LG hasn't release the official ICS upgrade. if you want get ICS ROM go to development thread, there are many costum ICS ROM and Jelly Bean. i think the stable for daily use is korean repack. The korean pack comes from LG Official ICS for KU5900 that known as LG Optimus Black Korean version. there are little different about the memory storage size and has been successfully port to LG Optimus Black P970. The ROM use ICS Kernel and allmost everything work except SD Card and USSD CMIIW, i think it can be use for daily. If you run with costum ROM there is no free Bug, every ROM has a bug so choose the suitable for you
Hey! I wanted to update my lg optimus black to ics with the rom v30g the official update for lg optimus black, but the question is how can i root it if im in ics now?
If you have KU5900 and it is not rooted, flash the kdz of 30g(or bin, fls via smartflashtool)
if you are rooted and have cwm, flash the rom in development section...the KU5900 ICS rom. Its rooted.
If you have LG P970, you cannot flash kdz of KU5900 directly. You have to go to development section assuming you already have cwm, flash the KU5900 rom.
If you are talking about v30B france, you can flash it via smartflashtool or kdzupdater and root it with unlockroot.
