[Q] Battery Indicator Not Showing Correct Percentage - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, boys and girls
My S3 Mini is rooted and I'm running DMod v6 (which is awesome by the way) but i've been having a problem with my battery performance. I stumbled upon this article http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025936 which describes a similar as my problem but there aren't any replies on it So the problem is that my battery percentage shows incorrect readings of battery life. For example today I was at school and all day it said that i have 46% (although i used the phone for some time) At about 6 o'clock it finally said that i have 39% left and then after a few minutes (max 10mins) i check my phone to see when my bus arrives and it said that it had 37% left but after a minute it just started to bootloop and couldn't even boot up, because it beeped for low battery (so it was stuck on a bootloop for half an hour and then it finally died).I was listening to music when the phone started to bootloop (I also listened to music some of the breaks at school).
Now when i plugged in the charger and turned the phone on it said that it has about 50% and is charging (how is that possible??)
So it turns out that my phone just turned off when it had more than the midium battery left ('cause of the wrong battery reader).
I have also tried other ROMs like BenzRom v4 ; a Pre-Rooted Official ROM and a Rooted 4.1.2 ROM (on all ROMs it was the same).
Please tell me how to fix it !! I've had the phone since March 2013, but I don't mind replacing the battery if it would make things go back to normal).
I really hope that it's just my battery acting crazy and it's not something else

I have the same problem ... Have any solution?

[Q] Bad battery drain, new SGS, tried everything

hello,
i've had my SGS for a little over a week now. from day one i noticed battery drain but i thought it was normal for a new device. i flashed darky's 10.1 extreme on the second day i got it because it was very slow and had a lot of bloatware ( i wasnt very patient and i flashed at 95% or 96% battery), the drain was still there. i let it go through a few recharge discharge cycles and no improvement, so i used an app from the market called "batterycalibration" by marosige, no improvement and it the reading would drop to 99% or 98% after taking it off the charger.
i did a little digging and discovered i had the android os bug (was over 50% usage usually) so i used titanium to wipe software update and samsung account, and froze the first, didnt help by much
i then flashed darky's again at 100%, and now it still reads full charge after removing charger and android os bug i gone (reads 4% system and 4% os), but drain was still there. i emptied it to the point it couldnt turn on anymore then charged it from wall charger while turned off to 100% while i slept
i woke up and tested it by playing a game (Blastmonkeys) for like 20 mins and the battery went down to 90%, that was less than 2 hours ago, and now its at 87% and it was completely idle
notes:
my brightness is turned all the way down with no animations but display reads 54%, wifi is usually on when im home but battery stats show 6% wifi so i dont think its a big problem
also, the device was bought locked in france by someone else and im in egypt, so i dont know anything about warranty..
im sorry for the long post but i tried to be as detailed as possible...
hello, when i upgraded my sgs to 2.3.3 i also got battery drain and android os was consuming hell lot of cpu about 70%,..,.,then i flashed 2.3.4 jvp i didnt get any battery drain in that firmware then i upgraded it to 2.3.4 jvq this also donot have ny battery drain..,,.i recommend u to flash it and try it once
will try, but isnt darky only compatible with JVH? what happens if i change to JVQ?

see jvp and jvq are bug fixing firmwares and i didnt use any custom rom ,..,i have stock firmware which i just rooted and didnt use any mod or rom.,,.,.jvp and jvq are stable roms diffrence between the both is that in jvq browser is improved gallery improvement,.,..,etc
As far as I know, the percentage not being 100% after unplugging is normal. To prevent wear on the battery, the phone cuts the charger after reaching 100%, and restarts charging when it reaches ~95%.
I don't think a 3% drop in battery over 2 hours is uncommon. Wifi and data connection will pull a lot of power if on, even in standby.

Normal, this phone drains about 20% battery per hour of screen use, slightly less when watching video.
2-3% drain over 2 hours is also pretty normal if you have wifi/sync on.

