One more new case for LG G2, Slimmest case out there, almost no lip, rubbery coating. - G2 Accessories

I am a case hater(screen protectors too). I never had a case on any of my 50+ smartphones for the past 4 years. Every case I buy will have something that turns me off or disappoints me. After several days of use. I take it off and never put it on. It is clearly waste of money and no protection at all for the phone. Recently I cracked 2 of my phones(Note2 and G2). And decided that I will have a case. I got quick window which is ok but adds some bulk and not comfortable to use.(flip part gets in a way)
For the past several years 1 case got my attention. Ringke slim for iphone 5. http://www.amazon.com/Release-Premi...ie=UTF8&qid=1385245025&sr=1-1&keywords=ringke it was for my wife's iPhone5. (i am an iphone hater too ) it is the slimmest and most comfortable case I have ever used on any phone.(dont bring out your pitch forks and torches, it is my personal opinion)
Now that company started making cases for LG G2. http://www.amazon.com/RINGKE-PERFEC...UTF8&qid=1385245039&sr=1-1&keywords=ringke+g2
I just ordered mine and will wait to see how the quality and the comfort is.
I wanted to ask if anyone has used this case for G2 and how is the experience?
I hope somebody will benefit from this post.

Looks like that particular one only works the international variant.
I wonder how much protection it actually provides in a fall. Looks pretty sweet, though.

I had one for my g-nex and I loved it. It is very slim. It stinks they don't have a version for the Verizon g2 or I would get one.

Actually that info is wrong, they say its for the international but its actually for the 8.9mm phone which is T-Mobile/Sprint

Yeah I had case from Ringke for my Galaxy Nexus too...So I email Ringke...and they told me right now they have no interest on making a Verizon Variant for the G2 case...Sad.

Ah that sucks I would have really liked one for my g2. I remember with the g-nex enough people emailed them for a extended battery version and they actually made one. I guess that was a little different though. G-nex was a much bigger community though.

Yeah...If Verizon just kept the original model then it would been better. More choices for accessories..

I had a Ringke Slim on my Galaxy Nexus. Loved the slim profile BUT the plastic is cheap, on my GNex model, it started getting hairline cracks on all 4 corners. This was common. Ringke shipped out replacements but the replacements did the same thing.
Since them I moved on to CaseMate Barely There and the Incipio Feather.
Out of the CaseMate and Incipio, I found the Incipio to have the overall high quality award with it's super slim profile, nice soft matte feel, and super high durable plastic that is solid all the way though (not painted like Ringke).
I put an Incipio on my womans iPhone 4 and fell in love with it. Since then I've ordered me one for my old Galaxy Nexus and have a new one on my G2.
Thats my personally recommendation of all time favorite slim cases, and I've probably been there and tried them all.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will have to try one out!

I got the Poetic Palette case. It just like the Incipio Feather but I got it cause of the 3yr warranty and it cost less. Nice rubber-like feel to the back. People that see the phone think the case is the official back of the phone and love it.

Better reviews than what the OP posted, if anyone wanted something to compare to.

Poetics 3yr warranty is freaking awesome but I've found their cases on the cheap side. The good side is you just email them and they send you a new one.
I haven't tried the poetic palette. Looks good. Hopefully its isn't painted like most.

The Poetic Palette case seems pretty hard for a slim case. It feels just a few mm thinner then a credit card but really hard. Not that it bothers me, but the case is hard to take off once you get it off. You have to take one corner off first, then the rest; I like that. Makes me feel that a fall won't just make the case come right off. Oh and it has that low profile when face down that you can barely see the glass isn't resting on the surface. Also gives you just enough clearance that the camera lens and power button aren't touching the surface too. Over all just happy with it so far

The palette case is either the soft touch feel (which i personally hate) or the "quiksand" texture. I would recommend the sand one personally.

I want the Feather for my Sprint variant but all they "officially" have is the Feather Shine, which is too slippery for me. I see that they make a Feather for AT&T and Verizon. I'm assuming that I can't use the VZ, but can I buy the AT&T version for my phone.
By the way, +1 on the Ringke cheap plastic. I had the exact same case for my Gnex and while I liked it, I got the four corners cracking too.

