i saw your comment that you dont use grand anymore ...why??? is it your secondary device??

People don't know much about Resurrection Remix ROM. But look at this original thread for S2. More than 2000 likes. It is one of the MOST CUSTOMIZABLE ROM with so many features built into it.

I am on Note 2 now. But there are 2 Galaxy Grand at my home. There is already a lot of development for Note 2, so I am not required there.
Developing for Grand is one of my ways to learn more about Android.
Carbon ROM 4.2.2 seems to be abandoned by the Carbon Team. Syncing gives "repo doesn't exist errors" for a few repos. I think i can use replacement repos and fix those errors, but it will be too time consuming. I'll compile Carbon 4.3 as soon as CM10.2 releases (which might be sooner that you think!)

Another Sexy Rom!
I Hope you will fix all the Bugs.
Cheers!

Yippeeeeeeeeeeee!!! feeling blessed :angel::angel::angel:

@xenon92 Waiting for the bugs to be fixed i again with all respect thank you and love you for all of the awesome work by you,,now im damn sure grand will get heck lotta development thanks a ton again bro untill the bugs are fixed im enjoying the best rom(my opinion no offense) SLIMBEAN:thumbup:
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2

Again awesome work!!
@xenon92 i suggest you to build 4.3 version of it as soon as any ROM has been stabilized like slimbean!
Because if you see we have all 4.2.2 builds...if we get a proper device tree for 4.3 we can upgrade ourselves! Just a suggestion
Good going

Great ROM very stable, very fast and very smooth..battery life seems great also..
Only thing not working is video recording and once that is fixed this will be THE best ROM..
Thank you xenon..

Got a force close on Clock when I started the phone for the first time. Flashed Gapps, issue seemed to be fixed.
Got another force close of Google's Setup Wizard at the end of setup.
Settings force closed the first time I tried to uninstall an application.
Tried recreating the Settings force close for logcat but it seems to be working fine now
PS: I wiped cache/data/dalvik as well as formated the internal sd before flashing.
A lot of customizing options, everything seems to be working great and smooth (except from the initial force closes). All over great ROM

it is not only device tree which will solve the problem...i think more code changes require to make 4.3 bootable on our device...
because from last 2-3 weeks i am trying to make it boot but it stays on boot logo

New build uploaded.
Nov-16-13
Fixed everything. Check changelog.
Resurrection Remix is indeed one of the most customizable ROMs out there.
In build Nov-15-13, I faced FCs on cLock too initially, but they went away. I didn't find them in Nov-16-13 (I did flash Gapps right after flashing ROM).
As far as 4.3 and CM10.2 is concerned, we might get some good news soon. Patience.

nice...gonna try this rom...:good:

Bro ur really fast in fixing bugs

It might be possible that the zip has been corrupted by androidfilehost.com. If you observe, for the past 2 days the website isn't working properly, observe the "Download Counters". They are set to "0" even after downloads.
I'll mirror the link to some other site.
----
Deleted the corrupt zip from androidfilehost. Uploading to mega now. I'll upload to androidfilehost, again.

stock apps
I'd really love to try this rom. Only worry i've is some of the stock apps that i use wont work here. The apps and functions i use are S-note because of its handwrite recognition, Samsung video player which can be docked as i watch lot of video lectures and take notes, samsung keyboard with handwrite recognition and split keyboard, quick launch bar that comes at the bottom (this is good to have if not must).
Is there any way to add those functions on top of this ROM? I can try out myself to create patch for these if someone has idea how to rip out those apps to create either installer or CWM flash-able path.

Damn this is smooth. nice work OP!!
I have tried many of rom control settings and they all seem to work, infact i havent found anything that dont work( except normal CM stuff ). Gonna test some more and report if i find any issues. By the way, at boot the rom goes from Note 10.1 splash screen to rom bootanimation but then after short while it goes back to splash screen. Even sometimes i have to hold power button to hard reboot to stop the boot process because its stuck, but it boots everytime on second boot. Anyone else? I installed on a fully wiped system and it happend at first boot and i even rebooted before starting to setup or installing any apps to see if it was a first boot thing, but it was still there. Had to hold power button to initiate reboot and then it boots. Thank you for your hard work and welcome to Note 10.1 forums

Hi to all of you Tsubasa owners.
I come here to present you this nice rom, "Dirty Unicorns" wich is based on Omni Rom and on Android 4.4.3
This is absolutely not my work, i just compiled it from DU sources and from @walter79 and omni's repos/device trees.
So i suggest u to pass by their original threads/profiles for thanking them and g+ to give them a coffee or more!
Will try to give u guys weekly builds!
Original thread herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-v7-11-04-14-t2633855http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-v7-11-04-14-t2633855
Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| OmniROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

