Boot into recovery "Factory Reset" then "Format /system".

Install GApps that match your rom.
Now flash my Patch to run AT&T roms on T-mobile Notes (v4.0).
From the AROMA installer please select the kernel and fixes you want.

This is awesome. The video fix is what drew my to flashing the CM 11 Rom by Jamie, and after flashing the only problem I seem to have come across is that the battery % in the status bar ( top right ) isn't functioning, it reads as 100% all the time. I installed a battery saver app and it is coming with an incorrect reading of 38% constantly ( I know this because I began the flashing process with 100% battery and it would not have dropped to 38% within half an hour). If there is any fix for this, that would make this rom absolutely perfect.

I have read in the forums that a few other people have had the battery problem. I think it's in the ROM, not the patch. I asked Jamie about it, but I don't know of a fix. I'm running the p11 cm build with no issues.

Oh, awesome. I guess I'll just flash that instead. Any idea if I have to completely reformat again, or if I can just flash p11? Would I come up with any significant issues?

I would clean flash. Dirty flashing almost always leads to problems.

this is awesome! ima give the cynogenmod 11 a shot....I've tried a lot of different roms and always get random reboots and a few FC's....if cm11 seems to be working good then ima try that out...i'm stuck on 4.0.4 skeleton key beta 1 I do love that rom because I have NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER...but always willing to flash new roms and test them out...p0llution which one would you recommend to flash? thanks in advance : )
---------- Post added at 07:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:43 PM ----------
UPDATE: so I clicked on cynogenmod 11 and Jamie updated the rom to p12...im give that one a shot...also gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2-20131215-signed.zip is what i'm going to flash it with...hopefully i'm flashing it with the correct files...if not I always do a backup of my current rom...wish me luck fellas!!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I experienced an issue with the battery not reporting the right percentage on cm11 p12. I read in the forums that a few others are having the issue. If you get this problem I would flash p11. P11 is what I am running, and it has been smooth as butter with no issues.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm grateful that I can give back to the community that has provided me with such enjoyment for so many years.
I will have to give the new liquidsmooth a try. I have been running cm11 p11 with very few crashes ever since I made the patch. I'm always up for new ROM flashes though =)
Thanks again for the feedback.

Try beanstalk 12-27 built in the i717 forum from patch its freakin awesome!! No reboots since I installed it going on 2 days now and no FCS either...I'm glad these ROMs are getting better and better thanks to all the devs for their hard work and time they put for us to flash away... ????????

Everything that I try works fine.
Thanks Polluti0n, you have really opened things up for us on the tmo side.

Thanks guys!
I'm working on version 3 of the patch now. I am trying to incorporate some fixes (workarounds) to get video recording working on all roms for us.
Will post it in op once I get everything working the way I want
Thanks.
-Polluti0n

Version 3
Just linked version 3 in the OP.
The only change is that video recording and playback should work on any rom now!
If you guys have already setup a rom with my patch, don't worry. You don't need to start all over. Just flash ONLY the new patch in recovery and you should get video working.
As always, please leave feedback.
Thanks
-Polluti0n

Thank you!
Thank you! This is a brilliant idea and saves everyone a ton of work for developing for this phone. This opens up the options for us and allows me to use a rom that works great. Thanks again!

Hey Polluti0n,
So far the patch v3 is running super smooth on CM 11. How ever when I tried to under clock it is stays at full throttle 1890. I tried to get a logcat but alogcat is not showing any processes at all. I'm not sure but they might not have updated alogcat to work with kitkat. Also it doesn't seem to allow Duel Channel only H+ data not really a big deal since that is only a slight data speed boost.

I believe both of the issues you are describing are attributed to the PAC kernel that the patch is using. I have been researching how to compile the UBER kernel for our tmo notes, but still haven't figured it out.
In the next version of the patch I would like to incorporate the AROMA installer, the CM kernel, and a working flash player. With the AROMA installer the user could pick which kernel they would like to install, and what patches they want to enable. No ETA on when I will get this done though. Been super busy lately.
Also if you would like me to I could make you a flashable zip of the CM kernel. This would disable overclocking, but it may run more stable. Let me know
Thanks
-Polluti0n
P.S. if anyone has any experience with compiling kernels or writing AROMA script, hit me up.

No need for all the trouble. I love having my phone overclocked. I think I can use the governors to achieve better battery life just as well as underclocking. I'm sure you time would be better spent. The truth is this breaths life back on our phone. Once again giving us the same ROMS as the AT&T version. Here's to you! Keep up the good work.

Its just the contact thing that google decided to stop. Contact syncing. I noticed on most of the 2.3.3 roms they got it figured out. Im sure it will come with time.