Yea you CAN'T use the Verizon one because the Verizon one has smaller buttons. I can CONFIRM that my Verizon one, the button cut out is curved for the smaller buttons.
You CAN use the one for the AT&T version or other. I'd probably just pick them on from Amazon. All the G2's are exactly the same with the exception of the Verizon buttons. Verizon really screwed up changing those. I not only like the look of the standard buttons better but I also think it would be easier to use. Different topic though.

Pop Case and Seidio Clip
Does anyone know if the POP kickstand case will fit into the Seidio Surface holster clip??
$35 at the AT&T shop when I got mine. Seemed way too pricey so I skipped on it. Turns out they're still pretty expensive on eBay. That's too bad. I'll probably end up getting a gel case like I did for my Captivate.
Currently using this CaseMate case.
Very large case, but once I got used to it, the Optimus 3D felt too small
I like how it feels in the hand and the stand is a plus. Helps a lot, but the stand is made completely out of plastic and feels very flimsy. Always worried it might snap off if used too much.

It's bulky but it still fits in my front pocket. With my Infuse, I had a leather flip case (that the Thrill also fits in very well), I couldn't put it in my front pocket, had to go in the back.

Same here. Also, the power button is a bit harder to push than the other case, but I like this case.
The real down side is that the kickstand makes the phone stand where the power plug is, so you can not have it plugged in to power when watching a video on it unless you hang that part over the edge of the counter\table.

bodyglove case

http://shop2.sprint.com/NASApp/onli...ryID=CZS5478Q&topPageNumber=0&subPageNumber=0 im going to try this out tomorrow, had one for the galax.1 and the infuse, slim and good protection and grip,of course i will get screen protectors!!
I bought this case at the Sprint store the day I bought my phone just to have something to protect it in until I figured out what I wanted to do as a long term solution. This case ended up being that long term solution. It is very light and thin yet I feel provides a lot of protection on the corners and sides of the phone as well as protruding higher than the glass front of the phone in case the phone is dropped face first. I like the texture on the back of the case a lot in terms of my ability to hang on and use the phone with one hand. This case is a keeper in my opinion.

I also got this same case on release day, it's good case the design on the back gives it good grip. Like stated before it is keeper. But for me I gonna go with something a bit thinker just so I have a piece of mind. hopefully BG makes a tactic style case like the one for the gs3.
these don't look bad in the glacier color.
http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Gal...eries-Case/sam4-galaxy-note-2,default,pd.html
Picked one up from sprint as well and i really like it Offers nice protection, grip, and feel. I also got it to hold me over until i found a case i wanted for long term but may end up keeping it, it all depends on if my flygrip sticks well to that textured back.

Any chance this is available for international customers?
The body glove that is.
I too picked one of these up at a Sprint store. I had to go to an official sprint store, the affiliate store I checked first said there weren't any cases being made yet. I paid $26. I agree with the above comments, it's quite nice, although I'll go with a water resistant (siedo/otterbox) whenever it comes out. I did have to trim the top edge of a couple of my microusb cables, I thought about trimming the case but it's pretty thin there, and I only had to very slightly bevel the plastic of the cable. I've had the same problem with my Nexus 7 so no biggie.
Yeah i just bought one too and this thing is too flimsy for my taste. I got spoiled by the Speck case for my Note 1. But i had to patience. Couldnt keep my phone in a plastic box for 2 weeks.
I would LOVE to have a Speck - the Speck case for my 80G Ipod looks like a tire!

Yep, I like this case a lot also but can't find it in France or elsewhere in Europe...
Also, this case isn't super rubbery feeling. If that's what you're looking for then this case isn't for you. Personally, I don't care for silicone cases because they get stuck in my pocket and and too rubbery feeling. This case is a bit more pvc feeling and isn't rubberized. I didn't think I would like it, but it's pretty solid. It's a bit more expensive though.
This looks close to what I am looking for. Is it one piece? Seems like it would just slide out ?

the only disadvantage is it doesn't have the raised areas over the buttons. that's key on the samsung case. I would much rather have the textured back on this one though. It feels great overall, slim, light, and makes the phone feel solid. I wish there was some compromise between them.
So has anyone found a way to get the body glove outside US? It seems to be perfect for my needs. Slimmer and prettier than the samsung tpu case. I've searched but nobody ships it to Europe. Is Sprint the only store selling it? Do you think the case will become available wider or should I just buy the samsung tpu?