6.0 - android_kernel_sony_msm8960
- Copy the ROM and Gapps zips to your device
- Make sure you have TWRP or CWM Selinux compatible recovery
- Wipe everything but your external/internal storage
- Flash the Rom followed by the Gapps and reboot
- All subsequent flashes are easy: just flash the Rom zip and reboot, no wipes or Gapps needed
ART doesn't work.
CPU frequency and governor/scheduler adjustments in Settings/Performance need to be reset after each reboot.
If you lose signal bars after tapping on Settings/Dirty tweaks/Status bar color, pull down Quick Settings, toggle Airplane mode on/off and the bars will be back (the signal is OK all the time, it's just the icon)
Other than that, nothing that I've seen, but feel free to post what you find

These will most likely work with all AOSP roms, including this one.

I can say this is the most customizable ROM I've seen for our XV,
Speed and response is perfect.
No hangs,crashes,or reboots :good:
Everything like music, camera, hotspot and Dirty Tweaks work without any error.

Wow, this rom looks awesome.
Is it also based on default Omni Kernel or Walters hotplug kernel. My doubt is as always, battery consumption.
What percentage per hour is it consuming?
Thanks for this great work. Will flash later and see how it goes.
Great, now that carbon is stable, you give us another good rom. Now i cant decide which one to use
Thanks

Hi to all of you Mint owners.
I come here to present you this nice rom, "Dirty Unicorns" wich is based on Omni Rom and on Android 4.4.4
This is absolutely not my work, i just compiled it from DU sources, and from @walter79 and omni's; repos/device trees.
So i suggest u to pass by their original threads/profiles for thanking them and g+ to give them a coffee or more!
Will try to give u guys weekly builds!
Original thread here
Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM.

Yeah I know bugs and dirty flashing generally go hand in hand ..... Not sure if it is to do with dirty flashing but more than likely but is only bug I have found and can't officially call it a bug due to the circumstances
So im waiting for some feedbacks from someone on a clean install, i will try to provide Hayabusa DU also...
Okay so. I flashed it yesterday with PA gapps and so far so good. No bugs, dirty tweaks are working well. Only "Ok Google " hotword in GEL doesn't work for me
Sent from my Xperia T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i'm on a clean install. everythings seems to be working great, but seeing how insanely many options are available, i would really like to see 'kill app back button' and 'disable overflow (in-app menu) button'. maybe a bash shell would be nice like on cm.
EDIT: okay, after about 6 hours of use, there are some bugs, but i don't expect you to fix them since they are afaik present on omnirom too:
- sound quality (especially from the speaker) is a$$ compared to stock
- dpsmanager (still, since around cm10) only works when it feels like it (remedy: install viper4android and disable dsp)
- wi-fi refuses to turn on sometimes, especially after using the gps
EDIT2: the real issue for me is that reverse bluetooth tethering (i.e. use my laptop as a bluetooth access point) is not working (like on omni), which is crucual to me, so i'll have to go back to stock. : (
one last thing and i'll shut up, i promise: there are no settings for 'performance' (mentioned in the first post) neither under normal settings nor in dirty tweaks. unless i'm blind of course. : )
Hum ok if these bugs are from omni...then better to wait for walter79 to fix this in omni cuz im not really able to fix it yet...
performance settings are there as dev options...tap few times build number to make it appear

that's usually the first thing i do, but can't find performance settings for the life of me.. anyway, i have to go back to stock because the t is my daily driver. will try your next build, though. : )
Is there a way to change the lockscreen theme? I mean the circles under the handle. Thanks
Sadly I have to report some bugs/things that aren't going well:
- music stuttering -> with Apollo/Play Music + Viper4Android (Super Audio Quality) mainly with ondemand governor, doesn't happen so often with interactive but it still happens (this doesn't happen on CM based ROMs such as PAC-Man or Carbon)
- "OK Google" hotword detection doesn't work for me in any launcher (GEL, Nova) even with module for Xposed
- I have checked the option for Chamber of secrets but can't find it anywhere (maybe because I don't know how to speak with snakes)
Despite all these bugs I must say, I am really happy with this ROM as it has most of the features that are important for me (lockscreen notifications, theme engine, working locations, dirty tweaks etc.). Looking forward for newer builds.
we'll see next builds...its still the first one
thanks for report.
is there any way to get the google now working on homescreen??? like..swipe to the right and google now will come up like it does on AOSP devices??? :-/

