Dual Speakers? - G2 Accessories

Has anyone seen any kind of tech, case, housing, or attachment that adds sound to both sides of the phone, similar to the HTC one? With such a gorgeous screen this phone is perfect for Netflix or movies but I hate having to Cup my hand around the bottom of the phone to improve the sound. Also not always in the mood for the complete isolation that earbuds enforce.
Thanks

Thanks for the idea, I didn't realise LG sold a docking station, it looks pretty cool but that doesn't really solve my problem. Nice idea tho!

your welcome, its a killer idea: a case with buildin boombox and speakers, never seen or heard of it yet
a niche market
Sent from my LG-D802

Yeah, or even just some sort of device that snaps onto the sides. And either redirects the sound of reproduces it. You're right tho, it's prolly a pretty small market. I just wish LG would have followed HTC in that respect. They seem to have put a lot of effort into the quality of the sound the phone is capable of handing but didn't care about how well it reproduces that sound.

Hey, Hey that looks pretty cool! You think our phones would fit?

It says it's compatible. The stock image has what I think is an iPhone 3 in it with room to spare.

But, I do not recommend using a bike mount unless you are really good at biking that you will never fall or you don't mind breaking your phone.

Sony Wireless NFC Bluetooth Speaker

Finally it's arrived this accessory also.

Did you get this already, I didn't think they were out? Man i want one of these bad.
For anyone interested. I've had this for over a week. I must say I am highly impressed with this thing. Smaller than I expected. Great sound and no distortion. I'm no audiophile by any means but this little thing rocks. I've had no issues with it connecting to other devices from Ipad, Kindle FireHD, or Ipod. Only thing is the Ipad wouldn't control the audio volume, had to use the hard keys on the speaker. Very happy with the purchase. With shipping it was $126 off of ebay. Shipping was 18.00 from Japan.
I got one of these for my wife and its great. Shipping from Japan took about a week. Its easy even for her, all she has to do is tap it with the NFC. The sound is loud and clear. This is the best accessory I have seen.

Thanks, price bit steeper than was expecting. Was hoping more around the 39.99 mark, but hey its Sony after all! Might have to carry on my hunt to add bluetooth to my iPod dock or get it once xmas is out the way. Just out of interest can you plug it over aux to a larger hifi system?

It works just like plugging in a standard Micro usb cable into your phone. Option-wise that is.

The op posted about the smart dock. The thread is called smart dock. He said he got 35% off, and still hasn't told anyone how. People keep posting about chargers for some reason? Easy there tiger.
A) This thread is a month old now
B) Have you ever seen a thread stay on topic?
C) >1% of the users of this phone really care about hdmi out. Just no real purpose other than the "oh that's cool factor"
The post I made gives it more than just a "charger" feature set. Which more than likely can be done with the holier-than-thou Smart Dock as well but you'd have to give up the audio port for it to work.

DIY official dock car mount

I really liked the fact the dock could do audio out and charge via the pogo pins, so I figured that would be perfect in the car. When I got the dock, I couldn't find a good spot to mount it....until now. The completed setup works awesomely!
All you need for this project is a metal bookend and some JB weld.
Bookend
Dock attached with JB Weld
Piece removed from the cover bezel
Wires fed to where the back of the dock will be
All I did here was wedge the bookend between the radio and dash kit, and then attached the cables for power/audio
BACK TO THE PRIMITIVE!!!!

Nice ... as long as you do not drive ..
Works fine when driving. The pins actually make better contact if the tablet is pushed slightly forward, so I bent the vertical part of the bookend to keep it slightly forward. Plus the rubber on the rear of the nexus making contact with it seems to create enough friction to keep it from popping up.
WARNING: Turn down your volume.
Good to know this works. I was planning on doing something a bit similar, but slowly building it up to be cleaner in the end. The dock will be an integral part, though.
Do you have any trouble keeping the tablet charged? I know people have no problems if they use one of the recommended chargers from the charger thread, but I wasn't sure if the dock may hinder or slow down charging any.
Awesome! Thanks man

Well I have it set to keep the screen awake while charging, so it does still drain the battery. It really isn't bad though. Barely goes down. The speed of the charging seems equivalent to charging via usb connection, rather than the wall charger.

Sorry for not responding for so long. I did have a bit at first when going over bumps, but over time it stopped. I think it's because the pins springy-ness calmed down over time. Also, the bookend helps keep the tablet from moving, because the rubber backing of the tablet makes contact with it and keeps it from too much. So over time, this setup has ended up working perfectly.
I have the same setup. Do you constantly have to enable media output to dock? When I start mine up each time I have to go into the sound settings and fix this.

They're headphones. They will plug in. The only thing that would cause them to not work would be a case that obstructs the fitment of the jack to the port. I've plugged in many different head phones from cheap $2 sets to PowerBeats by Dre as well as Studio by Dre.

1) I moved this thread to the Q&A forum.
2) I've used the AT-M50s on every phone I've had and they work fine except the TPU case on some pushes out the headphone jack sometimes. So I take a razor and make the headphones hole a bit bigger on my case. Other than that you should have no issues.
These are still my favorite headphones, way better than any of the Beats and even the Bose in this price range. If they were a big smaller I would wear them at the gym, but for at home listening these headphones rule the world.

They sound really good out of the box.
The burn in time isn't incredibly long, I put some decent hours on mine and they just get better and better, but out of the box I found the sound quality to still be superior to any other cans in that class.