I like the case too. You can order from sprint.com no matter where you live or order over the phone from them.
My cousin just got the GNII 2 days ago, and he too rapped it with the Bodyglove case. So far he likes the case a lot. For me when I get the GNII on 12/1, I will be going the Otterbox Commuter series case route. I will not take any chances when dropping $299 with a 2 year attachment, lol...
I have one, feels awesome. Just wish it had the covers over the buttons. other than that, no complaints
Hate
I hate the cases with covers over the buttons. Takes away from the feel of the phone and having to press extra hard to get a response from the buttons sucks. I have never had a BG cover that I have ever liked. Seen this one on the Sprint sight when I ordered it and it looked good so I gave it a shot. I have had 6 different TPU cases on other phones and this case is the best I have used. So I don't find it a down fall at all the buttons are not covered. Plenty of grip. Raised areas cover the camera and screen edge perfectly. Get it and you wont be disappointed! :good:

No we can't. Sprint.com doesn't ship outside US. That's the problem.
"Orders cannot be sent to PO boxes or international addresses."

Diztronic, love it!

I bought directly from the site of the seller.
I've been a user of this case since my last phone (HTC Evo LTE). The case did me really well on that phone and it was slim on form factor. Protector was also very good on the previous phone as I've dropped it couple times with the phone in the case. No damage were shown on the case or on the phone. Because of this, I decided that I would choose the same company again if I were to change phones.
This time around, I went with the Samsung Note 2 as an upgrade to my previous phone. The case wasn't announced when I got the phone, but soon after they decided to make the case. I bought it the second day it was announced through the owners site. Case arrived quickly and the quality is still superb. If you check this listing, there's a few photos that I posted which represented the case. When you lay the case flat with the phone inserted, it's basically the same thickness as the Evo LTE with the phone in a diztronic case. Adds very very minimal bulk which doesn't affect the usability.
The back of the case is a matte finish. This matte finish actually allows the user to grip the phone better. That's not just it, the finish also reduces all fingerprints and dust particles.
Phone cutouts are all perfect and aligned to the spot. Power button and volume buttons use a soft silicon touch. It's covered, but in no way does it affect the touch. I can still easily press those buttons and the phone would respond to my action.
Overall, great case! Price is right! Go for it!
Im pretty pleased with mine too even though I normally dont use tpu protectors. It has a really nice feel and the sides seem like they provide substantial protection. No real complaints from me. I know diztronic has a great reputation and this was my first case from them so im happy.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Im on the same boat!! I detest silicone and TPU cases as they are flimsy and stretchy, causing plenty of dusts to get trapped inside and scratch the device. But when I saw this case on Diztronic site I was very amazed so I ordered one. It arrived fairly fast despite the holiday seasons for US to Australia. Been using for 2 days and have to say, the best TPU case I've ever seen. The texture is very very nice, matte and really nice to touch and hold, raised lips to protect the screen, cover all the buttons (my favourite features), compact and thin enough but still have a decent protection from it. I'm very happy with this case, by far the best case I've got for Note 2 yet.
The only thing they should improve is to stick with matte texture all the way rather than having the raised lips/edges in glossy texture. And the seams could use some clean up.
Perhaps. I kinda like the edges with the smooth finish. Feels good when I need to stretch fingers across the whole phone.
One other plus I noticed is it seems to not get stretched easy. As I said this is my first Diztronic case so I'm sure others already know, but I've taken it on and off about 5 times and it still fits tight.

I just want to pipe in and say I really like the Diztronic tpu case on my note 2. I used their cases on my Galaxy Nexus and was very happy. They add very little weight and size to the phone, yet I feel like my phone has pretty decent protection. My Galaxy Nexus still looks brand new, even though I dropped it a few times. I've dropped my note 2 one time and it still looks perfect.

[Q] Cases you are using

I am curious to what cases people are using and recommend. I am currently uaing otterbox case I bought when I got my phone and the corners are starting to peel back a bit, so I feel like I need a new case. In my area they don't have much for good protection cases that aren't to expensive.
I'm using the poetic atmosphere case. It has a little lip that lifts the screen off a table when face down, decent grip, and full back coverage. All while being really slim. I had a problem with my first one coming apart, but poetic sent me a brand new case that was "improved". And I don't think they were lying, the new case holds tight to the phone and is staying together nicely. Plus, they are cheap on Amazon.

