe it can avoid the busybox problem?
Thank you for your time and help.
Solved. Xposed Installer 1.5.1 works with this ROM. The busybox fix is still needed. One needs to manually install it before install the framework. So far the youtube modules work on my phone.
