It is hardware problem. Go to service.
P.S. you can try to go to Download mode with adb shell command. Look on XDA about it.

I think only solution is to take it to service and get it fixed. Or push Volume up button all the time - maybe it will work.

With ADB or shell commands you don't need to press volume up to continue. But is annoying to have the button broken

I never tried it. You can see how to backup/restore it with adb commands. But if you miss something in typing it you can brick phone.

I think Frapeti posted it on CM 10.1 or 10.2 thread. But I will suggest you not to mess with that EFS pro backup, maybe it is made for other partition (not sure if it backed up right partition, I will not tell you to do something that could brick your phone...).
So I suggest you to backup with commands, and then restore after.

You can still enter in download mode with adb shell (or terminal on phone) command? If I enter in download mode with this method Odin doesn't recognize my phone. If you can see the "Warning" message when you press volume down+home+power your device can be repaired.
I remember that a long time ago a friend gave me his Galaxy S2 with volume keys broken that remained locked on Samsung Galaxy S2 boot screen, so no way to enter download mode. He said that a friend tried to modify the phone with no success. He went to the service center before give it to me and they told him that motherboard was to change, so I started looking on internet and I found to enter in download mode without volume key and working phone: USB JIG. I built it and was working, the phone booted itself in download mode without pressing any key and I've reflashed it, later I've repaired volume buttons, still my friend uses S2. Last week I've built another one for testing purposes with Galaxy S Advance, works. Phone boots in download mode itself (with "Factory Mode" writing instead of "Odin Mode"), Odin recognizes it and can be flashed normally. You can build one USB JIG with a micro usb type B male connector and 301KOMH resistance (I've used 150K+150K+1K) between pins 4 and 5, if you can't ask someone to do it for you or buy one already prepared on eBay (check 301KOMH resistance).

[Q] Bricked?

Hello,
I installed Rom manager and flashed CWM 5.0.2.0 (I guess) from it. When I choose backup option from the app it does the backup but I really don't think saves it anywhere so I tried doing it manually by going into recovery manually. When I did this the LG logo appeared and then nothing happened just a black screen with the leds on.
Plz guide me as to what I should do now.
P.S. - I have a nandroid backup but it is a bit old. Its from the old CWM I installed manually.
Thanks
Anyone? I really need help!
Remove battery?
No I am not that dumb
I did that many times even tried to charge it and connected it to the computer but in vain.

Just use terminal emulator.

And your phone will automatically reboot and go to download mode!

Bootloader is different than Download mode. It is of no use in our phone. Some phones have some bootloader menu while the Ace does not have one. So when you choose bootloader, the phone will just do a reboot!

Cannot boot into download or recovery...what to do?

Hi all
I am using stock Uk firmware ending LSO 4.1.2
The Home button is unresponsive sometimes and i have to press it a few times to get it to work.I read about the voice/talk double click problem so unticked that then disabled the app.
I think i bricked the phone a few weeks ago as it stuck on the flashing samsung screen at boot.I returned it to phones4u for repair and although it works a little better i think there may be a few conflicts so want to enter recovery then totally wipe everything and start again.
The problem is that i cannot enter recovery or download! Before it was sent for repair i was only able to enter download so tried some other stock roms 4.04 etc through odin but nothing changed.
Is there a way for me to enter recovery mode without up/home/power ?
I really hope someone can help as my note is near to useless just now with lag and major battery drain.

That worked great thank you.
Still cannot get in through up/home/power despite a total clean.
Any idea why that is? (although happy enough going down the adb route for now)
cheers

if you did clean everything, you can try to flash JB and see if that makes any difference. If still doesnt it could be hardware fault.
Edit: even if it does not work on JB you can use 4 way reboot option and you can choose to boot into recovery or download mode.

Can't access ODIN mode

Hello guys. I just got a note 9 recently from abroad, and wanting to change its CSC via rooting, I tried to access ODIN mode. However when I press the bixby, volume down and power, it doesn't go there. Im pretty sure that those buttons are working. I wanted to flash custom recovery, but how do I do that when the bootloader isnt loading in the first place? Any ways on how to restore everything back to stock first so I can go back to ODIN? Please help.

Just tried what you advised. Nope, the phone goes into a normal reboot instead. Perhaps the bootloader is corrupted? Cause the knox is 0x0 and samsung pass is still working.