Yeah that doesnt work my friend :/

fresh install not dirty ....
i use PAgapps and speaking ok google on home screen works for me audio does stutter sometimes not too badly but then other times it is really bad (caused my phone to freeze) i havent tried any audio mods .... apart from that i cannot really report anything except that FC's in settings appear to have gone now on a clean install so as far as i am concerned its just really the audio bug to fix
means good news...at least not so bad to my ears

cheers,
Hey nice seeing new rom appearing! Can't wait to get back home and try this ...
EDIT: First impression is very awesome! Very Smooth.. Multirom booting works like a charm too.
The camera provided with the rom is kinda buggy (crazy refocusing when half press of the shutter button)
Please upload the screenshots.
This one was one of my favorites when i had the GS5 and the G3. Love it, downloading already.
By the way, this works great with MultiROM!
Its awesome and smooth
Happy to test this
Two questions.. Pin code entry numbers are strange because of security?
And it seems min clock is limited on 1457mhz. Is this a m5kernel v4 bug or ROM related?
i'm on stock based Moonwalker 4.4.4 as main rom with Multirom.

Just change the min clock speed. I was able to do so. Same kernel
EDIT: Some small bugs to report
1.
The quick setting screen doesn't change colour no matter what theme I set. Not sure is it due to a modified framework of the rom.
2. Unable to change the "user picture" that appears on the top right of the status bar.

I remember that on that build, you had to factory reset for the themes(*the quick settings panel to be coloured) to work (factory reset once to get it working).
Maybe it's the same case here?

Thanks! Hope to see more! Excited
EDIT: Ambient display not working properly on lift. The screen just turn dark(turns on but the screen is black).
Anyway I found this appearing very frequently in logcat(not related to the ambient display I think):
http://hastebin.com/ikujedeyuf.pas
Not sure what is it though.
I havent got much experience but I figured hey what the heck i'll give it a go!
I've only tried existenz by niaboc(?) earlier so I don't have much to compare with. The ROM seems solid so far (been running a few hours), unlocking bootloader, installing the rom, gapps and kernel (m5) went smooth.
Thanks alot for this, anxiously awaiting more updates.

Build works like a charm but I wouldn't mind Doze..
@up : you only need to change the SE policy to permissive in order for viper to work
Edit: @OPhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=225651 : don't forget to mention the quickboot bug and could you post the Carbon ROM changelog for the sanctity of laziness?
Damn, I wasn't listening to music on my phone for like 3 weeks because of that, I wonder how I could miss this relation when I changed rom. Anyways, thank you, I owe you
@up
But on my ROM it was always permissive, and some stated that it still doesn't work ^^

Dunno, last time on your RR (somewhere at the beginning of the month) it worked but was glitching sound, on Ferret's it worked properly (also old build) but on optimized cm it did not work at all (newer build).
After changing mode it finally works. I'll be delighted to check this out when (if) your new build is up
Sorry for OT.
Rom runs smooth, but haven't test it out heavily yet. Ram management seems to be alright for now
@ardentis
If you link me the official changelog I will include it. Couldn't find it....
@up : I can't find it either. . Could you add your changelog possibly?
Seems that official CarbonROM changelog is broken - it was good in times of KitKat

Oups, I did, but it seems I didn't hit the save button. But only difference is the StormySea kernel and the fixed sim issue.
link?
Wheres post #1? I can't find the download link?
Nevermind. It was a bug in my stock browser. For some reason I couldn't view anyone's op post but I'm on chrome now and it works fine.

It's quite nice to see people enjoying Carbon on the L90....

Well I was busy with school for awhile and I've been busy with family and getting my car fixed and stuff but I'm hoping to work on my Blisspop ROM in the morning(about 9 hours from now) and hopefully have an initial test build by Thursday or Friday.
My friend kinda stopped his development on liquid smooth as far as I know but I do intend to start off where he left off as soon as I can. When I get my initial builds of the ROMS I'm gonna need help figuring out how to fix bugs and stuff because I don't have experience in that but I am willing to learn. Any help will be appreciated. Also I was wondering is there a fix for the no focusing on the camera when not on stock ROM? It really kills the pic quality.
I am on d415. I noticed the OP says something about a patch. I use a patch3 zip every time I flash a new nightly. Does this mean I can use it with any of the variants, even the lollipop builds, like this ROM, and it will work?
I asked about the patch in a different post and someone mentioned it was some kind of kernel and doesn't work with cm12. Is there more than one kernel for the d415?

You don't need any extra flashed patches anymore I think.

Thanks a lot!!

According to the OP, it's still a bug.
