Test everything. And look for layout bugs more.

I will also test it later on today. I'm presently using your other ROM and I am quite pleased with it .
What is actually the difference between them? I got the impression both are based on cm10.1 with some KK additions?

Can anyone post simple screenshots please?
Thanks,
Marco Marinho

This ROM is compiled from edited source, with features from KitKat. The older one was cm10.1 made to look like KitKat with some of its features

Congrats and salutations! Gone beyond cooking and actually into development. Welcome aboard.
As I said, I am using cm10.2. Has bluetooth problem (partly better but not really well-behaved in cm10.1) but it does run much nicer than cm10.1. Also prefer its notifications features. Of course, sources you backport might gain some more speed and smoothness for your hybrid as well. As far as I got with cm11 experimentals, bluetooth turned on and off like in the old days. Found KitKat too dependent on Chromium which is armv7 so lets out our devices. So maybe your approach is the way to go. Are you daring to touch ART (OK, your ROMs are a work of art)??
What are you doing about selinux? Old recoveries will flash the ROM?
Fix camera default exposure? Have everyone eating out of your hand
All the best. Watching this one!

Just ported small features till now. selinux and all are from cm10.1. So will be compatible with old kernels too.
And camera exposure an things are secondary, as can use third party apps as of now.
And thanks for wishes

I tested the ROM and it seems having no problems but the cm10.1 ones. It looks just like a themed ROM. Good luck for next versions and I have a request . can you plz build a paranoid android ROM under 4.3.1? THX in advance

Does anyone know how to change Resources according to theme of apps?
Like Holo dark background is activated when an app uses holo.dark theme and Holo light background when an app uses holo.light theme
I need it ASAP as i'm gonna compile another test build

[ROM] Titan *Team Infinity*

For now it's just a stock rom with a few mods and root.
Eventually it'll expand and evolve into a full rom much like Trigger or Bionix was.
Status: still in alpha stage you guys can watch this just to pass the time
ETA: no idea. Using KJ3 base instead of JVT now so porting KJ3 might take some time.
Features:
SGS4G (KJ3) base
stock theme (pm me if you are a themer and want your theme in this rom)
Rooted zipaligned and busyboxed
Xcal's kernel/ bullet (undecided)
juwes ram script
1 lockscreen (for now)
EDT GPS fix
100% working wifi calling w/o bugs
Remember: I don't know much at building my own rom but I'm still learning.
Older beta:
Titan JVT BETA 0.1: https://sourceforge.net/projects/teaminfinity/files/Titan/Titan Beta v0.1-Untested-.zip/download

I'll might using an SGS4G base instead of an i9000 base for possibly a smoother and faster experience and 100% working wifi calling.

Difference between Cm, aokp, aosp, pac Roms?

Hii all,
I am confused between cm, aokp, aosp and pac type rom.
Developers make the rom but they dont explain the advantage/disadvantage of these type of rom.
Can someone explain me what are these, there differences and advantages of each rom?
Thanks Gaurenteed..

well cm means(cyanogen mod) they are devs share their sources and its good one.
aokp means(android open kang project) and also they are devs share their sources and sure its diffrent from cm.
aosp(android open source project) that type google it self make it and share their sources and its the clear android version without any changes just the original view that nexus devices have.
and pac means (paranoid +aopk + cm) that means this kind of roms have the whole those thing above together in one rom and its pretty awsome
and for me i used cm10.1 by biel and use scripts (this make the rom more smooth and more active ) so i used the script by slaid480 and it called(fly on mod) and everyghing work good for me
thats it
hope you understand

I have only used CM(7.2) till now...
But here is what i know/read and can sum up:
•AOSP-Best ones (performance wise). They are most stable since they are official. They are released only after extreme alpha and beta phases... but not as customizable as others.
•AOKP: They are modded versions of AOSP. Customizable. But I have read somewhere that they drain a lot of battery.
•CM: More fast. More Stable. They are the ones that give you unofficial releases of ICS, JB, etc.
•PAC: Its a hybrid. Cant guarantee battery life. But can be awesome if you put it to use in right way.
However, if you are new to flashing, I'd recommend CM 7.2 (further ones are not as stable as 7.2)... Rest can be used after you get hold of things.
But its up to you to decide.
Best Of Luck....
Plz hit thanks if you think this was helpful.

Everyone have different experience with roms...i have same battery life with aokp and cm10.1,but i use aokp as its faster and smoother..aosp is smoother than cm and aokp, but its not customizable.

In simple words,
1) CM offers customisation and control but not as handy as aokp.
2) AOSP roms are the ones that offer no customisation at all unlike cm, aokp etc. They just give you the pure Android experience like your stock rom.
3) Paranoid Android is famously known for bringing tablet like ui on phones with customisation & controls much similar to cm.
4) PAC rom is an integration of all, i.e., aokp, cm and paranoid android.

