For cwm issues, i suggest to use any AOSP based rom boot.img (extract it from rom zip), flash using fastboot "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
or you can use my experimental boot.img (flash this from cwm) i am using this and no problem till now ....

My favourite. Loved it on my xperia ray, wondering how it will look on a bigger screen. Downloading now.
Sent from my C5303 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Enjoying it very much.
Only unusual thing is that the CWM recovery in this ROM doesn't allow me to mount the external SD card. So no back ups, installs or restores there - some of my nandroid back ups are 2GB and the SP only has 5GB of internal memory for the user...
Otherwise, working really nicely, thanks!

use kernel from other rom, as i know recovery are embedded in the kernel

Great job man! What took you so long? I thought you had it ready long before...

In Recovery i can not use my external SD Card! I'm worry about this, becouse this ROM is awesome. But i can not use it for daily, that is really really sad!:crying::crying::crying:
But, thanks for the Dev! Great job man!:good:
Sorry for my bad english

This rom is almost PERFECT!
I'm always a fan of slimbean ROM as I use them as my daily driver during my gt-i9100g days
The only problem is like what @Parkside has said, the recovery does not recognize external sd card
but that doesn't stop me from using this while waiting for CM11, because this rom is just awesome!
Thanks for this :good:
edit: found another bug,
got some problem with wifi I think, it can't detect or connect manually to wifi that is encrypted by WPA2-AES security. (that's what my windows 7 state here)
Other than that wifi is working flawlessly.
oh and also, the performance is MIND-BLOWING!
edit2: the wifi can't detect network that the encryption type that is ONLY WPA2 (does not care AES/TKIP/Whatsoever)
yay this going to be my daily driver right now woohhooo (so happy LOL)

change some settings on my AP and working well :good:
tested the boot.img (OP experimental) and now I can use external back in CWM.
All in all, working extremely well
Just a question though, the internal memory seems like it is being emulated.
I found that this rom use a folder (the name of the folder is"0") as 'emulated' internal memory.
The folder is created on the root of internal memory of the phone (which I can't accessed after booting the phone)
Weird? Dunno. I believe it must have it own reason

All AOSP ROMs does that it emulate internal memory cm, pac, aokp & all others use folder "sdcard0/0" ad internal memory not Just "/sdcard0"
It even effects recoverys you won't be able to restore any backup stored in internal memory up from folder 0

---------- Post added at 06:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:26 PM ----------
You can access internal memory by using any root Explorer and go to root/shell/sdcard0 you'll get your stock internal memory and you'll see folder 0 as a internal memory for aosps roms

Friend, I'm testing your ROM and so far it seems that the best is based on AOSP, Your new kernel works perfectly, and the rom is very smooth, and battery'm still doing tests and I expect a 3 charge cycles ...
Inverted GAPPS is very cool, a great ROM, my Greetings
sorry for the bad english

Thx for the explaination regarding the internal memory.
Never noticed when I'm using the PAC nightly rom. Seems like I was far behind. Was using s2 but then had to use blackberry for some month, must be missing out lots of things in android world :3
Anyway, battery for me so far is about the same as stock. But the performance is much more outstanding of course.

Just amazing.I installed it now and it looks great, fast and with more features!!
Good job, and the new CMW with swipping and the fixed SD card issue is also great. Many thanks DEVS!:good:
EDIT:The selectable GAPPS installer has a bug though. When you go to the apps selection screen it flashed and vibrated for like 50 times and then the installation froze...
And with the non removable battery the only thing i could do was press the reset button which seemed to work after a few seconds.

The gapps issue must be from slimbean team itself, as the gapps is provided by them. I just use the basic slim gapps and works flawlessly for me. I never opt for AIO/aroma gapps.
Anyway, love this rom

