This will be a tutorial for people who want to Triple Boot on their Nexus 4. I will not explain how to unlock/root or install a newer or older version of TWRP.
The tutorial is based on having an Android ROM as a base. I will be using the PSX rom as main.

Step 1: Download the following files for MultiRom support on TWRP:
MultiROM: multirom-20131005-v16-mako.zip
Modified recovery (TWRP 2.6.3.0): TWRP_multirom_mako_20131006.img
Click to collapse

Step 2; Flash a Kernel that supports the Kexec Hardboot patch. Or of course built your own.
Franco Kernel
Trinity Kernel
Faux Kernel
I will eventually add more

Click to collapse

Step 3: Installing FirefoxOS
Download the following files:
System (Build September 30)
User Interface (Build October 5) FirefoxOS 1.3
Install the Mako_FFOS-20130930_system.zip as new ROM in the MultiROM interface. When it is installed go to List ROMs.
Then Flash ZIP the Mako_FFOS-20131005_UI_1.3.zip User Interface.
When you reboot your Nexus 4 you will be able to boot into FirefoxOS
Click to collapse

Step 4: Installing Ubuntu Touchhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324683
For Ubuntu Touch to boot you need at least the 9-10-2013 built. This can be found on the Ubuntu website: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/daily-preinstalled/
You will need the saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.zip as a base.
And saucy-preinstalled-touch-armel+mako.zip as the second thing to install.
In MultiROM there is a seperate menu for adding Ubuntu Touch to the MultiROM list. This will take a while.
You will now be able to boot Ubuntu Touch when rebooting the device. Please know that the latest nighly's take a very long time to boot. At least 1,5 minutes.
Click to collapse
Here is a Youtube video of it all. I also included a second Android ROM with a different kernel. The Main android ROM has the Franco Kernel and the second one has the NEO kernel.

Just a query, as I'm not well versed in dual booting. Will dual or triple booting cause throttling, heating or performance issues. Oh and also will it provide battery for a day's use, since it's booting three OS?

Not that I have experienced. You will boot each OS seperatly and not at the same time, so it should not cause any hardware issues.

I am trying to help people direct them to the right download links for each operating system. If you want to multiboot the latest stable UbuntuTouch version you will be stuck at the Google logo. Just pointing out the nightlies downloads.

Yes it does. When I first starting using MultiRom I used PA 3.99 too. The only problem is the kernels. If you wish so flash another kernel on a second Android rom you will get graphic problems like you would have with JSS or JWR differences.

Oh yeah, thank you for this

Thanks I'm trying right now, and very angry with "add rom" option don't showing in TWRP, but working on the boot of device...

does this wipe any files from the storage part of the data partition?

It should not wipe anything. I am not the creator of any of these files so you should rather ask them.

Great tutorial I've been playing with multirom all week. It's so useful being able to test any ROM without disturbing the internal.

Now it works, problem was that Flashy app, don't be able to flash .img file recovery properly.

how can i use 4.2.2 roms as my secondary?

Just flash the ROM. The kernel with KEXEC only needs to be installed for the Primary ROM. (This allows MultiROM to ignore it when booting other ROMS)
@Zenety Tasssadar created a new test recovery img that fixes the data issue with installing UTouch as the second+ ROM. I haven't checked yet to see if he's updated his OP, but you may want to keep this in mind.

[ON_HIATUS][ROM][BETA][Froyo]LinuxMotion presents Conical Rom

Hello to all members of the community.
My intentions here are to gain knowledge of the Android embedded/mobile platform.
I am a full time college student preparing to earn a B.S. in computer engineering and Pure Mathematics.
Right now i have earned a A.S in Mathematics and will complete a A.S. in computer science information system with specialization in hardware in june.
I have knowledge of C/C++, Java, bash scripting and i use Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit Linux as my primary OS.
Since i am a student most of my work will be done towards the weekend.
The Linux Motion is owned and maintained by myself so please excuse any faulty links.
With that said I would like to present a new ROM based off of the AOSP Froyo to everyone called Conical. As of right now it is still in the alpha testing stages.
Concepts and Ideas for Conical ROM

Worked like a charm. Light fix didn't work. But thank you vey much.
Do you know how to acquire a baseband. The radio image is there, but apparently it does not register. Could it be in the build process as i added, what i believe to be the necessary Verizon properties to the build.prop file

I love battery life, and I'd rather go "oh I need this app, i should download it" than have 40 apps I'll never use and have to delete everytime I install a new version of a Rom ----______----
This ROM has some potential. Keep up the great work!
BFS kernel #1 is not for the Evo. King just forgot to change Evo to Incredible. He has said this so it is nothing to worry about.

