[Q] Proximity sensor disabling

Hello good people!
I have problem with proximity sensor, i think it's broken or i forgot about some fixes added to ROM*. Well when i'm receiving a call, the screen goes black and after the conversation won't turn on. All i can do to wake up phone is restart or connect it to charger.
Also Proximity Sensor Finder shows me, that sensor is always "covered".
So my question: is there a possibility to disable sensor by for ex. turning off a driver? How could i do that?
Proximity sensor in X8 is called "apds9700", but i can't find it in application "Hardware Disabler". Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
* Kernel: X8_09c-Cm7_Alfs&Djnilse, ROM: GingerDX-v030-shakira, FIX: LibSensors_patch_for_MiniCM-7
Respects!
Navigate to system/etc/hw_config.sh via a root explorer, remove this line and report resultsnandroid backup might be necessary )
# Proximity sensor configuration
dev=/sys/devices/platform/proximity-sensor/semc/proximity-sensor
echo 15 > $dev/led_on_ms # sensor LED on time in ms
echo 35 > $dev/led_off_ms # sensor LED off time in ms
Then restart

How to disable Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope

I replaced the screen Z1, now when I want to open the webcam phone restarts.
I came to this that it is the fault of those sensors, is there a way to turn them off?
can by editing the registry or something?
what files are responsible for the integration of these sensors?
I think the first your step should be to Calibrate all of them and see if the issue persist. Type on Phone keyboard *#*#7378423#*#* and there go to Calibrate the Sensors. A faulty sensor it's a faulty phone so I will consider to replace the device via warranty too if you do not solve this in other ways.

[SOLVED, solution in 1st post] fp sensor works even without setting any fingerprint

so, i recently bought this beautifull giant and was surprised, but not positively, when i saw that i can unlock my phone with fingerprint sensor although i didn't assign any of the fingers for unlocking.
i'm thinking it's definitely software bug. got an update as soon as i turned it on, maybe it's because od that? i'll try installing developer rom, maybe it goes away
edit:
ok, i found a way to stop device from waking when touching sensor without having any fingerprint scaned and saved.
you need to have root. go to system/usr/layout and comment out (put the "#" on the beginning of the line) all keys in uinput-fpc.kl and uinput-goodix.kl. i'm not sure if it's needed to comment out on both files but i did, just to be safe
Actually this doesn't sound too bad, you could unlock your phone via fingerprint or just go into lockscreen for music controls, flashlight etc. via powerbutton. The question is whether you set a password for your device or not. If yes then it is a big problem. But even if not I could imagine that you would unlock your phone accidently by touching fp button which would be annoying.

i didn't set password and yes, it's annoying af. i read a bit about this and it seems it's a feature of xiaomi phones with fingerprint sensor -.-
it can be resolved with root, but i need to wait about 60 hours to unlock bootloader and get over with this

Did you manage to fix that? I tried replacing "key 353 DPAD_CENTER" line with "key 353 MENU", and it didn't work (/system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl). But this (en.miui - thread-567538-2-1.html) guide was for redmi note 4, maybe we have a different key number?

iris recognition LED not turning on.

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Note 8, however when I try to go set the IRIS security option I do not get a red iris recognition LED to the left of the ear piece like the little graphic on screen shows. As a result I keep getting a 'Your irises weren't recognized.' error.
Is there any way to confirm if this is a hardware defect? I have tried restarting and factory resetting my phone but no luck.
Even going to the service menu via *#0*# and running the IRIS service test will not trigger the red recognition LED.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Sounds broken. Call Samsung for a warranty replacement.
Iris recognition is a joke, just forget about it and use a password. Sammy iris and fingerprint is nothing short of being easily hackable.

Touchscreen stopped responding

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my Galaxy S10+. I changed the screen and now the touchscreen does not respond anymore. I tried with the old screen and it does not work either.
What makes me think it's not the connector is the fact that the display works, the buttons too, and the vibrator as well : it means that the connector should be working. Also, I launched a fingerprint test with *#0*# and test passes, the values change if I put my finger on the sensor or not.
I tried to wipe cache and do a factory reset. I tried to launch the * # 2663 # touchscreen firmware update but I get a grey screen and it closes.
Any idea to help me?
Thanks a lot.