As this states guys...CM10
Okies first off, this wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for
theschneidi
Darkorn
benjamingwynn
These guys are the brains....they built this.
All i do is test & and whatever the guys need done!
This will have its problems as this is a [WIP] Work in progress.
Please do not come to us saying this or that don't work or i want this or i want that etc. you get what is available! Simple.
I would only recommend this to experienced users or developers to play with, others can use this at there own risk!
Currently this has the following working.
WIFi
3g Data
USB Works
Some sensors & Multitouch.
Has smartassV2 enabled
Camera Fixed *(is buggy so use lgcamera from google play for a perfect picture)
NOT WORKING
GPS (says its active but does not work)
Bluetooth
Accelerometer .
Please don't ask for them to be fixed in the next version or when can u do it etc....the more you ask the longer it takes!
There is no data2sd there is another way for this rom!
I have got this working with a form of data2sd. you can find the stuff in this post here>
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124
Please say thanks etc when u visit.
the version you want to be using is this >
INT2EXT4
-Mounts /sd-ext to /data
-Works with EXT 4 filesystem
-ZipAligns /data/app on every boot
-No symlinks
download link is here
>http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zols99melqwxys0
Word for future reference.....this is only compatible with ROMS 2.3.7 to 4.1+ DO NOT USE WITH 2.3.3/2.3.5 ROMS
to install the above follow this exactly ( failure will result in serious cockups!)
Install:
(Instructions based on ClockWorkMod recovery)
-Download Chosen Script Below
-Place on root of your sdcard
-Reboot Recovery
-Select "install zip from sdcard"
-Select "choose zip from sdcard"
-Select "CronMod-****_signed"
-Select "mounts and storage" category
-Select "format /sd-ext"
-Reboot
Here's another way of simplifying the instructions curtsy of Mitch 91.
Triple wipe x2
Flash the rom
Flash the INT2EXT4
Turn back and select "mounts and storage" category,Select "format /sd-ext"
Turn back and select "advance" category, Select "reboot recovery" (maybe isn't useful)
Flash the GAPPS
Do not panic if this didn't work the first time...several users have reported a couple of attempts when doing this.
Screenshots are available and will be posted shortly.
For the current CM10 version here's the link
>http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?o7589oocokfwlcu Current version 128mb (seriously trimmed to allow gapps installation)
>removed JB keyboard version
for the working GAPPS
>http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nd7qrwq69o4cnod Trimmed Heavy (12mb) (No Talk/Search)
>http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nt1w4c220b6jpqr Trimmed Light (19mb) (Recommended to use this one)
>http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hkgxeasf6djeaon Full Size 82mb (May not work properly.)
Installation is simple.
As some have pointed out, i have changed the install process as this is confirmed working.
Failure will result in no increased memory. U have been warned.
Triple wipe x2
Flash the rom
Flash the INT2EXT4 (follow the extra rules on this as i listed above)
Flash the GAPPS
Reboot. it will take sometime to install and boot up...
Check you space on full boot up, if it shows then your ready to go! If not repeat INT2EXT4 precess again
Im not going to waffle on, you all know the drill. keeps silly comments out of this thread....problems and issues not stated above please add in below.
Please say thanks to all people mentioned... without them you wouldn't have this.
All i can say from here is............ENJOY! :good::highfive::laugh:
I any users experience lag of any sort, use a CPU profile. Setcpu or CPU Master will really help this out.

Tried it. Rom got installed fine with Gapps. but even after installing the script internal memory has not changed. Tried the same script with CM7. it worked fine. repeated the script thing 3 times with CM10. memory is same 150MB.
Not working for me with CM10. should i change the partition of the memory card to EXT4 before running the script?
Thanks in advance
Re: [ROM][WIP] CM10-4.1.2 Unofficial
Did you wipe the sd-ext after flashing the script before reboot?
Don't try ext4 as ibdont know if the kkernel will take it.
If u did wipe the sd-ext then its possible you did something else wrong as it worked everytime for me if the instructions were followed.

*** No! I am not complaining ***
Used the CM10. few things that i found that needs ur concern.
1. Widgets do not use complete screen size. May be it is still using only wildfire screen size. Icons in the home screen hence are bigger.
2. Gtalk is missing from gapps. I understand you had removed it to reduce the size.. will help if u can include it back. We use it a lot.
3. camera and gallery not working. No problem take your time for both of them. Ready to wait.
4. Please make the int2EXT4 work for me
Thanks in advance The rom is just awesome. Really a very big thanks to all 4 of you..

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM10-4.1.2 Unofficial
Axitvate the widget resixze in settings launcher. Its there I found it because I wanted to resize to. The int2ext does work, only you can make it work. Keep fiddling or reformat ext3in partition wizard. Gallery does work. Camera is faulty due to lib files.
For now cut gtalk from a jb galls and paste into system folder and reset permissions to match other system apps. Ill sort gapps later when back from work.

I installed the script with ext3 formatted partition and it worked. It is neccesary to follow the steps. Maybe extracting the gtalk.apk would help for you.