Just to let everyone know, installing Google Apps completely broke it for me. Setup Wizard and com.android.google.gapps kept force closing over and over, couldn't use it at all. Also it kept nesting my internal storage under a 0 folder every time I reflashed. So before I returned to CM10 I had sdcard0/0/0/ with all my stuff under that last folder, which made it difficult to restore my nandroid backup...

4.2 made this. I remember we had that problem when I had my GNex. It's a multiuser if I'm correct
Sent from my XT925
Any way to get GApps to work correctly? Everything seemed to go fine when I went without it. Maybe it was the zip I was using? I was only able to find one GApps package, they don't seem to be hosted on the CM Wiki any more.
My hero
Thanks epinter you are my hero!
Amazing work, will try it right now and report asap
UPDATE:
using CWM, flashed rom then gapps from goo.im/gapps (the 4.2 version), then wipe + reboot.

I didn't try yet, but I'm almost sure it will not work. The display code in the kernel was changed, and the display libraries upgraded. When I have time, I will test and try to make a version for safestrap.

That would be great. I tried installing it in a slot and all I got was the boot animation. I let it sit for over 20 mins but it never finished booting.

if you got the boot animation, the display worked. You can look the logcat to see what's happening.

4.4.2, but that didn't look right when I was making the banner. I put 4.4 trying to cover that too

We don't have an external SD slot.
Just use this:
"I accidentally wiped everything including the internal SD!"
Code:
adb sideload
Also, don't know if you manage the site, but if you give me a quick list of additional non-CM features, I can make it look neat for the Features page.

Hi @vedantgp,
I have run this great CyanFox Rom for the last 12 hours, it run good overall (except for rotation as mentioned). Very smooth.
Thanks.
I've installed this ROM and it's good but it gets laggy at times and just the rotation, since I love watching video using my phone, it's not favorable. Hehe, well. I'm willing to wait for the fix and will try to get back on it! Thanks for great ROM!

You need to update your recovery in order flash KitKat ROMs. The latest CWM (6.0.4.3) or Philz are the only two that will do it . I recommend Philz.

I have install this one, and it's a great rom.
Actually i think is the best one i have tryed till now.
I have v.2.0.2.
Single problem is the rotate function which works and not
But i have seen that is up a Experimental one launched in 16.01.2014!
Did anyone tryed it? What does bring new?
This is working great for me, the audio is no problem at all. I listen to hell lot of songs. Battery life is great. Yes, occasional lag is expected.

How to Install
Make sure you have the latest CWM or TWRP recovery
Copy the Rom zip file to Internal Storage
Backup your files and data (if you like, backup Data, System and Boot with Recovery)
If this is your first time on it and want a clean install to get no erros (but it's not needed), Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache (and if you are on TWRP, after this, go to Mount and uncheck System to get no errors)
Flash the Rom you want to use (This will flashs new Bootloader and new Radio too, automatically)
Restart and Setup this
If someone have any issues, please report here so I try to fix as soon as possible!
This works only with LTE Band 4 (AWS 1700/2100) that is supported by Nexus 4. If your carrier don't have support to Band 4 of LTE, I recommend that you use the version without LTE.

Awesome man Very useful, will you be themeing this as PA goes on? Like, PA has is own little UI going for it, but to keep the n5 experience, will you also be keeping the AOSP look?

I'll work the same way of my other work. Always trying to bring the closest experience of use of the Nexus 5, but bringing the very best in custom roms, just like I do in the roms I've ever done here.