Thanks for the offer but I'd rather you spend the money or your wife or kids. My job takes care of any funding..shoot me a private message so I can ask a couple more questions; shouldn't be too hard to figure this out
I posted thsi in the RAV rom thread as well.. but here it is again as its applicable to you too.
it is my first time trying out these roms and I have tried a few today, getting the hang of it now and can report that this rom as well as the one in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1065392
works best on my device.
All the others MIUI, nexus Sense etc etc all have a lot of errors popping up on market and camera etc. I was looking for a rooted rom on 2.3.4.
I just had one question. There are a lot of roms here that have VOODOO preloaded, but yours doesnt. I liked the functions on VOODOO with all the amplifier settings and colour tint adjustment that people are talking about since 2.3.3.
Do you plan to put that on here? I downloaded the application from market but it reports the kernel is not supported.
If not, is it already tweaked with the tint and amp settings that the voodoo app does?
Also, this may be a noob question. How do I change the fonts on my device. Can I choose any font and just apply it through a setting somewhere?
Dumb question
Would this ROM work with the Sprint Nexus S 4G CDMA or is this only for GSM? I noticed it said it didn't have a radio included so I wasn't sure.

This is only for GSM...to answer your question, yes, the rom would flash but then your phone wouldn't work. Don't flash this build on your NS4G.
*To help you out...you can either send me a system dump or wait until I get my hands on a buddy of mine's phone to build you one*

super excited about this!!! not sure if i want to move on it yet because i'm really worried about stability... i sbf'd my boyfriend's phone back to froyo stock and it STILL reboots and i'm getting tired of it. considering how this is the first real gingerbread rom that i've found i'm willing to follow it and see how it goes. i'll probably break down in a couple days here and install it anyway... basically... THANK YOU!!
Since I can't tell from the description or the screenshots, is this rom blur-based or aosp-based?

i've heard of Liberty GB but after doing a lot of research i kind of don't want to use it.. that and i can't really find liberty gb .5 online and they say you have to buy the app or whatever and i've already paid for the bootstrap for Dx and D2 for my boyfriends phone and... well maybe i just gave up because i became very frustrated on what i couldn't find after like a week of straight looking. but i think he'd be interested in ZombieStomped. sounds epic. could you link it? along with ApeX if you don't mind just in case i can't find it myself ty though for the tip!!
[edit] um.. just fyi i'm looking for a blurless build, i'm assuming any rom i could download will also be bloat free... but there shall be no blur on any phone i control. xD

i've heard of Liberty GB but after doing a lot of research i kind of don't want to use it.. that and i can't really find liberty gb .5 online and they say you have to buy the app or whatever and i've already paid for the bootstrap for Dx and D2 for my boyfriends phone and... well maybe i just gave up because i became very frustrated on what i couldn't find after like a week of straight looking. but i think he'd be interested in ZombieStomped. sounds epic. could you link it? along with ApeX if you don't mind just in case i can't find it myself ty though for the tip!!
[edit] um.. just fyi i'm looking for a blurless build, i'm assuming any rom i could download will also be bloat free... but there shall be no blur on any phone i control. xD

Everyone has heard of them, however they are by well-established developers. I was happy that someone is taking time to get development going again. We have maybe 3 good developers left for the droid x. That is why I am happy for another.

This is a really fast ICS rom, probably the fastest I've used.
This Rom takes a while to start on first boot in general, and slightly longer than you'd think on start-up in general. Don't freak out If it stays on the Exhibit screen for a bit.
Edit: I made a typo, If you DL'd 'V4' It's the same as right now, I just made a typo in the forum topic -_-

I definitely agree that this is the fastest ROM, possibly snappier than stock.
My one qualm with it is almost any pop up (GoSMS popup, the menu in the play store, etc) will pop up, then slowly grow for the next few seconds, making it hard to tap what I wanted to. Any idea how to fix this?

I had this same issue, it needs to be added to the OP. Go to developer options and disable window animation scale.
I would also like to report that it's not just the first boot that takes awhile, at least for me. Each boot is significantly longer than on Core2Idiot's CM9 build, but it's definitely bearable.
Other than that, this is an amazingly snappy rom, no overclocking needed. Definitely the fastest this side of android 4.0, but not sure if it beats RebelROM.

