I hope that @Dees_Troy can solve system mount problem. When you flash a rom in recovery mount system spent more then 5 minutes. No problem on wipe instead

Hello everyone ... I ask here and I apologize if you are OT, but since there was a section, if it were possible if someone m from a hand with the recovery for LG VU 3 ....
Inviato dal mio LG-P760 utilizzando Tapatalk

So I flashed recovery (with Flashify). Reboot in recovery through Flashify, did backup., everything is perfect.
But how to go there with out that app ?
Example Power+Down not working. I try everything
I also checked how G2 recovery works: power+down>>>u see Lg logo>>>let go and press again power+down....but it's not working.
maybe in Flashify you nee to flash recovery as "Boot image" ??

Your currently in Twrp?
Press reboot and than system
In flashify I picked recovery image and used quick boot to boot into recovery.

Maybe I need to flash recovery.img as "boot img" ? not as "recovery.img"

Power off device.
VolUP+Power you should get a scrolling effect and than recovery after.

I've had and been rooting since the original droid on Verizon so I'm thinking that with a custom recovery it means the bootloader is unlocked. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I just don't want to buy a phone with a locked bootloader.

Or the D959 TMO?

I pmed @Dees_Troy about this and how theyr just coming to the US and hopefully our requests has been heard.

Help
I got the phone rooted but having trouble with recovery. I tried pushing and flashing it with ADB, no luck. Then I Flashed with Flashify. Have D959 TMo. Didn't work. When rebooted to recovery only shows "[450] fastboot mode started [450] udc_start()" Does anyone have some ideas to this? Really want to be able to flash a custom rom. Until then guess I just download my root required apps haha.
Thanks in advance

that's the same result I got when I flashed the unofficial CWM. Obviously, D959 not yet supported. At least root works and can get rid of some bloat.

Are you on 12B? I don't think the official TWRP is Loki patched for 12B. I patched one to work on both 11A and 12B if you want the link. I've read you can also just extract the recovery IMG from the zip and flash it with Flashify if you wanna try that.

I love TWRP 2.7.0.0 due to the vibrating feedback and the correct date imprint on backup names.
I'm on VS98012B. Had TWRP 2.6.3.3. Needed to update to TWRP 2.7 to move up to KK. I tried dd flashing the 2.7 from TWRP site. Now some error (too quick to see) comes up and shuts the phone off. Tried flashing with dd this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51173763&postcount=4 and got the same error. Tried Flashify and it won't load the image file and when I go to the backup tab it says I have TWRP 2.6.3.3 installed. Any ideas how I can get a custom recovery installed? I'm pretty much dead in the water...

You have 2.6.3.3 installed now right? If so just flashing mine in recovery will work fine. No need to dd them, probably wouldn't work anyway because in order to to change images in the ramdisk, I have to un-Loki them. Loki'd images can't be unpacked. So after I make changes, I repack and place them in a zip with a Loki patch that works on 11a or 12b. So mine are just to be flashed in recovery.

I think that's because you tried to flash an unloki'd image. Try flashing this one with Flashify https://www.dropbox.com/s/meddqewk6muv8p5/twrp.img. Its preloki'd and version 2.6.3.3 or.4, if it works you can just flash any of the ones from my thread in recovery to update to 2.7. There's a stock on there too if you don't want a themed one.

Try wiping app data on Flashify. And make sure its granted root access.
If all else fails you can try to dd the twrp.img I linked. I don't get why Flashify isn't working though. I've never had that issue. I had someone in my S3 thread that kept having Flashify issues. He used this app and it worked. You could try it too https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools

TWRP 2.7.0?

I've got a Moto X Developer Edition with an unlocked boot loader and running TWRP 2.6.3. I see there is now a 2.7.0 and I'm curious, does the latest version of TWRP work on the Moto X? I don't want to flash the update if it's not going to work. Thanks.
Edit: I see there is a 2.7.0.4 actually.

Yes I used flashify to install TWRP recovery 2.7. Just download correct recovery for your phone and use flashify to flash the recovery. If have used it twice for the moto x and it works perfectly.

I've never used Flashify before today. So much easier than hooking up to the PC going into fastboot to update TWRP. Took all of five seconds. Thanks.
http androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/MotoX/ you can download twrp 2.7.0.0 for moto x. Installing it is easy, all you need are the motorola phone drivers, the android sdk and motorola fastboot. You need to unlock your boot loader of course first. You can probably flash from an app after unlocking the bootloader, but you will need to be rooted for it to work. If you never used fastboot before there are lots of tutorials, but just use the motorola one.