The same issues INT2EXT4 script doesn't work for me too, tried it 3 times doing the process still stuck at 150MB, I checked int.d folder the script is there but no execution
Edit- Reformatting it.
Edit2- If anyone can help please help me get INT2EXT4 script working.
I tried reformatting, making it EXT3 primary drive and other FAT32 primary.
Then I flashed the script and formatted SD-EXT under mounts and storage.
Tried with 2 cards both still showing the same 150MB internal
Could anyone give any clearer instructions than that.
Edit3- Using Link2sd on EXT3

Because i face same problem with non GB Rom.
Btw thanks
I'm trying this ROM since yesterday. (aokp_tass_jb 30.05.13.zip)
It seems to be working as smooth as possible for Android 4.2.2 running on this phone.
The installation went fine and for the moment I'm only running the ROM with Gapps pointed. I like the plain design based on Android 4.2.2
The only issues that I found for the moment are. :
- When you lock the phone using PIN security the numbers looks half cut.
- The apps that have a white background, like calendar, messaging or play store, when you open them, the animation of the app opening with white takes over the top status bar and for a second it looks strange the wifi, battery and clock with a white background. I don't know if that is an normal behavior.
I will try it with time and with more apps how it keeps running.
I'm checking how to install and use S2E to have more space on the phone. It will be great if on future versions of this ROM can include S2E.
If anybody has a pointer to install S2E on Android 4.2.2 that works it will be welcome.
It is being a nice ROM to try.

You are right. I'm reading that S2E does not work on AOKP.
I'm trying to use Link2SD but I can not make it recognize the ext4 partition.
- I created the 512MB ext4 partition and let 0 on swap with CWM (5.0.2.8)
- Rebooted and Link2Sd told me it can not mount the partition.
Any tips on how to make Link2SD work?
I can not make Link2SD work. Any tips are welcome.
Today I also noticed that the camera is not smooth as desired. I was taking some pictures and rebooted automatically.

Have a look at these scripts: [SCRIPTS]CronMod-INT2EXT
I suggest using
- INT2EXT+ or
- INT2EXT4+ (if you are using EXT4)
I use these scripts on any JB ROM, including but not
limited to CM10.1 by rohan007 and AOKP JB by erikcas.
[size=+2]Important![/size]
The installation instructions are a bit different!
Boot in recovery
Mount /system
Install zip from sdcard
Format /sd-ext
Reboot
(You have to mount /system or it won't work)
Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm checking it right now.
No it didn't work yet
I followed this:
- I downloaded INT2EXT4+ (CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed.zip)
- Booted in recovery
- Partitioned the SD Card from the Recovery menu. 512MB, ext4. and 0 on swap.
- Copied the CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed.zip
- Mounted /system
- Install zip from sdcard (CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed.zip)
- Wiped Cache, Dalvik
- Rebooted.
Installed again SD2Link, give it admin privilege, selected ext4. It says me that "Mount Script cannot be created".

When you said "Format /sd-ext" I guess you mean to wipe from the CWM menu, right?

No, you're supposed to actually format the sd-ext partition, by going to:
mounts and storage => format /sd-ext.
Don't wipe Dalvik cache through recovery after installing any INT2EXT script, if you want to wipe Dalvik,
flash the Dalvik-Cache Wipe Tool under Downloads at [SCRIPTS]CronMod-INT2EXT.
Or use the V6 SuperCharger script.
I'm guessing you mean Link2SD? I don't have much experience with that app,
from what I'm reading is that it should work fine on Jelly Bean with root and an EXT4 partition.
You say you granted root privileges, so I guess the error Mount Script cannot be created could mean that there's not enough space left on /system?
this is a nice rom... really, best so far i've tried... even i'm not using my mini in everyday life... but, am i the only one who got his error... my problem is only home button seems doesn't work after flashing in this rom...... (i don't know if i do something wrong... ) any help ?:cyclops:

after installing the nightly, i am on android 4.3.1?
Meh..
You downloaded the JB nightly?
You didn't factory rest your phone?
I know that 2013-12-26 nightly is Kitkat. I haven't tried 2013-12-26 as I reverted back to JB since sms restore apps don't work yet because of changes in kitkat API.
Anyone point me in the right direction for an SMS backup restore app that does work with JB to Kitkat migration i'm all ears.
Kitkat is very cool though.:good:

My backup seems to work for me. It asks you to change the default app to do the restore but then it will change it back once it's restored.
Cheers,

Yep That worked
Yes that app restored my sms just great then I went back into settings and switched the default messenger back. I've found that the initial Google setup doesn't restore my contacts though or restore my apps, like in 4.3,4.2 .. So I've rolled back to 4.3 until I can get this worked out.
CWM is a life saver
P.S.
I'm using a slim build of signed gapps ~22MB Just like with 4.3 To get over the extra bloatware
No SD Card
Hello
Could anyone tell me if they have been able to get the internal storage working on this rom? I have OmniRom, Free Xperia and this one but all the KitKat roms seem to have the same problem.
Once the rom is installed everything works really well except the internal memory (ext sd card is fine)
I would really apreciate it if you would be able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks
John

