I think I noticed this also, but I am rooted with TWRP. I noticed if I perform a restart, my phone will boot up get to the final load of the lock screen for 1 second then reboot 1 more time and loads up ok. This kind of worries me a little :/

[Q] Has this happened to anyone else?

So my Droid 3 that has been on all day, just rebooted its self for no reason, funny thing is that it now shows a full charge. I know for a fact that when I used it about two hours ago that it was at around 50%. Anyone have a clue?
battery drops and restore to 100% after a reboot, looks like the issue with my previous 2.3.4 phone Atrix 4G... but not with this Droid3
BTW, I got the first random reboot today :-(

Nexus 7 Display Sleep keeps reverting back to 30 seconds

So after the recent 4.2 update on my Nexus 7 it seems my Display Sleep keeps reverting back to 30 seconds and I can't get it to stay on anything else. I thought it might have been because of the Live Wallpaper I was using or enabling Daydream but I've played around with different settings and can't get it to stop switching back to 30 seconds. The only thing I can think of is that it happened after the update. Also my Wifi keeps dropping out and I've read elsewhere this has been an issue with the update as well. Any ideas?

And I'm having the same problem again. My display is resetting back to 30 seconds rather than the 10 minutes I want it at. Any ideas? I really don't want to do a reset again.
Root it, flash a custom ROM and you're good.
Nexus is Latin for root me immediately, haha

i honestly just dont see a need to flash roms anymore. android has just has gotten that good. i can see some people needing root which we have. but flashing roms is long gone for atleast me. just tired of it i guess.

1 word: Nandroid
I went through 3 different Note 3s because of various quality control issues and the ability to make a nandroid would have been amazing since I had to setup everything 4 times after rooting 2 different phones. Other than that, I don't really care too much about custom roms, unless they offer some benefit in addition to the Xposed framework modules and debloating I did.

The first N3 kept an Edge data signal most of the time and would never lock onto and LTE signal for more than 10 seconds. The second one, and about 6 others I looked at in the store, had issues with the home button getting stuck under the glass. It was just during regular use, not trying to force it. If I tapped on the button off-center, it would get stuck under the glass, and constantly make the task manager pop up. The manager tried to call my bluff until she repeated the same when using the phone normally, instead of holding it horizontally and letting the weight of the phone release the button each time. I felt like it was back in the Hot Wheels days of searching for Treasure Hunts. I got one that doesn't seem to have any issues so far, aside from my E-mail FC, but I'll figure that out.

Good to know. I'm not too fond of the home button swimming around. I'm having mic issues. I have to hold it to my mouth for the phone to register.

Bottom line is there is no custom recovery and from what I understand there won't be unless the boot loader gets unlocked.

You can get n900a-cwm-recovery.tar from: http://d-h.st/mVG
However, bootloader of N900A is locked. You cannot flash it with Odin.
What we expect is Unlock bootloader.

Weird vertical line on screen.

The title explains it all, this just started happening this morning. I even booted into recovery and can see it not it bootloader. There was a couple sense 5.5 roms I flashed before that had this but now its on CM 10.1. And its very annoying I haven't dropped my phone or applied any type of pressure to the screen. Wondering if anyone has solution or any knowledge if why this happens.

I hope you realize that there isn't anything on these screenshots. Most likely your problem is hardware related not software related, that's why it doesn't show up in the screenshots

Oh wow stupid me! Thanks I still see it on phone but not on my computer. I'm try flashing a ROM or running an ruu see if itll fix the problem.

Just a heads up, don't get excited. This is most likely a hardware problem.
Try putting it in the freezer overnight, it has solved many of these issues(not kidding). Just make sure you wrap it with a plastic bag

I decided not to run an ruu. I just held my power button for two minutes. Everything is back to normal.

Play Services keeps crashing...

I don't know why it's happening. I put the phone down for the night last night and everything was fine, upon picking it up today the error started popping every few minutes several times in a row, without seeming provocation.
I'm including the Stack trace. It seems to involve MediaDrm Provisioning and gms.
I'm rooted and s-off 4.3, 3.05.651.6.

Anyone have any idea at all how to make it stop? It pops the error up every few seconds for a good minute at a time. Shouldn't there be something I can do with my phone rooted to make it stop?

Have you tried force stopping and clearing the cache for Google play services?
Sent from my kangaroo powered Inverted ViperONE using Tapatalk 2
Yup. Even tried uninstalling the update and updating it again. No go. ; ;

Actually, I lied. I did the uninstall update/reinstall, but never did clear the cache. That seems to be working for the moment.
What do you think may have caused it, since it seems to have happened while I was asleep?

Not sure, maybe something got corrupted during the update. Anytime a app starts acting up that's the first thing I do. Glad it's resolved.
