how can the VAT (it's the english for IVA) could modify the price since now it's at 22%?

Usually in the other play store devices the usd to euro conversion is 1 to 1 independently from the taxes. Also since the real usd to euro conversion is 1 to 0.74 I think they can manage the 1% vat rise.

We didn't had the play store at the time, it opened only few weeks ago... In stores it was released only In January if I remember well.

yeah but I've never seen one on retail...I searched for it everywhere and in most cases, retailer doesn't even know wht a N4 was
I went to mediaworld, coop estense, unieuro, euronics, comet. sometimes I spot a N7 retail but it's rarer as much as finding 50€ on the ground

When the N4 was released you could only get one imported from another country and it was >500€. As more became available it was selling on Italian websites for around 450€ and only in 2013 did the price come down to ~360€. Now (if you can find it) it should be around 300€.

I got an imported one for 360€ no warranty but for that price it seemed a good bargain, at today it's still work greatly
nexus 5 leaked to the play store in other countries but still nothing in italy...

technically speaking the nexus 5, as the 4, is a worldwide phone, in N4 case only LTE was not functional here, but this feature was not officially supported by the phone itselfs, , so despite where you purchase one of this it will work in Italy, as in other country
only bias could be lack of guarantee.. but whatever.. doesn't mind, I want one of this

the playstore is working in italy now, why in the world should you buy a N5 abroad?
not to flame, but is working only for the nexus 7 2013, we did not have info if the N5 will be sold in Italy, and furthermore if the official one from google will cost more than an imported one I will go for that one, money talks

Well, they opened it after the n4 sold out almost everywhere, selling it at this point is a complete nonsense. For nexus 10 the story is not so different, if they're launching also a new nexus 10 why should they sell the old one partially saturating the market?

People in Italy currently the only band supported for LTE is Band 3 (1800Mhz), right?
One more question: If you have a prepaid SIM or a cheap PLAN with a limited internet speed per second and you're using an LTE Phone:
Are you able to connect to LTE networks (with internet speed cap) or you only connect to HSDPA networks? (The benefit of using LTE in this case would be the Latency).

I've already engaged in a email conversation with HTC Dev and they ensure me that updates are coming soon and they are working on releasing the sources as well soon(sounds like everything else we read but it's nice they are directly communicating with me).

Only thing missing, time frame. I don't even need an exact date. I just need something from HTC like "Middle of July" or even something from Sprint saying, "Expect it in July".

It's not HTC. There are many parties involved when an update is released on a Carrier phone as opposed to a unbranded phone.

I appears that this update being pushed to the phones if China Telecom or some other Operators. The rough order is Google releases an update. OEMs get it working on theier hardware and add there stuff to it. Then the OEMs send it to unbranded phones and/or the Operators for them to put their stuff in it and test per thier networks. Then the Carriers push an update.
My guess here is that the Chinese Operators did not care to do much testing or what they did was fine, where as I read HTC was not happy with some of the firmware in the 4.2.2 update and have slightly delayed pushing thier's out. That seems awfully scary if an Operator is rushing something out.

Seriously... These kind of things make me regret being on sprint. Already our GSM brothers on GayT&T & Fail-Mobile converted their devices to Developer editions & Unbranded devices. We're stuck with stupid CDMA policies

You just dissed every American carrier that carries the One.
Even the sprint and Verizon GS4s received GE edition ROM ports, which has me going crazy. I'm seriously considering ditching my ONE for the GS4. Not to mention the signal for LTE on this phone is seriously getting to me in places I had perfect LTE with my GS3
Nobody has patience.... Just live life and let the update surprise you. Too much demanding going on here.

No demanding. Just frustrated with HTC at this point. 4.2.2 was supposed to be out mid June. It is now July. I had confidence in the ONE but I'm losing it quickly and so are some other people. No projected date, statement, acknowledgment to customers. This is why I left the EVO LTE. I had a soft spot in my heart because of the original OG Evo but it is starting to leave.

There was never a time table. There were rumors that 4.2.2 was supposed to hit in June. And this was for unbranded EU handsets not the US ones....

Just been on chat with EE for the second time this week. They just confirmed that they will be carrying the nexus 5 from the 28th of this month. They also confirmed that it will be available on both LTE and standard 3G plans here in the UK, they will also be offering the phone on pay as you go contracts at a starting price of £230 for 16GB and £250 for 32GB. I know its not much info but it is confirmed which is nice. Should be able to get hands on with this phone very soon!

Usually I would agree but ive tried four reps now and three of the four all said the 28th, unfortunately no more comments on pricing.
Uk prices are completely false.

Pretty true actually The nexus 5 is by far the most leaked android smartphone, with leaks from official partners and Google! Google was the first to leak the nexus 5, in there introduction video of android 4.4, which has now been removed from youtube. Later, about 2 days, KitKat's official FaceBook page added a comment on a post confirming android 4.4. Then Qualcomm confirmed some hardware specs of the Nexus 5, followed by a video of the nexus 5 running android 4.4 (also removed). And just yesterday, Google accidentally post the nexus 5 on there site, which seems a little odd

What about the FCC certifications? Even if it was red herring, wouldn't we get see some other phone get approval? Do you think Google orchestrated the whole gub'ment shutdown so that they could sneak in a phone for approval and not have the FCC leak it since they were shutdown?

Deff this. £20 diff between the two models... and it is incredibly low compared to the U.S price.
We UK peeps always get dirtily ripped off in the conversion game. Those prices would not represent that. I suspect something is off.

Nah, but really confirmation for the Nexus 5 is still unofficial, it might not drop till next year, the only thing google really confirmed was android 4.4.

I agree they seem low, ive only quoted what ive been told. But the 28th is an official release date according to EE and now T-Mobiles support lines. Im just doing the rounds trying to see what info I can get out of them.