I just got my SIM card replaced today. The one I had used before was about 12 years old. So whenever you-re having battery issues, make sure your SIM card is not the cause for it .

[Q] Phone switches off even though it showed 40% battery

Have a peculiar problem, The phone drains off faster than usual for last few days. In couple of instances it showed 40% battery and suddenly the phone got switched off. When i switch on it showed 0% battery and again got switched off. When i put on charger it was back to 40%.
Also full charged battery drained to 25% in 5 hours, earlier it used to come atleast a day. Battery also looking a bit fatty in its surface. Any pointers if this is the battery problem or any calibration issues? I use the stock kernel - 2.3.6 and this is there since few months. The problem started only few days back.
This happened to me too and it turned out it's a battery problem.
When I changed my battery, everything went back to normal.
If you know somebody who owns a similar battery, you can test it on your phone.

[Q] [HTC One M7] Battery Calibration/Dying battery?

I have an ATT M7 One that is a little under a year old and recently (Past month or so) I have been having really odd battery fluctuations. I’ll link to an imgur album with some of the battery level graphs that I’ve caught in the past few weeks to hopefully help you understand what I’m talking about more clearly since I don’t think I’ll be able to describe them very accurately on my own. So in the first case i’ve encountered I will charge the battery fully, and once the phone is running on battery it will last anywhere from 15 minutes to maybe an hour two and then just die. But when it dies, the battery level still displays 60%-70%.(Images 4,5,6,& 7) Then when I turn the phone back on the battery level will be anywhere from around 0%-20% and will last for another couple of minutes before dying again. There is another case of my battery acting really strange where the battery level will stay at around 50%-60% even though it’s being charged continuously (Right side of Image 1). I don’t know if it’s because my battery’s calibration is off or of the battery is just dying. I really hope the battery isn’t just outright dying; to get to this level of battery instability in under a year seems pretty shocking to me. I should add that i didn’t get any of these problems before I rooted my phone. I didn’t notice it while it was rooted with the stock rom. I initially started noticing the problem after I installed a GPE rom (not exactly sure which). I thought it was just the rom at first but I’ve switched around to different roms and have been getting the same problem. So does anyone know what the problem is or what could have caused it and if it is even fixable at all?
Thanks for any input!

UPDATE: I've performed a factory reset and used the phone as normal while watching battery life. The battery life lasted about an hour and a half, getting down to 80%. Throughout the battery life I was re-installing my apps and one of my restores required a restart. When I restarted my phone, the phone powered on with 60% battery life then died about a minute later.

[Q] Battery

Hi guys, I've a problem with my one.
Sometimes the battery percentage get stuck on a value for a long time, even if I keep stuff running (that usually drains battery). Tonight happened again in such a strange way..
The phone turned off yesterday evening at 0%, so I plugged in, turned on the phone, used another bit and than setted in plane mode so I went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed the green light so i took the opportunity to pull the plug (to avoid overcharge). This morning i notice battery percentage at 77% and battery stats with no app activity with cronology time on 32mins (I pulled the plug 4/5 hours before). Now I'm using the phone from more then an hour and it's still at 77%.
Is this an hardware or a software problem? I have stock rom update to lollipop version.
Do you know how can I try to solve this?
Also if i leave the phone unplugged at night it battery drops down 4/5% and in the battery stat i can see "standby 100%" with 100% of the time "without signal".. in the battery cronology wifi bar looks always active

Battery calibration messed up

Hi I rooted my phone a few weeks ago hoping fir better battery and performance when needed but every since tge battery calibration has been messed up, for example earlier I was using my phone to music through ear phones and looking through Facebook (using 4g) it said I had 73% battery left but then died, phone was charged to 100% over night and only had about 35 mins of actual on screen time.
Ive tried many different battery calibration apps but none work.
Sometimes when the battery completely discharges and turns off and I plug in the charger it wilk give me the actual battery % but when I turn on the phone it will say 40% even though its actually only 12%
Should I use a different rom? Can someone recommend me one for my c6903 please