[ROM][New BL] Supernova : Jelly Bean with LG stock flavor

For the new bootloader!
The release of this ROM had been pending for so long, but its finally here
Thanks to pengus77 for his CM10 build, which acts as the base ROM for this!
What would we do without the penguins pengus77 and tonyp
There are lots of users who love the LG stock ICS look and feel, features like Quickmemo, LG launcher, keyboard, the light colored stock look compared to CM. But they miss features of Jelly bean, like Google now, expandable notifications, other features like DSP manager of CM, P-Droid, and other such features.
This ROM tries to bridge the gap between the two
Stock features (so far):
Themed to look like stock, using resources from stock ROM
LG launcher with its themes
Ported LG Quickmemo
Ported LG calculator
LG keyboard (can be enabled in settings). Thanks to Farsx!
LG ICS camera (thanks to feav!)
LG boot animation
LG sounds
Screenshots:
Known issues:
soft reboot on turning on airplane mode(Basically, it will take ~7-8 seconds and airplane mode will turn on). No issues turning off
Maybe a few minor theme colors
Pengus77's base CM10 ROM includes kowalski kernel 122. Recommended to flash the latest version after flashing the ROM.
Instructions for installation:
1. Wipe data, format /system
2. Flash ROM, gapps, latest kowalski kernel
3. Reboot
Download links:
ROM
Gapps
Kowalski kernel thread (Grab the latest one from pengus77 here!)
New version of LG UI 3.0 launcher (Thanks to @Kyrandialegend !)
Credits:
pengus77 for all his work, including his CM10 build, which acts as the base ROM here
tonyp
The Cyanogenmod team
Zdunex25 for letting me decompile his MIUI theme for learning and some parts of the theme
feav for his ICS camera mod
Farsx for his LG ICS keyboard port
trocopassu and Custom40 for all their testing and support. Thanks guys!
Jishnu Sur and Sreeprajay for their support
Just one more this time
Some say "He is Mario", some say"He is the savior" , but we all know, "He's called Rugglez"!
Reserved for you!
To me, LG UI is recognized by its blue statusbar hehe. Mod that and you have a fully LG look
Looks awesome! Gonna flash it soon - Tonight is the night
Thank you for this rom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Q] Cm11 or Omni Rom 4.4?

CM have about 25 million users worldwide, and now Cm11 is taking a huge step forward by using this new easy way to upgrade the smartphone system. Omni Rom 4.4 is a new project, with great and promising fectures and developers. What is the best way to go? They will be nearly the same?
For me there is only CM I`m a big fan since CM 9 ...but i think you should test both and make your own decision what works better for you ...
sorry for this ,but in the end it is subjective where your own preferences are ...

But omnirom is still in alpha mode with many issues pending to be solved.

There is only so much you can do, especially since you're running firmware intended for stronger devices, with dual and quad cores being the norm for ICS/JB nowadays

List of Roms and respective maintainer

Hello dear P880 users,
The list linked in this post, is a list of all compiled roms for our LG Optimus 4X - AKA P880 and their respective maintainers.
This list only has roms which were compiled (original development).
----
The document has the following information:
Branch (4.3, 4.4, etc..)
Rom Name
Development Status
Release Version
Last Updated
Maintainer username
Base
And the URL to the XDA post.
-----
The suggestion of compiling such list came from laufersteppenwolf, so buckets of flowers and chocolate boxes should go to him
Suggestions and whatever are welcome. Enjoy

Hi there,
Thx to @MidnightDevil, this thread is a good idea.
As am not involved as a dev, only reader and user (noob and try to learn) of the provided roms, i just have a question concerning PAC-Man, Carbon and Illusion ROMs:
Fluoxetine dissapeared of XDA and all his threads are actually closed, is he still maintaining those ROMs, or MULTIROM for Kitkat?
Well, his threads now state he is no longer able to maintain the roms.
Latest Omni update is 03/08. Also, you could add FlymeOS to wishlist, that really is a great rom.

Will do, I'll update the list tonight
@fozland, weren't the threads re-opened and he's back? Or I misunderstood it?

I've just checked, they are still all closed
Ohh man you made my dream come true! Ive been thinking about a thread like this for a loooooong time ago, BUT i dont really have time for a project like that alongside of my studies and other hobbies. Thanks so much! :good:
BTW, guys, anyone interested in TheROM (from p990) ? It is 4.3, though
It is closed source, but Tony granted me access to his sources. However, I had no time yet to work on it, as I have my final exams coming up, and I have too less spare time for tetsing...

oh yeeesss the jelly bean roms where so good on the 2x, i would love to see the penguins attack the 4x
The most confusing thing I find is blobs and patches, for things like video recording, screen recording, MHL etc. How about a column to say what blobs and patches are used, and whether EPRJ RIL is implemented?

@MidnightDevil,
Just find out that our device is "officially" maintained by the PAC Man team, updates can now be found in the download tab from:
http://www.pac-rom.com/#Home
I've checked on team carbon website (https://carbon-rom.com/) but unfortunately our device is not supported.
I also noticed that u can update beanstalk as the last built is was issued the 8th of March in 3 versions:
- CM based ROM
- P880-dev (grouper blobs)
- P880-dev (old blobs)
Hope that will help U to update your file
I'll update it during today.
Cheers