It looks great! Screen is so nice. Now for battery test which is what I really want to know! Touch sensitivity much improved. Something that was never fixed on the 9 properly

£4 customs fee which I was happy to pay but Wonda Mobile refunded it lol. AL00 software, am trying to rebrand now. Love the fact its 6gb ram

Thanks. I have ordered from Ali Express the 6gb version too. Still waiting for them to ship it as they want to install L29 ROM. It's been 4 days and they still haven't shipped it.
FYI how does one calculate what custom fees are expected to be paid from China to UK? What is the rate?

I have Mate 10 4GB /64GB. IMO camera quality is terrible. My old U11 can do better in all case . Please share your experience

Liking camera so far much more than my mate 9. Clearly better. Gotta investigate more. Battery life is better so far, 85% left with 2hours 20 minutes sot doing same old stuff I do.

Start seller did you use grin aliexpress? Such a minefield that place. Cons everywhere. Fake tracking numbers.
You'll pay 20% vat on the import of you're caught. Always a risk. I paid £4. Got lucky they didn't open package. No duty on phones I don't think

You sure you paid a legit seller? That l29 rom part seems so suspect. As far as i know china huaweis are easy to rebrand and the you can flash international rom easy yourself.

I just cancelled with the seller. Twice now with the same seller as process time takes too long. Have to wait for two refunds now. Will have to find someone else outside of Ali Express.

Yeah i would love that (samples..proof how bad is it) too since I am about to switch from iPhone 7+ which has awesome camera, but i want those 5,9” on 16:9 aspect ratio with no on screen buttons sooooo baaad :fingers-crossed:

i will do it on Monday . One more thing is the display , that bezel is very nice but color of the display worse than U11 too (tried RGB control but still cant make it better) , i recommend you guys wait for U11+

Ill def be getting one since i skipped the note 8, first note ive missed since i started buying notes on the 2.
I will absolutely not waste money on the Canadian version due to the locked BL.
I will go exynos just as I have done on the note 7, s8 plus and S9 plus..its the best way to go really these days. I might consider an asian or Latin America snapdragon this time possibly as they are also unlocked but just dont get much development.

I just finished watching the Unpacked event and came away impressed.
Dare I say Note 9 is the most complete Note to date. It feels like the second coming of the Note 7 (hopefully without the spontaneous combustion lol).
Definitely upgrading from the Note 8 to the 8GB/512GB variant. Probably pick up the DS international variant for the unlocked bootloader.
Pre orders are live with Bell so far. Waiting for BestBuy...

I thought maybe these forums would be blowing up after Unpacked. Seems like no one, not even Samsung cares that their e-store is broken after their Unpacked event. There are only 3 people on twitter that have commented the store being down. 3.
I felt like there would be many people like me with an OG Pixel eagerly awaiting the Pixel 3....but now disappointed the Pixel 3 has an ugly unibrow of a notch and only 4gb of ram. Long time Note 4 user and Note 7 refugee.

The BL is locked down on the CAN version, useless pretty much if you want root etc.

I ordered online from the Samsung store website and got a confirmation within 5 mins. Took a few tries since I realized something was wrong with the site so I waited about 2hrs and I was able to checkout.
I’m probably going sleep on this again. Last note I had was the 5. I be back when note 10 comes. Have fun with it, it’s a beast.

You wont get wifi calling or VOlte without root likely.
Samung pay wont work, google pay should work. If you root neither will likely work depending on how magisk plays nice or not.
If you root you trip knox (because you need twrp to root) and lose it and all its functionality. S health has also been broken by root in the past

It's only 1 week left until launch for the north American model, better to just buy that model (NE2215). April 14th release date.
The Chinese model doesn't fully support mobile network bands on T-Mobile according to "kimovil".

you may swape 9008 oxygenos american ver.

Cool. If everything works on the Chinese model on T-Mobile network, I don't see why it's relevant to wait for the global edition here in the US. Plus, the Chinese model is cheaper and more RAM choices.
I'm planning to root the Chinese model when I get my hands on it. Should I get the Chinese model now? I just need to confirm that everything works if I get the Chinese model since it's going to be my daily phone. Help me decide for the last time plz....

I have the Chinese model since January with T-Mobile, it's bad not having 100% use of your phone.. android auto does not work, notifications are a hit or miss, the messages was a pain in the @SS, if you send a message to someone that had an iPhone, it would ask a permission to send it.. I just switched it to the EU Oxygen OS and it's the best thing that happened to my phone.

I am reading that Chinese bloatware from the Chinese ColorOS remain after the EU flash. Can we also get confirmation on if any Bands change with the EU flash. I am stateside and on TMobile wanting the white color way Chinese version with 12 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of storage

Never worked isn't the same as doesn't support.
For some reason OnePlus devices seem to prefer n71 on T-Mobile but my 9 has connected a few times after I messed with airplane mode and crap. Just got it to connect again.

Doesn't work for me. Even tried apps to force the b41 to connect and nothing. Chinese model also doesn't support long range lte band. I've been getting text and emails for the past few months from t-mobile saying my 9rt will be a brick in july when they kill off some bands. i believe the 9rt and chinese 10 pro use the same bands.

I have heard nothing of a requirement for extended range LTE, only for VoLTE, that's big news if T-Mobile is planning to boot every phone that doesn't support extended range LTE, that's a HUGE chunk of phones on their network!
This page seems to have copied the stock spec list for the NE2210 and it is clear that n41 and B41 are both supported.

This is a SS from my NA 10 pro. 5g works, but TMO doesn't recognize the phone and I'm still getting the same emails I got with the 9rt saying the 10g won't work after july. If it works for you, then good for you, but that doesn't mean TMO supports b41 in all states
