Real Racing 2 - Glitches - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Has anyone got this game to work, and how? Apparently it had issues on our Note and SGS2, in the graphics department.
If you let it auto detect graphics when run, it will download the Mali SD Card data, but sadly this build is missing data from manufactures, such as tracks and other files.
Some people say to use the Adreno SD Card data, but as others have said... Although the game works, it lacks colour and everything appears black. They say to then use/download Chainfire 3D App, that installsa 3D driver layer, but all this does is locks up the phone into a non booster...
Some say the latest version kills support for our Notes, and that an older build v0.594 non HD works, but this doesn't even start at all for me...
Any ideas, anyone else got this to work?

I played the game. It stopped working some time ago. some update on their side broke compatability.

Thats interesting to know, and thats what I heard too... That an upgrade (from their end) as well as an upgraded OS (I think from either Gingerbread upwards, or could of even been IceCream Sandwich / Android 2.3 or Android 4.0.x) also killed it...
Apparently there is a fix for the game to still work, but requires using an older version of the APK, and due to the graphics chip used in the NOTE and SGS2, that you have to find/use a certain set of SD Data files....
So wondered if anyone has played this game lately on a JellyBean (Android 4.1.x / 4.2.x / 4.3.x) rom, and can clearly list how they did it please??? or via PM.
As I dont like the latest version, Real Racing 3 is no where near as good as Real Racing 2, the game play itself is slow by having to wait ages for car to be repaired or unless you PAY to speed it up. Plus the game speed itself is slow/sluggish.....
RR2 was so much better....

Anybody successfully been able to buy and use NFS. got it on the market for 99 cents on sale.
running darky's 7.0 w/ xcal kernel 2.4
force closes, i'm able to select a car, etc, but then it just plays music on a black screen.
???
Got it today, runs fine on a stock 2.1 ROM.

U may want to try setirons i9000.kernel... u have to use odin 1.3 to flash the tar file

Runs fine on stock rom. 2.1
It runs great on the leaked Foyo ROM as well. Can you check to make sure it is on your internal SD? I tried to run the files from my external SD, and went into boot cycles. Hope that helps.
Works great for me on Cognition 2.3b7 I have the bought version and the early version that was leaked a couple of weeks ago, 1.0.4 and they both run without an issue.
Im running darky V6 with setirons kernel, and it just hits the splash screen, the music plays, one out of every 5 times I can get to car select and it crashes. I dont get a FC message or anything. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling also, and restarting the phone. The data it downloads is on my internal sd and everything. I have no idea what the issue is.
I'm with stock XXJPY and this crap is closing... I think we just were stoled...

same issues here with 2.2.1 based roms. i could play once running Cronus.
Grab somewhere APK from Galaxy Tab - it's working for me perfectly

Im wondering if it has something to do with the market. As in, because we are using the different baseband version, the market is trying to give us the copy made for snapdragon chips.
I guess to confirm this, what version of nfs shift do you all have? I think in my many wasted google searches I saw different versions for the phones that use the snapdragon chips.
It's not a market issue... It's a NFS game issue - version 1.0.56 worked, but .58 not
So I dont know if anyone was able to fix this, but I did find a version for the tab and its working great now. I can't share it on here, because I know its warez or whatever it's called, but mine works great now. I will add that I paid for the game, just had to find a copy that actually worked.

I bought it during the sale and haven't ever gotten to play it either. I put a support request into EA, but 2 weeks later, I got a canned response (what's you phone, OS version, etc.... info that as already provided). I'm disappointed, since this was my first and so far only market purchase... I can confirm that it bombs on Xcal's and speedmod kernels, does anyone have it working with a newish rom (2.2.1)? If so, what kernel and game build are you running??
Mine works fine on phoenix, never have had a fc on this game.

What version of NFS are you using? I've got 1.5.7, someone mentioned 1.5.6 working, is that what you have?

Need for Speed Shift starts then shortly goes back to home screen...anyone else?

I got NFS shift from the Market but unfortunately it starts and shows the intro for example and sometimes I even make it to the car selection but then it will just crash back to the Home Screen with no errors.
I tried uninstalling and deleting data folders but that did not help.
I had the same problem with Darky's Rom using JPY, but on Pheonix which I think uses a Vibrant base, games works wonderful and have had no problems with it. There must be something to that, might be the 2.2 vs. 2.2.1.
Ah that sucks...gonna try a different JPY but you might be right.
Same issue. on Cezars SE Rom. I wonder if it has something to do with the Android ID.
Not sure but since I paid for the game already, I installed the game from the Market then downloaded the SD content from one of "those" sites and it runs fine so something is wrong with the files it downloads for the Galaxy S when you let it do it on its own...weird.
same here on Cezar's SE base. Sad face. :C The sims 3 does this too...

CM 10.1.3 Streaming Video Delay Issue

Recently took the CM plunge with my Nook HD+
Love how the lag and general sluggishness is gone, however, I have noticed something regarding streaming video. I work with a sports stats company that requires live game statistics. I have been using my tablet mainly for streaming ESPN, Big Ten Network, Xfinity TV. Since I flashed and rooted, I have noticed a pretty substantial lag in the games (If I open the application from the iPad or computer, I am noticing anywhere from a minute to 3 minute delay). Normally, you would most likely tell me "who cares", but since a major portion of the job requires speed and timeliness, I have been struggling with this lag.
Would there be any settings out there to tweak? It's obviously not the router, since before I flashed CM, it was on par with the iPad and computer versions of the app.
Thanks to anyone out there with assistance. Love what you guys do for this place.

If you can really guarantee that its not something else then just go back to the official. Make a backup of cm first so you can go right back if you want or need to.

[Q] Hearthstone - Does it work for our old smartphone?

I installed hearthstone on our phone but it says it doesn't have the minimum specification, I tried to installed it on Pengus JB Look Ma No Hands.
Anyone else had better luck?

[Q] Marshmallow Bluetooth Issues - Multiplayer Gaming

I recently got the Marshmallow OTA and went ahead with the update. Along came a very annoying issue. Below are my Moto X versions details;

Model: Moto X (2nd Generation)
I have been playing a game Virtua Tennis Challenge on my lollipop based system for multiplayer gaming. This game uses bluetooth connection for the game. Till now this was working just fine. Post the update the issue started. I am able to connect to the other advice in game and move ahead to start the game. I can see games hosted and can even click on the hosted match. But as soon as I move ahead I have no control. Can only go back and the game won't allow me to proceed.
Steps I have already taken;
Restarted
BT on/off
Clear Cache
Re-Installed the game
Initially I thought it was a model specific problem but then we tried the game on a Marshmallow Nexus 5 and the same problem persists. Which makes it certain that it is a Marshmallow issue. My idea is it that this has something to do with the updated security features if any. But this is just a vague guess.
TLDR; I can connect and that is all that I can do. Not able to play the game, i.e. join or let people join. Can play the game single player just not multiplayer using BT. If someone can redirect me to a workaround. Or if there is no escape, rolling back to lollipop seems the only option.
