Sure is.. delete files from /system/app.
Make sure to back up !

You'd better use "Wondershare MobileGo" and also USB Driver

By this program, you can find more functions to do with the GEAR.

Your GEAR has been ROOTED?
I don't have any idea on ROOTING and the result of rooting affecting the MobileGO, but I can use my GEAR with this program.
You need to install Samsung USB Driver.
Disconnect Bluetooth (if connected with the device)
Connect the GEAR with PC/Notebook via USB cable
Now, it connects, then you can see all the installed apps (video, photos, etc.) on the MobileGo.
** Remarks : if GEAR is connected with the device via bluetooth when connecting to PC/Notebook, you cannot see any installed apps (but still you can install app to GEAR).

In that case its not possible. Your gear MUST BE ROOTED in order to modify the system partition.

EDIT: I believe I have isolated the needed APK, it seems "GearManagerStub.apk" is needed ! Seems quite obvious when I think about it.. LOL.
Although when your dealing with 300+ apk's its easy to miss I assure you.

Very interesting, seems like Samsung have implemented more checks !
Im running a debloated i9505 rooted rom.. I want to try isolate what exactly the new gear manager requires.
Could you please post a screenshot/type the information you see on your about screen, you can get there by going into "Settings -> More -> About device".
What I'm interested in is the "Build number" line.
If you could also be kind enough to go into "Settings -> More -> Application manager", find "Gear Manager" in the "Downloaded" section, open it up and post the version number located at the very top of that screen.
I do appreciate you taking the time helping me out here.
EDIT: I got impatient and decided to download a bloat filled rom, gear manager successfully installed.. Samsung now are checking for certain APK's to exist in order for gear manager to install/operate.
Im going to attempt to isolate which APK's exactly and make a CWM.
EDIT 2: I believe I have isolated the needed APK, it seems "GearManagerStub.apk" is needed ! Seems quite obvious when I think about it.. LOL.

I had seen this in my system/apps and assumed that it was installed by gear manager. Looking a the make up of gearmanager apk and files in rom, it doesn't come with the apk, but does with the rom

fairly certain that you either wait for an updated ROM or flash a stock. i cant remember the last time any my android devices were upgraded via standard OTA type methods.

Sounds good. My Gear is running the Null18 rom and I know that Null19 is available, so it sounds like I just need to flash that over mines correct? By the way, thanks so much for your quick response...much appreciated!

actually null_20 is out now and very nice. if you just install it over your current setup there is a chance you could have issues. if you really want the best experience you should wipe everything then install. i always factory reset in TWRP then wipe cache and dalvik and then full reset again and then install new ROM but thats just me

2 Questions...when wiping everything did you loose all apps (including launchers like Nova or Apex)? Secondly, just curious if you are familiar with Kingo Root which I am trying to use on my Note 3? I happen to be updating both the phone and watch manually (since they were both rooted) and during my Note 3 updates I lost root. Now Kingo will not recognize the Note 3 at all, although the computer does so the drivers are still working. Any ideas?
Thanks.
P.S. - Nevermind. Also, just so you all know...Null_20 has a bug in Google Now that causes crashes sometimes as you boot up the Gear. The Null_21 rom has it now fixed.

Unwanted Pop-up ads on my Z1

Hi there
I am hoping someone can assist and perhaps have had the same experience I am currently facing on my Z1 phone. Every now and again I am faced with these pop-up ads and I am not sure where it comes from. I have tried Ad searching tools in the market but it doesn't find anything.
Perhaps it gets pushed over the air, but I would like to find out what is doing it...i want it disabled.
Here are some screenshots:

Coming to think of it, perhaps it is BBM for Android?
Have u got Blackmarket installed?

Install Airpush Detector, run it and it will tell you which one of the free apps on your phone is sending you push notifications. Then delete that app.
Airpush didn't detect anything. It happened again and when I look at the running tasks, it says it is 'Android'. I don't have black market installed either.
I had the same popup in the beginning only it was from whattsapp.
Tryin to remember when i got them....

It will if you are on 534.
Anyway, there's an app installed on your phone that names itself as android and it's a fake app.
Try searching in the apps list for anything you suspect that might be it.

No root needed. When u get another of those popups, just pull down the notification bar and keep pressing on that BBM ad message. You should then click on "app info" and from there uninstall it.Proven to work for many!

If you want to do this yourselves.
1st Download and install xposed framework installer to your phone (root needed)
Get it here
Check framework is the latest in framework
.Then in download section of xposed framework search for resflux and install
Or get it here
Then in modules section of xposed enable resflux and reboot
Open reflux and select laboratory
Then click the app you want nodded
Then simply use the up to select and change texts. Colours back rounds etc.
Then to apply . Press back and reboot
Use only png images for back rounds
IL give a more detailed guide when I get to my pc.
Has anyone tried this yet? I just tried and i changed colors of alot of things in gear manager on phone and rebooged has in still phone this same. When i went back into theming app the colors where still changed to what i changed them to but in gear manager they didnt change.I have it checked in exposed so that isnt the problem.Do you need to clear cache of gear manager or whatever app your trying to theme? It seems like a good app if it works rite.
So i just looked on the developers page and it was confirmed working on a few devices and alot of stock roms.I have galaxy s4 with hyperdrive rom so maybe it doesnt work on my phone.

When you plug in the phone to the computer, there's probably an unknown device in Device Manager. Right click on it and choose update drivers, then select the folder you unzipped the drivers to and let Windows install it.
OK did that. It won't let me install the xz1 driver that I downloaded. Keeps telling me current driver (mtp USB) is the most current and up to date driver. Try to work around it but it keeps preventing me from installing the new driver. And if I delete the driver and unplug replug in phone it automatically installs that previous driver.
Well, I'm out of ideas, sorry I couldn't be of help.

You can also use the app "WiFi Automatic" from j4velin: works wery well. Actually i'm using this app to auto disable wifi if not connect for more than 5 minuts, leaving the auto reenable to android 8 built-in option, but you can define on or more zone (by GSM cell) for auto re-enable
