[ROM] [MK2] Repacked Update/ROM - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development

Here is the MK2 ROM/Update
ONLY TESTED WITH Philz Recovery
About the ROM
Basically Stock
DeKnoxed
Rooted
Odexed
Update is the Update.zip from MK2, Reworked to allow it to be flashed on STOCK based MJA Odexed ROMs.
If you get errors for flash the update.zip on a modified MJA rom, it's not my fault. Such as but not limited to Wifi hack, KNOX Removal, etc.
at some point, I'll add a ultra-slim version as well.

Are you using a Odex rom?
Looking at the MJA Hotspot Hack. No, This update will disable that. If you use the tiny update zip and not the full ROM. I can not say how stable this will be with a modified services.jar/services.odex. Since the tiny update is expecting the files to be completely stock to apply the patches.

Right now I'm stock, rooted MJA

Both the tiny update and the full rom will disable the hack? I Downloaded the full rom but probably will not flash it if I lose the hack. Thanks for your help.

Very strange, do you have a logcat of the attempted flash?
Also, I updated the link for the update.zip, Try it now. People were talking about in the MK2 general thread, it needs to be named update.zip for some reason.

so after reading the OP I take it this won't work if I'm on mf9?
is it worth trying?
I'm on mf9.. cm11..

Same problem here. I know when I followed the instructions to update to MJA without bootloader i kept the MF9 modem because i haven't been able to get to a computer to apply it, could that be the issue or would i need the full MJA Bootloader and Modem to get this to stick?

Fixed the problem, went into the zip file and deleted the flash image file then reflashed it and it booted up fine.
Also was using a non touch cwm and also tried it with touch cwm, had the trouble with both until I deleted the flash image file.

I'm using bb 21d in the US on Att. No you simply use twrp or cwm to flash cm10 from GB. Please head over to the optimus 3d forums. Most 925 users are there anyway. They need to combine our forums.
I tried on 21d and 21e.
I got reboots on both.
I tried to flash the KDZ and start from scratch, nothing help. CM10 for P920 installs but hangs after a few minutes.
I think the issue is the baseband, which one are your guys using? When the P925 official arrives will we need to flash the V20P kdz?

Also a huge thanks the Matt Groff for the help!
Really though, THANK MATT!!!! He is the reason why my stuff gets fixed after I break it lol.
*Please note that 1.5 is still beta, focused on fixing lag issues caused by Moto scripts. I also added in 1% battery mod (thank youngunn). Please leave all feedback on thread and if you need help PM me.
Please think about offering up some money. With a bootloader unlocked Joker (and all other roms) could be so much better. Here is the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164525

Just installed it. Stuck on the boot screen, which is great btw. Will let it go a little longer, but I'm not sure where I went wrong. Stock side is ICS and rooted. I know that your rom needed us to be on JB, but I did not see anything in Joker's OP. It makes sense though, that we'd have to be. But since it wasn't in the OP, I didn't do it. I follow instructions. Lol.
UPDATE: Followed instructions on how to install JB Leak. Reinstalled recovery from SS3 and everything is working like a charm. Thanks Joker!

After it's created, go back into "Boot Options" and switch to the ROM slot. Finally, go to "Install" and install the ROM and respective gapps.
Instructions (ClockworkMod):*
Hold both of the volume buttons down while turning on your phone. If done correctly, you should get a menu with white text. Select recovery. Once you're in CWM, go to "Mounts and Storage" and mount /system. Now, flash the ROM and gapps.
*If you used ROM Manager to install CWM, you'll have major problems getting this (or any other ROM, for that matter) to boot. Reinstall CWM via fastboot.
*If you are coming from a ROM with a custom kernel(CM, PAC, AOKP, PA), or coming from a non-AT&T stock ROM, follow skeevydude's tutorial to flash the AT&T JB kernel here:

Also, is it based off Batakang (the first one) or Batakang Rises?

Last question. Lol
How do I download the gapps?
It says "authorize download" and I hit it and nothing happens.
Edit: nvm, figured it out. Have to enable desktop version on browser.

I don't know why it's doing that, but I'll add that to the OP.

It's a nice rom. Boots up extremely fast after install with a reboot. Confirmed LTE but there's a certain method I have to go thru to make it connect. Other than that I like this ROM. Plus camera works so that's all I care about

Edit build.prop in Root Browser Lite and add these lines:
ro.mot.ds.fastdormancy.disable=true
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0
telephony.lteOnGsmDevice=1
ro.telephony.default_network=9
ro.ril.def.preferred.network=9
ro.mot.eri=0
And I used BuildProp Editor in the playstore to delete any line with CDMA in it.

The LTE will not automatically connected after reboot. It will after making an out going call. This is weird. I may miss some changes to the build. prop
Other problem is tethering. The client can connect to the host but not to the Internet. This works fine in BR rom.

There have been no under-the-hood tweaks for battery, so your battery will likely be the same as Batakang.

Wanam doesn't get rid of "Custom"

Wanam exposed no longer gets rid of "Custom" at the boot prompt. Anyone know what's going on?

It doesn't work. That's what is going on. Triangle away will work though.
I don't know why so many people stand behind that feature in Wanam... It has never worked for me.

It's still working for me!
Works for me

Can you share a little more info about the setup on your phone?
I just install Wanam two months ago and that feature still works for me.

I'm rooted and on NB4. Suddenly a few days ago I noticed that "Custom" shows up when I boot the phone, which was not the case before, when I removed it using wanam.

Thanks. We have the same setup.
Do you have other modules activated that could be interfering with the Wanam module? If so I would disable all of them. Reboot. Turn on Wanam. Reboot. Then one by one activate a module, reboot, and see which one is the culprit.
I
Or instead of going through all that trouble, just use triangle away

Not sure if this will help anyone but here are my settings in Wanam.

Wanam worked for me while I was on stock MI9 bootloarder. After switching to MLG for the KitKat roms wanam no longer removes custom status. I thought about using triangle away, but our SM-N900A is not on the safe list. Can't afford a brick so I'm living with it for now. Please PM me if you find a solution.

Like others are confirming, Triangle Away does indeed work on our SM-N900A.
Wanam seems to be hit or miss for a couple of features. One that stopped working for me was the BOOT SOUND. It doesn't remove it anymore. I had to use Silent Boot from the Play Store. All in all Wanam is still the mod to use for customizing.

For my own sanity, can you confirm you are on a 4.4.2 rom w/ MLG bootloaders (drakey's "to get booting" set) when using triangle away or do I need to be on a specific (older) version?
Thanks in advance.

4.4.2 is MLG.
I can confirm it works with it.
