CarrierIQ? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just exchanged my G2 for this beautiful Note 3, and after seeing CarrierIQ on the G2, I was curious...I have disabled all AT&T apps that I can. Anyone else seeing this?

[Q][APP][REQ]'Write and Go' app I saw on an Infuse. Install on Nexus S? APK attached.

Saw this app 'write and go' on a Samsung infuse. I assumed it was standard fare on the infuse.
Does anyone have this apk/odex file(s) available to upload? I'd like to install it if possible. Thank you!

Ive uploaded the Write & Go apk file. (not certain if its the latest version.)
If anyone is able to break it down and get it going on my Nexus S 4G, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the bump.
I liked what I saw when I briefly used the app in a store. If we cant get anyone to get this port to happen...can anyone recommend a full featured note app? I prefer paid or premium apps. Thanks!

Nexus 4-T-Mobile U.S.A Thread

The thread was not started for a Q And A.Because this is a world phone I thought T-Mobile customers can have a thread of their own.
Examples: pricing, deals, rebates, and yes even LTE info. All things T-Mobile.

I just got 70dollars unlimited unthrottled plan two days ago?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
They dropped the price from $549+$50 rebate yesterday, which I bought yesterday, to $457.99 no rebate today. Went back to price match today and the said no manager on duty, try again tomorrow.

if you have root, add this to your build.prop file(/system/build.prop/) then reboot for it to take effect. see if it helps you.

I have a unlimited plan and I just tether.I was wondering if it comes with unlimited plans like the one that a person stated in a previous post or if I should expect a message from them.I always felt that root did the trick.

should you expect a message, probably, eventually, depending how much you tether. it took them a looooong time and lots of data before they stopped me. root has nothing to do with them stopping you from tethering, root just gives you "administrative" permission over your phone.

Its being worked on. No updates other then we have a solid unbrick method. If something comes out of it im sure the devs will post it, otherwise no sense getting hopes up

Agreed. We have root which is better than nothing. And that didn't take long at all. Faster than I had hopes for. So I'm sure it's being worked on very diligently, just gotta be patient. Plus with xposed you can still do some pretty good cool things.
Pretty sure you'd know about it. Lol.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using xda app-developers app
Read around. From what I've read Designgears(the guy who gave us root) and chainfire(awesome Samsung dev) are both working for it. Whoever figures it out will make a nice paycheck off it.

Purposeful throttling

Does anyone know a manner in which to purposefully throttle my data (like 40kbps)? I'd prefer slightly slower data so my kids couldn't use it up so fast on accident.

Can't say I've ever heard of anybody wanting to do that, but I'm sure you can call and request that from AT&T.

That's actually the best idea. Disable the LTE capability of his phone.
But then it is dead slow

all the better. so kids will just be "to hell with it" and leave your phone alone.
It won't be _that_ slow. 3g is the perfect answer.

Kit Kat Antutu Benchmark

How many of you have noticed a huge drop in your benchmark after the kit Kat update? I was scoring right above the Gnote 3 to barely passing the gnote 2.

I did notice a slight drop. I was scoring above the gnote 3 and now i am just under it since 4.4 update.
Sent from my LG-D950 using xda app-developers app
Mine still scores better than note 3. I switched to art just to try it and it scored much lower on art.

Mines below the g2 and it freezes and reboots itself now. At&t is sending me a replacement in a few days because of it
I just literally makes me wonder. I know not all devices are equal, but if I had known i would have taken this big of a performance hit I would have never upgraded. Other than the knock feature it just wasn't worth it. I could already take picture ect in 4k resolution on my device. Which seems kind of moot to me it only being a 720p display. I switched to art and yeah it was an even bigger hit. So i placed it back into dalvik.

You can easily flash back. Reroot etcetera, until they maybe get the custom recovery going and we can get some custom Roms. Also most developers will tell you that benchmark tests are really not that important.

Agreed, but it just seemed odd to me when there were claims of performance improvements in processing.
Sent from my LG-D950 using XDA Premium HD app
Okay so i unchecked "optimize memory" before running the test again. The benchmark scored well above the gnote3 afterwards.

as others have said, benchmark scores mean absolutely nothing when it comes to comparative performance, so dont waste any brain matter worrying about it..