I've got the Cimo Grip back in frosted clear, and my wife has the amCase with bumper(because it is pink ) I like the Cimo and have heard good things about the Poetics, I will say though that the amCase one doesn't have the power cut out so you cannot use the IR blaster. Altough it is easy to cut out with an exacto knife or the like.

I haven't gotten it yet, but I've been a Diztronic fan for a few years (and a few phones) now. TPU just gives it a little extra distance between the face-down screen and the tile when I accidentally drop it.
Incipio dualpro shine case looks super slick on it got it off amazon and it looks amazing

Could you post a picture? When I buy the developer edition I plan on buying the dualpro matte/grippy case.

I have the diztronic, the tudia melody (POS) and the griffin reveal. I only use a case while working. The griffin is easily my favorite, but the diztronic is very nice for a TPU case. Stay away from the tudia.
Any of those cases attract lint from pockets?

Neither the diztronic or the reveal collect lint. Wouldn't know about the tudia because it was only on my phone for 3 seconds before I vowed to never use it gain.
Well, whatever the case I'm getting something. Thank God motorola screwed up and sent me two phones and I was honest and sent one back, because I dropped mine and cracked the screen.! out of courtesy motorola is replacing mine free of charge so the new one will be in a case regardless.

Yep, just got my shipping notice too!
I ended up with Cimo Motorola Moto X Back Case Flexible TPU Cover since I went with a black back. I picked it up on Amazon. I went with black, but it also comes in blue, red, clear, pink, purple, and white. The only complaint I have about it is there is no holes for the power and volume so it hides the customized buttons. Instead the buttons are part of the case. My solution was to just cut the holes. If done right you can't even tell.
I got the snap case from Motorola because I saw the review videos and it looked nice. I got it in the smoked clear color. 3 problems. 1st is price. $30 is a lot for what you are getting here. Not a whole lot of protection but enough for peace of mind. 2nd is that whatever coating they put on this thing is slippery as hell and it hasn't been mentioned in any of the reviews I've seen so far. It actually makes it uncomfortable to use one handed because you have to grip it so tightly. 3rd is that when I normally hold a phone one handed I put my pinkie under the bottom to stabilize the phone. On this case there are sharp edges where it opens up around the charging port right where I would normally put my pinkie. For something this much I would've expected little things like this to have been taken into account. It does fit the phone really well and doesn't add a whole lot of bulk which is what I was looking for.

I actually use the pro shell case from Motorola, it's been pretty good so far. Feels good in hand and the rubberized edge covers the entire edge of the phone. The phone fits nicely in the case and it doesn't add any bulk to it. I'd suggest it over the snap case that they are offering on their site.
i bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DMOV802/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and i love it. it has a kickstand which is the main reason for buying it. it offers easy of use. you can take it off and on easily and the rubber case isnt the sticky rubber that seems to pull your pocket out everytime you take your phone out.

It's ugly, feels bulky compared to the Diztronic TPU case, and just has a very cheap feel to it. I only ordered it because it looks like the Incipio Frequency case that I had for my iPhone (it's a blatant ripoff) but it is nowhere near the quality. If you are looking for a decent TPU case, the Diztronic is the way to go.

I bought the dizronic before the X was available, love it but it doesn't play nice with the skinomi I have on. Thanks for helping me keep my pile of unused cases from getting any bigger.

That's what I'm here for. Anyone who knows me here knows I have a problem with cases. I already have 5 for the Moto X, and I have a few more on order. The funny thing is, I really don't like using a case with this phone so I have no idea what drives me to keep buying them haha. I had 30+ for my iPhone, about the same for my One X, maybe 25 for my HTC One.... yeah. haha
If you want to get a really good case, help me pester Urban Armor Gear into making one for us. Best case on the market, hands down. Post on their FB wall about making a case for the Moto X. https://www.facebook.com/UrbanArmorGear
Has anyone who has gotten a case noticed a change/muffling in the rattling sound that seems to occur when the phone vibrates? I'd be interested in knowing if having a case on it somehow minimizes the sound in anyway.
