Now, that would surely be good news!

End of tegra characteristic UI lag as we know it? I hope so
I wonder what's taking google too long to roll out 4.4

was using a galaxy tab 2 10.1 and found it silly slow compared to the nexus 7, tegra 3 is considerably faster. and with the new update hopefully it will become even more efficient.

Any news yet about google implementing this new 3.4.35 kernel in the 4.4 update?

any possibilty google itself will release 4.4 kitkat for our nexus 7 with 3.4 kernel updated?

Hope 4.4 will come with the new 3.4 kernel

Hmm, from the size of picture, it seems taken from 2013 nexus7, not the 2012 ...

I notice a change. The build number is different. The N5 is KRT16M. This one is KRT16O.
I hope that means there is a fix coming soon the N5 As well.

From what i have seen from different sources, the gt8.9 and gt10.1 will get official ICS sometime in May. I personally dont care, as we already have ICS that is vanilla and works better then stock HC, I'm not planning to use that touchwiz loaded version anyway. I'm hoping that the Tab 2 will have a Tegra 2 SoC and will be released in March, so we can get the camera working (not that I'm using it).

MIUI is available for the nexus 7

Woke up today to find that Miui is out for the nexus 7 at http://www.miui.com/development.html just click on the orange button under where it says nexus 7 to download it.
Note:That this rom is in chinese and isnt exactly made for nexus 7

And its in Chinese..

I'm a Chinese. This version is really bad, just like an enlargement of the mobile phone.Don't try it.
Sounds like they took he Galaxy Nexus version and ported it over, what a shame they couldn't just rebuild it with the proper size.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I downloaded it and it's in English. Very poor however. Would not recommend. It's the phone version ported over and NO Google Now.
I hope they make one specifically for the Nexus 7. I love MIUI and would really like a good running version on my N7.
Yeah this is pretty bad.

That's debatable.
But in any case, the Nexus 7 is not exactly a "full tablet". It's more of a "phablet". Even Google didn't implement a full tablet UI.

Nexus 7 4.2.2 JDQ39 update rolling out in USA?

Just because an update might be rolling out for one particular device it doesn't necessarily mean all the Nexus hardware will be getting said update, so keep that in mind.
I haven't seen any mention of 4.2.2 recently, guess it'll happen soon enough (unless some people are trolling Reddit which is pretty common these days as the site gets more popular every minute).

I think that was their "pre-canned" response they gave a few weeks ago. I'll believe it when the factory images are updated here:

It would help a lot more if they'd stop lying.
