[Q] HTC one RUU and System broken - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I need help. Yesterday my phone lost mobile data connect and ever get back on even restart. So I go to t-mobile store. They tell me to do factory reset. But after I reset it, system was broken. It just show the notification bar, everything else was black. I have no control of it until it restart. I tried to unlock and root it and install other rom, but 4.3 rom also crashes. I relock it and ruu it. Still, system not work.
HELP ME PLEASE

That's weird, in fact cannot happen. Try install a recovery and flash a rom (zip format). Any rom will do.

Actually when u try RUU, the Radio is re-installed too. U sure that the version of RUU is correct with you One?

Okay cool. Try flashing the Radio (4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04).
If it does not help, try a old version of RUU. 4.2.2 maybe.

RUU fails

Hi,
I want to go back to the original Android 4.0 because the different roms I tried all show some problems like apps stuck and stuff. I saved the RUU to my laptop, one which I knew it worked. But when I tried to use it 5 mins ago it said BOOTLOADERVERSION ERROR (translated it to english, don't know if the error is right in English, could be something like Signature error) and that I have to get the right bootloader. I'm currently using AOKP's IceColdSandwich, which RUU do I need to get back to the stock Android?
HBOOT 2.02.0002
RADIO 3831.18.00.1_M

I have already relocked the bootloader. Just read that the RUU I tried to run is for a 2.01.0001 HBOOT and I now have HBOOT 2.02.0002, would that make any differences?
actually the issue is with ur RUU you can't downgrade your bootloader version...try running the ruu with matched bootloader version...

Need Help Bootlooping

Hey guys, so I was easily able to unlock the bootloader. However, the problems began when I flashed recovery. After that I have been getting only bootloops. Thus, I did a factory reset, which fixes it, however, once I restart or turn the phone off the bootloops start again. Which means I am constantly factory resetting my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

thanks for all your help!! I think i may have got it. I reflashed recovery then rebooted the bootloader, then booted into recovery through the bootloader, then wiped everything. It seems to boot now and I am able to restart and shut down without a problem. Hopefully it sticks. Thanks again for taking the time I really appreciate it.

[Q] Root, S-Off HTC One 1.31.651.2

Hi guys,
I'm getting a new HTC One, as my current device is having screen issues. My replacement will be in later this week, and it will almost certainly have the new update (1.31.651.2) installed. My old device was able to be S-Off'd using Moonshine, as it is running a supported version (1.29.651.10.) That's the newest version Moonshine supports, so my question is how will I S-Off my new phone? Will Revone work?
Thanks in advance!

I am so sorry! I found that thread, but it just said 1.31. So I wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for. There were more than one 1.29 updates, so I figured the same for 1.31. I'm very deeply sorry!

My tendency is to go ahead and get s-off, but I still struggle with what it will gain you on this particular device. Unlocking the bootloader seems sufficient.

One very important thing with s-off is if you get soft bricked on 1.31 you will need s-off to be able to use the 1.29 RUU since as of now there is no 1.31 RUU. That's just one example.

I'm not even sure if I need S-Off at this point, I'm having an entirely different problem, but this method is perfect for downgrading.
I have an HTC One, 1.31 stock, rooted, android 4.1, no changes have been made whatsoever
As most of you may know, android 4.3 OTA was just released, being rooted it seems OTAs will refuse to install
I understand the main fix to the problem is using the stock recovery, which I've obtained and flashed with no avail using multiple stock recoveries.
Including the recovery in the framework folder of the 4.3 update itself.
I've tried plenty of other methods such as "OTA Root Keeper", again, with no avail..
Looking at the options I have left, it looks like downgrading to a 1.29 RUU using this DD method to remove root and (hopefully) be able to install 4.3 via stock recovery, however I'm not interested resetting my phone.
Again.
I'm curious if someone here has another suggestion to install the OTA Android 4.3 update that won't require me to lose everything!
I'd definitely be willing to throw some $$$, "PayPal donations" as someone else offered, for a fix.
Thanks!

As far as I can figure, the stock rooted 4.3 Sprint ROM here won't include the firmware (radio, etc). Not sure if updating the ROM without the firmware will cause problems (I've read some people's touch screens are going out).