No , dont flash it via cwm it wont work
My best bet would be to
1. download stock 4.4 firmware for x64
2. Extract the files to the fastboot folder
3. Boot into your bootloader
4. Open fastboot, then connect your phone (all moto driver should be properly installed)
5, Run the following commands exactly as is , one by one
fastboot flash partition rom\gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot rom\motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo rom\logo.bin
fastboot flash boot rom\boot.img
fastboot flash recovery rom\recovery.img
fastboot flash system rom\system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system rom\system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system rom\system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system rom\system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash modem rom\NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg rom\fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
Awesomely long (I know), but this is the only way to downgrade to a stock 4.4
You will lose your custom recovery and root too
Try this site
http://www.guidingtech.com/38303/restore-moto-g-stock/
Works for x64 too

TWRP installation / Secure Boot Error 1003

Hello everyone. I have rooted the G4, have SuperSU, and was going about installing TWRP. I used flashify and the TWRP version made for the H811 contained in these forums. Flashify seemed to install image correctly, but upon rebooting into recovery, I got a "Secure Boot Error 1003" and then a reboot to normal operation. I have searched and seen fixes for different devices, but none for the G4. Where did I go wrong and what can I do now?
Did you hit flash boot img in flashify instead of recovery img? You could try to boot into download mode and redo root process should fix then flash twrp using flash recovery img in flashify.
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

If redoing the root process doesn't fix you can try using the kdz file to return to stock, then re root and re flash twrp in flashify.

You need to have OEM Unlock enabled in Developer Options, that how you can modify the boot files by unlocking the boot loader.

Did you hit flash boot img in flashify instead of recovery img? You could try to boot into download mode and redo root process should fix then flash twrp using flash recovery img in flashify.

Nexus 6 stuck on bootup

My nexus 6 is soft bricked I'm assuming, I can't get past the 6.0.1 boot up screen it just keeps on booting . The device is unlocked with TWRP recovery but not rooted as far as I know it's not rooted. The only way I can check MTP is through twrp but it's showing an exclmation point in device mgr. I'm in wugs toolkit now under Advanced Utilities, before I got the boot logo it had the you're device is corrupt. I fixed the corrupt message by putting my device in boot loader mode and in Advanced Utilities under fastboot flash then I clicked Boot [Kernel] I flashed the stock kernel and that got rid of the corrupt device warning screen. I'm gonna try flashing a modified boot img next but I'm having trouble. I just need someone to stick with me for awhile and help me fix this thing because I gotta return it and I don't have long.

If TWRP is installed there's no problem. Just a matter of the pc let recognize the device. Quit the toolkits though!
Do you have google drivers installed? Once they are installed your device should be recognized and you can copy any of the fine roms that can be found here.

Ok I have what says is the latest Google usb drivers which was Aug 2015 downloaded. On my device I'm using I'm gonna transfers the drivers to my pc now, and attempt to install them. I hope this works and fixes my device. I sat in front of my pc yesterday for 7 hrs trying to fix this stupid phone.

the corrupt device message is only there because you have twrp and a stock kernel. flash a custom kernel.
It's fixed, everything is running as it should no boot loops or corrupt screen, now I gotta check to see if recovery is gone. I used wugs to flash stock 6.0.1

I used to have the corrupt message also, but it would go away and boot just fine. Started when I had TWRP. As someone mentioned, if this is a really annoyance, just flash a custom kernel . Though mine went away when I rooted with SuperSU (which patches the kernel I think)

I used wugs toolkit to flash back to complete stock it worked my device is running as normal, but when I power of the device and power it back on the corrupt message then disappears and boots right up. When I boot into boot loader mode and boot recovery it shows the green android robot laying down. After I flashed back to stock 6.0.1 it got rid of twrp and root but I'm still unlocked . The unlocked part I'm not worried about. In order to fix this do I have to 're root and flash twrp all over again or is there an easier way. I need step by step, on how to get rid of the corrupt message. Example, like when someone says flash img to me that's about as clear as mud.....

flash twrp then when you root, flash a custom kernel as well, that will get rid of the message.

I'm trying to get my brain working, lol my device is stock unrooted without twrp but the corrupt message still shows up I gotta get this fixxed. It's hard for me to understand what all I need to do. All I need is the corrupt message to go away and I'll be good. At start up it shows the corrupt message, but a few seconds later it goes away and it boots up normally.

i believe that your bootloader is unlocked, thats why its showing up on a non rooted n6. you can lock your bootloader(i wouldnt, you can have problems later) or you can flash twrp recovery, then a custom kernel, and you dont need to root it for that.

If I flash the kernel with twrp it's gotta be a zip? Is there anyway that you can link me to stock 6.0.1 kernel

a stock twrp flashable, then theres no zip version of it available. BUT twrp can also flash .img kernels as well. if you have the factory image available, you can unzip it and just flash the boot.img in twrp(or fastboot). but why the stock kernel?? if you just want stock, id recommend just fastboot flashing the boot.img from the factory image. boot.img is the kernel.

nope. the kernel is what connects the operating system(software) to the hardware and also serves as the devices main "brain"

just download the factory image, then grab the boot.img out of it. link to the 6.0.1 factory image https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/shamu-mmb29k-factory-9a76896b.tgz