did you format your internal storage while running 4.4kitkat custom rom?
you see the internal storage but cannot write it, or is it not visible?
i know about an issue on omnirom:
if you install omnirom, and then you format internal storage, you lose internal storage.
how i fixed it? clean installation of sony stock.145. then format internal storage. then install custom rom.
is that your problem?
edit:
seems quiet here about aokp kitkat for XT, how is that rom? same like CM? any thoughts from you?
If you would like to use TWRP Recovery with this ROM, you can use this app to install it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...mer.twrpxperia
Also, this app allows you to come back to CWM if you don't like it. This app works on all custom ROMs (that have FXP-based kernel) and allows installation of TWRP to FOTAKernel partition.
This Rom looks very promising. I am coming from Samsung and are new to this kind of flashing. My device is new so I didn't try this Rom. But after further reading I will definitely try this.
How about bugs in current nightly versions? I saw that there were no bugs filed depending this device. Do you need testers?

That means battery drain as well as it tries to sync infinitely when you have GApps installed.
So, still sticking to 4.3 here..
Killin my battery
Yeah If it wasn't for the killa drain on my battery I'd be using this.
Any iprovements, still battery drains, no GPS and sync issues??

We don't have an external SD slot.
Just use this:

Also, don't know if you manage the site, but if you give me a quick list of additional non-CM features, I can make it look neat for the Features page.

Hi @vedantgp,
I have run this great CyanFox Rom for the last 12 hours, it run good overall (except for rotation as mentioned). Very smooth.
Thanks.
I've installed this ROM and it's good but it gets laggy at times and just the rotation, since I love watching video using my phone, it's not favorable. Hehe, well. I'm willing to wait for the fix and will try to get back on it! Thanks for great ROM!

You need to update your recovery in order flash KitKat ROMs. The latest CWM (6.0.4.3) or Philz are the only two that will do it . I recommend Philz.

A) Reboot into recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + Gapps. Reboot.
Bootloader
This rom is meant to be used with kitkat bootloader. If you are unsure of what bootloader you are using, you should flash the following zip within recovery (official TWRP recommended):
V50020F Bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023707804
* Some stock based roms flash bootloader files without the user being aware of it. So just to be safe, I recommend everybody to flash the above zip to make sure that you are using all the correct bootloader files.
The installation went perfectly on a clean installation.
Huge thanks!
Same here installation is fine. Any way to make my sdcard work without a format?

yes, select portable storage.
Tried portable storage but said it was corrupt. Bit the bullet and formatted, had a backup so no biggie. ROM working great though.

I had no problems and did not need a reformat using portable storage.

There are two ways you can use your sdcard in marshmallow, as external storage or as emulated internal storage. Only the second one should require to format the sdcard.

I'm not sure why this is happening to you. You could try deleting the .android_secure folder in your external sdcard from recovery. That could be the reason why it says your sdcard is corrupt.
And I just did a clean installation of the latest CM12.1 today...
Thanks a lot @fefifofum! Downloading! I guess I'll go to sleep later tonight!
I tried to run Antutu but everytime it stops at 76%.
And adding a profile picture doesn't work.
Two minor things maybe; is a clear all recents button available somewhere and I can't turn off keyboard/touch sounds, I turn off the toggle but they are still on.

You goto keyboard settings and disable from there.

I too needed to format my sdcard (in portable mode) maybe filesystem related? I had an exfat fs now its fat32.
Installed yesterday. Enjoying now! Just great! Gamma is much better than in the two recent 12.1s.
Can't figure, though, how to make voice input work. There is a mic icon on keyboard... but nothing happens. Can live with that.
Portable storage works for me. I experienced some sd dismounts as on cm12.1. But in contrast to cm12.1 the external sd doesn't remount by itself. So I have to make reboot...
Otherwise everything seems work smooth and stable. Thanks for your hard work!

So are you using the ROM in this thread? Or are you using cm12.1?

That's caused by the adreno blobs from flo 6.0 used in this first release. Now I updated them from latest qcom release and the 3d test in antutu doesn't fail anymore. So tomorrow I will release a new build with that issue fixed.

I think that the first issue you mention is an upstream bug, we have to wait for it to get fixed.

That could be related to android_secure folder in external sdcard, but I need someone to erase it from recovery and confirm if that solves the issue. If that is the case, what I really need to fix is TWRP, which should erase android_secure folder when you do a factory reset.

Gamma should be exactly the same as in my builds of cm-12.1. About voice input, it's probably an upstream bug too.

Maybe the new storage approach used in marshmallow makes the sdcard not to remount automatically, no idea since I don't have unmounts. I'm sure someone else will confirm this in the following days. This post is interesting, you should read it, maybe the easiest workaround is to use a different sdcard. What brand, capacity, class... is the sdcard you are using?
