Answer calls with pebble - Pebble

Is there any free non-root way to answer calls on pebble

Wait, what? Can you not answer calls natively?

If you have a bt-headset you can accept calls through your headset. If you don't have something like that, you you'll have to find your phone for its microphone and speaker. So it doesn't make sense to have that feature natively. You can silence any incoming call natively. Under normal circumstances that is all you need

Well I have two BT's one LG-Tune+ which has buttons but I also have a cheap moto that I use occasionally that doesn't have any controls so being able to push a button on the pebble would be a lot easier than pulling a phone out. So I'm going to have to disagree with you on that.

They should add an app that treats pebble like a bt headset

So you have the special case of headset without controls. Pebble aims to have a firmware with only the essentials. If you want or need more, you can use third party apps. In your case an app like Pebble dialer.
It is something you can agree with our disagree, but it is the way Pebble chose to do it

I remember I answered a call when i had my earphones on (they have a microphone) so i guess it detects if you are having something like that on or not and then displays answer accordingly.

Smart Wireless Headset and Smartwatch

Just ordered these two items. Smartwatch also comes with 14 day home trial which convinced me to purchase it. The headset just looks absolutely beautiful plus its got a micro sd slot, and since my second pair of HBH-IS800 sony headphone broke they look like the perfect SE replacement. If anyone has purchased any of these I would appreciate some feedback. Have ordered 1-2 day shipping so will feedback once I have recieved them.

omtp port???
it's a bluetooth headset
MW600
I am using the MW600, its work perfect with the Play.
Just wanted to give my thoughts on these two devices. the headset first of all is great although not too many applications for the moment. I do like the fact that it reads my text messages and twitter updated but unfortunately music information is not displayed when not using in built music app. expandable memory is a brilliant idea as well making it a stand a lone mp3 player as well. Shame there is no lock button for the buttons and the central button is poorly placed as I often press it when changing tracks. Amazing battery life. 3rd day and still on first charge.
Will comment on the watch shortly...

I have a smartwatch. Purchased one month ago. The accessory is nice, the touchscreen works great, but in very brightness ambient miss clarity, has some good applications at Google play like:
Wheather widget, stopwatch, Facebook, Twitter, call handling, phonebook, music player widget, and plus...
But, one thing let me frustrated, the watch is so small for me. I think it should be bigger to fit perfectly in my pulse.

So what is the difference in the smartwatches capabilities and liveviews, aside from any technical issues? Is the smartwatch just liveliest fixed, or a watch first and foremost? Trying to separate the two apart.

The smartwatch is just a updated version of the liveview. It looks better and one very important thing is that the Sony Smartwatch does not lose connection as the liveview does.
You can use the Sony Smartwatch as a wristwatch as well. There's a feature in there which allows you to keep the display on and choose from different style clocks.
I'm getting mine tomorrow and I can't wait to use it ! :good:
Thanks. I was wondering, does my PLAY support multiple BT devices simultaneously like a headset and a liveview or ftp? I dont have any BT accesories on me right now.

Yes it does. My Smartwatch arrived now, I'm using it with a MW600 headset with no problems at all.
bought mine today. the manual told me to charge it for approximately 2 hours. i think it's been 3 hours already and i still get it to turn on. display just shows full battery. sometimes it loses connection to the pc while charging and just vibrates with sony logo displaying. is this normal? do i just have to wait for it to turn on? how do i know if i can already turn it on?
thanks
Just leave the charger in. You should see a battery indicator.

Controlling Beats setting

Not sure if this is possible but if it is, I don't exactly know how to go about it. I'd like for beats to turn on only when I'm playing sound through the speakers. Not through headphones or through bluetooth. Only speaker. Whether in a phone call or YouTube. I imagine this could maybe be done through Tasker but I don't know how to go about it. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm pretty sure this is not possible. At least not with the stock rom.
Mmm I figured this would be a tough one. If anyone has any ideas, don't hesitate to share

If you download pimpmyrom from the playstore you can install a beats equalizer. It's very similar to dsp manager.

Other HTC roms in the past have had a toggle in the statusbar. Although I found out recently that sound out of the speakers was actually lower with beats on. It did sound deeper but not as loud and it's a pretty noticeable difference. On the other hand it makes headphones louder as you'd expect. I did install the Wildman kernel do I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I didn't turn beats off until after I flashed the kernel.
its possible with Tasker.

Have you done it or know how? I've been trying but am not familiar enough with tasker to figure how to set this up.

How do I stop the beep when my XZ is put on charge?

For some reason my XZ has started making a beep indicator whenever it is put in or taken out of the charging dock.
I cannot see anything in settings to stop it so if anyone knows please tell me as it is driving me nuts!
Thanks

Disable sound, place phone in charge dock, enable sound again!
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
or if your rooted, just delete dock.ogg & undock.ogg from system/media/audio/ui.
I want the beep!! How do I get it?
if i remember correctly, disabling Sony SmartConnect for the Dock should do the trick.
Unfortunately none if those worked but thanks anyway

iPhone headphones problem?

Has anyone tried using iPhone Headphone with they're Z1? I really like the design and comfort of these Headphones however when using with my Z1 I experience random pausing a skipping of songs. It may be the remote of the headphones messing with the phone but I'm really not sure. I'd use the ones you get with the phone but they're really uncomfortable

If the issue do not appear with the stock headphones that mean the iPhone headphones are not compatible with Z1.

The iphone's headphones (the new ones for iphone 5 and newer) are partially compatible with my xperia Z1. I tested my wife's and what works:
-Play/Pause/Next song/Previous song/Long press for vocal command.
What doesn't work:
-Volume control.
There are no other problems such as what you stated. Probably faulty headphones or fake?
Try to connect them while pressing the volume down button, start a song then release the Vol down and see if any changes. Or maybe try them with an iphone to see if it gives the same problems (random stops,...).

Whatever Man, if he do not test the headphones on different device he can't know where is the problem. If the issue still there even whit different device the headphones are faulty. BTW, still are not compatible anyway, some functions don't working, so they are not fully compatible.
Use the Sony smart connect app. You can make it so the buttons on the headset do what you like.
The headphones are genuine (came with iPhone 5) and 100% work with other devices. Randomly when the headphones are plugged in to my phone the phone will just go crazy and start changing the volume and skipping songs etc.

Then they are not compatible with the Z1, if the stock headphones do not have same issues then something is wrong, right?
Annoying, the stock headphones work fine, they are just to uncomfortable
