I also don't know and I can't run system-android ;/
In this version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934915, I can run system, and everything works without recovery (i must flash firmware via odin)
Now I flash stock via odin and i will make root -> cwm recovery -> and again try it

you need to be on ext4 supported custom rom. i.e cyanogenmod base.

I tried TWRP Manager & successfully backup current ROM.But I face problem while using reboot option as it didn't work.

why you don't read the thread carefully, i already mention there, after restore backup you need to flash the kernel again. Otherwise it always start in recovery mode.

BRO I just made a backup of my current ROM using TWRP Manager,it works.I didn't try to restore the back up.I was trying TWRP Manager & some of the option as REBOOT option of TWRP Manager not TWRP Recovery didn't work.
Sorry for the confusion.

I didn't use that app, And twrp working good, me myself test the recovery. Tested many times. Every functions working.
I did backup three times and restore two times, no problem yet.

I'd change the topic of the thread. To me, it looks like its a stock (read Samsung's TouchWiz) ROM. It was only later that I realized that this is an AOSP ROM.

maybe you can make us a Rom full of tweaks seriously stop this
useless complaning you have no idea how hard it is to make a Rom plus he added some stuff so that is custom for me
and his thread is open for suggestions on what to add next so this is just a preview of what's coming next

i am chilled but seriously mate there are hundreads of roms out there and you decided to pick on the new guy letting him down on his first Rom v1 don't screw up the chance of that new guy maybe he is going to be the next chainfire you never know
anyway i think he got some potential and hope to see a lot of great Roms from him in the coming months

HOW TO FLASH
NEW USERS
-follow this step by step guide if you are:
A new user. Completely zero know-how about flashing
An old user but coming from stock firmware and wants to do a complete clean flash
An old and lazy user who likes complaining rather than reading
REQUIREMENTS:
CWM Recovery by generated by MTK Droid Tools or CTR Recovery made by me
-this is a recovery for flashing flashable zips such as ROMS, KERNELS, THEMES, ETC
Xolo A500s device
-if this is not your device, stay away!
Lewa OS ROM package
-obviously, please get it on 1st post
PREPARE
-Backup all your contents, contacts, messages, notes, recording, porns, etc
Drink a glass of water and no matter what happen, never ever ever freak out
FLASH LEWA OS ROM
1.)Power Of Your XOLO A500s, until it vibrate.
2.)Enter CWM Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up + Power key for 3 seconds or until you see XOLO logo.
3.)Wipe Full Device, that means Data/Cache/Dalvik/System
4.)Now, Scroll Down To Choose zip from SDcard, press power key
5.)Again Press power key on install zip from sdcard.
6.)Flash LEWAOS.BUILD.XOLOA500s.BY.NIGHTWALKER.zip and choose Install The ROM.
7.)You Are Done, Reboot Your Device Wait Till Boot. (Booting Can Take Upto 10 Min maximum)
8.)After Booting again go to CWM/CTR Recovery by Pressing Volume Up + Power key.
8.)Select Install Zip from Sdcard and Select the Su Package.
9.)Then Reboot.
10.)Again boot into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up + Power key.
11.)Select Zip from Sdcard and choose Gapps.zip
12.) Reboot and you are all done.

i've your ctr v2.2 recovery. steps 1-9 are well understood. now, is it imperative that we flash gapps.zip? will it break the functioning of the device/rom if we choose not to? will maps & tts work if the respective apk's are pushed to /system/app and correct permissions set? point is i'd like to avoid as much g00gle [email protected] as possible.

tried. didn't appeal much to me. and, too much chinese. stock/aosp with xposed/gravitybox is more up my street. thanks.

yeah its ok or use PA-GAPPS mini or banks gapps
a short review, after using the ROM for an hour or two..:
everything works flawlessly, no bugs yet....(i am seriously trying to find some bug, but none yet.. )
a hell lot of customisation(i am in love with this rom )
fast, fluid, smooth..
i guess it is the best 4.4 rom for our device if you really like to control all the customisation in your rom...
do give it a try!!!

totally agree,rom is quick,smooth,report on battry after a day or two,everything seems to work great.
p.s flashed banks gapps mini(great)
how can i change the bootanimation? i cant find any file in system/media.
And even if i put the bootanimation.zip in system/media it doesn't works....
couple of small bugs-
on volume panel,settings icon isnt there until u press it,then it appears.
custom progress bar is mirrored even though mirrored is unticked,also the progress bar is white even though the colors are set different,but it works when u reset the colors

Should i flash boot.img first then flash rom??? I dont understand. I was on ICS stock kernel with CWM and flashed ROM and it works then flashed boot.img but it doesnt work

then flash the rom

then reboot into cwm

I think something got corrupted..

camera quality of all KK ROM are same bro flash the ROM being the 1st build it is way better than other KK roms

even i faced the same problem bro open the zip file with 7zip/winrar Click on test if u see any error download the rom again hope it helps

No it's currently not there for Ray... And yes you will need an unlocked bootloader for every rom newer than ics...

Hi mate.
No it was not bad download. I ****ed UP recovery somehow first time.
But i just Flashed STOCK ROM again with FlashTool and then as soon phone booted rebooted into Fastboot mode again and flashed kernel first then rebooted into Recovery and then flashed ROM. It takes a little while to flash but it was done.
I can just say its AWESOME Rom.. Smooth and no lag. All apps starts fast.

Why SD Card not accessible from app?Default file manager need to grant root access to enable sd card and to explore.I'm trying to share sd card file to PC via ShareIt but sd card is not accessible from ShareIt.Also connecting phone to PC using data cable occur the same problem,I can enter to phone memory but no for sd card.Even Music app not detecting music from sd card.

after formatting sd card through TWRp recovery CM only showing boot logo,even without sd card.
i have a common and weird problem is that if I lock my device with the power button it also disable Wifi connection and when unlock my phone wifi connect automatically.I have enabled "Keep wifi on during sleep" so that it won't disconnect wifi but still nothing changes.

No.It was fine on AOSP rom.On cm14 I am only able to use sd card by formatting it as a internal memory.

I leave 2 more zip, which are to add the calendar app and clock of android foot and root magisk18.1, the same can be installed once you finish configuring the mobile (accounts and app).
To avoid bug in the play store, I recommend deleting app data (play store and play store services).
The recognition of root app, is a bit slow but it is working, if any app gives root start lag, you should only erase data and force closure of app, I have tried again.***

What model do you have? the rom the probe and works correctly the trace, test a clean installation, and use the root that leaves in the link, the root that leaves there is the only one that is compatible with the rom, like the twrp is super stable, for a Rom rapida the secret is a good installation, full wipe ....
I flashed this Rom on my device "J7 Prime 2 (G611F)". The Rom works perfectly. The Rom is stable, light and fast. The sound is high and clear. With this Rom I have not faced any problem. Thank you very much "[email protected]". You are a great dev.

Im using Y variant .I think its a hardware problem. Do you have any ideas how to adjust the accuration of the fingerprint scanner? Any rom i flash its all the same

No battery problem trust me. I love this rom but the problem is my fingerprint scanner.
sdcard not working I used Kernell Oxygen to solve the problem also Samsonic account does not work omitted application and downloaded another version to solve the problem please solve in the next building

I flashed this rom without any problem, all features are working fine. try to flash again with clean installation.
