[Q] How can I get the HTC stock camera app on Cyanogenmod? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently flashed Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my device, and I'm interested in getting the One's stock camera app ported over. Any ideas how? I really like the new ROM overall, but the Google stock camera app is SEVERELY LACKING. To the point where there is a blueish hue on the borders of all my pictures (I'd assume due to the "Ultrapixel" sensor on the One). Yes, I understand that I won't be able to get Zoe because its a HTC Gallery feature, but that's the main reason why I want it.
Thanks in advance!

Its very unlikely. Along with the camera.apk the sense framework would also need to be ported to get the camera working. Sense framework does not play nice with AOSP.

Its possible on GPe 4.2, it is not possible on GPe 4.3. In 4.2 they still had the Sense Framework. Also GPe is not AOSP.

You want to port the app to another device or just try and use like this ?
It will only work on a Sense 3.5 framework device and I dont think only those 2 apks will do...

[Req] HTC Camera on Cyanogenmod 7.2

I am using the Cyanogenmod 7.2. And the camera app is simply horrible. I checked out the many camera apps available on market but none came near to match the HTC stock camera app. This and the widgets are the only reason I keep coming back to HTC sense rom. It would bbe very helpful if somebody could port these to be used in Cyanogenmod. Atleast somebody please port the HTC camera.
Firstly, this is the wrong section and secondly, you can't have HTC Sense stuff in an AOSP based ROM (CM7)

yep, and after making that clear: it looks like many people like the Miui camera. You could take it from the LeWa ROM for example

You can try with UCam

Thanked you by accident.
HTC Sense apps need the Sense framework to work. Since CM is AOSP, the framework is different. So they won't work. Try lgCamera instead, it has a lot more features than the Sense camera.
Maybe an new app who look like htc sense camera interisting ..
Edit:
New release of sense camera for aosp jellybean rom.you have only to port that app to gingerbread and you will have sense camera .

Google Edition Lockscreen?

Is there anyway to get the Google Edition Lockscreen? Currently running cyanogenmod 10.2
Not sure that would be able to happen since the GE ROM is built on Sense framework.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Isn't the GE lock screen the same as the CM one?
I'm using the GE ROM now and it appears to be the stock aosp lock screen.

It is the same.

I stand corrected. Thought there was some functionality in the lock screen that was sense based.

It's just the AOSP lockscreen...

And you're right, I doubt just pulling the lockscreen apk over would work. The only thing that makes them "the same" is that they're visually the same.

Camera mod for GPE

There is a mod somewhere around here to have the regular Sense 5 camera on a GE ROM.

But the Sense 5 Camer will not work on 4.3! Just on 4.2.2; Some framework issue.
So we must life with the horrible Picture Quality on HTC ONE | [ROM] Android Revolution HD 3.2 Google Edition | Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

[request] Sense Style Recent Apps

I don't if it's even possible but I thought I'd ask. I prefer having the sense style recent apps layout on aosp. I'm currently on gpe so I wanted to see if someone could possibly port that over with a flashable zip or however it would work. Thanks.

I too need this. But on CM11. Please port this!
