How is it possible to make folders in the photo album? If I make folders it not shows the folders in albums it only shows all photos.

I think this is not possible with the pre-installed gallery.
On my phone I use "Cool 3d Gallery" from the Play Store. There you have all your folders when starting the app.
And if you have a rooted phone you can use an Ad-Blocker to disable the annoying Pop-Up when closing the app.

I was going through my gallery this evening, and im finding it really annoying that ALL my album art is in there
Anybody any ideas if its possible to hide/remove images from the gallery? Or will I simply have to remove my album art(not that I really care about it!)?
create an empty file call .nomedia in ur album art folder and run the media scanner/dis-mount-remount ur sd/restart the phone. All folder with the .nomedia file will be ignored (image, music & video).
I am having the issue with album art showing up in the gallery but am hesitant to use .nomedia.
Will my music still be found if the album art is in the same folder as the music?
Will the album art be found for the music apps if there is .nomedia in the folder?
It seems we should be able to just specify where the gallery should look for pictures instead of scanning the entire SD.
The music app still functions fine. I have all of my album art embedded in my mp3s but when I had them as separate files they still showed up in the music app even though I had the .nomedia file.
You can easily delete that file and reboot if you want to go back.
how can I prevent pictures/ videos of games from creating new album in my library? recently when I installed games and themes too many albums popped out in my gallery.
Create empty file with name .nomedia in folder with images/videos which should not be in gallery

When I got to pictures gallery, I see a lot of folders, including pictures and coverart from my music folders, how do I get rid of those and tell gallery only look into certain folders? I really don't want to see all my music coverart and pictures/notes from each mp3 album I have on my SD card.
Any ideas?
I was wondering if there is a way to set the folder levels that the S5 recognizes in the music app. What I mean is, I have folders in the music folder for each artist and within those folders I have others for individual albums. When I go to the folders tab in the music app, it has each album folder listed instead of the artist folders with the albums as subfolders. Is it possible to change this?

Hi guys. Is there a setting for the Album app to capture only 1 album source (like DCIM)? Default setting is like all image files are shown like everything from screenshots to album arts from mp3s. It would be nice to select what folders to capture and show on the app. Is there a possibility of doing this or should I just use other apps?

Well, a workaround would be to use Quickpic and exclude all folders except the DCIM folder
Thanks biggie. I already got quickpic. But i really like album. I wish ony would make this a feature.