I'll change that, I think the creator just set the default window animation speed to be that way but I agree it is annoying

Great work on this Rom. My current daily driver, and my favorite out of your Roms. Didn't enjoy the Galaxy S theme of RemICS-JB as much as I thought I would, and Ehendroix theme is just not good looking to me. Of course those are just aesthetics and the Roms themselves are solid, did not have the issues others are reporting. Keep up the work and maybe we will see this Rom end up JB based instead of ICS. Thanks

OP updated, rebuild based on the newer Galaxy S+ version; It still looks pretty much the same.
The boot times are still long, but it is slightly speedier than before which is saying a lot
Window scale speed is still sloooow, disable it since I think it's meant to be that way by default at this point anyhow.
Edit: I've been playing around with this a bit, It really is in my opinion the fastest ICS rom, It's perfect for games

We can just flash it over the last build right? Or not because you built it from a different phone?
Also, it's definitely the fastest ics rom, I'd even say it's the fastest out of all of the 4.0+ roms.

| About Odyssey: |
Odyssey is a simple clean and smooth rom with the basic features but none of the over the top extras.I feel as though a lot of custom roms take it to far and have so much to them that we can't use it all. We all love extras but there is a line that a lot of custom roms cross that seem to make them a little less user friendly. So we've created Odyssey. We will of course add lots more to this rom based on demand from users But all the while continuing down the path of simplicity. I plan on rapid releases and full support for this . I hope you all enjoy it..

Looks very good and promising. Can you recommend a kernel that will work with this ROM, that has slide2wake and slide2lock module? I use Touch Control and it did not work with this ROM. Other than that, it's very slick. Thanks.
Love the boot animation, by the way.

Many people dont give a proper answer when asked..
If u ask.me ill go for bricked kernel by showp
The best kernel with swipe to wake as he himself is the founder and many people have reported the issue of hiccups like in 4.3 while using keyboard is not seen..
So thumps up for that kernel
And for thread owner its not a spam..
I was just aking any issues with it..
As well i would recommend what things broke..i know u mentioned cm issues..
Well clearly u should mention..no root available by default cause many users like me need out of the box root available.. Cause apps like filemanager, cereberus need it compulsory..
If u know what i mean..
Im just trying to say plz mention that.

Yes I've noticed over the few years I've been reading this board, some people choose to be snarky instead of actually providing help.
I asked the ROM dev for a kernel recommendation. I don't think that was out of line or spam.
In any case, thank you sid21. I'll give bricked kernel a look. For now, I'm back to CM stable, but I'll definitely give this ROM a go this weekend when I have some free time.

Buddy just chill..
Why you getting so hyper??
I was just stating that im not spamming instead asking for any major bugs seen in 4.3 as reported in other custom roms like root and etc..
Well then he gave my answer that this rom doesnt have root from out of the box..
So i thought its important that he put up in the op thread..
And i was helping about the kernel related thing to a member..as far no kernel is not able to resolve the stuttering held with google keyboard on 4.3..
Just showp did that..so i was recommending it to him..instead yelling at him that go find any and test..now thats not spamming
But people who just yell are spamming instead of being rude and not helping..

Anyone tried CM 10.2 (Android 4.3) yet?

So it looks like Cyanogenmod 10.2 was released early this morning as a nightly. It's based on Android 4.3, which was released for the Nexus devices a few weeks ago I think.
I've been pretty happy with the nightly version of 10.1 I've had on my phone for a couple of weeks now, but I think I might backup my phone and see whether the latest version is worth keeping.
Anyone tried it already and have any comments?
Edit: Tried it, can't use it yet. Keyboard problems, freezing. Oh well.
Been running for about 4 hours at this point, all apps restored.
Had one blue screen reboot on screen wake.
First impression is that it is very smooth. Focal force closes so can't try that.
Camera works but is not stable.
Definitely a beta but off to a good start for the first 10.2. But I can't live with random reboots so back to 10.1-M3 for now.
10.2 has different vold configs
In the 10.1.2 nightlies I was able to manually edit /syste/etc/vold.fstab to swap internal and external sd-card.
This has changed under JB 4.3 and CM 10.2.x. Details are provided here:
http://source.android.com/devices/tech/storage/index.html
[ UPDATE ] Root also works differntly in JB 4.3, so that needs to be sorted as well.

I never restore apps when testing these cause it can cause problems. Did you use Titanium to restore the apps?
No. Just letting the restore function do it from the market.
I installed the nightlies of 8-16-13 and so far (no jinx) hasn't gave me any problems...ofcourse instagram video n pics don't work but other then that its good..so 10.2 cm is based on 4.3? I didn't see it in the tmo cm page...can u share a link if possible?

Yes, it is 4.3.
The test is to see if you can run for several days with no unexpected restarts. If you are able to do that , then be sure and post and tell others about it because that has been the problem for many months now.
All CyanogenMod downloads are always available at http://get.cm
Just scroll down to quincytmo on the left, then choose nightly on top left.
Cool...found it...now there's a newer nightly for 10.1 can I just flash the zip without restarting anythin? Thnx...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T879 using xda premium
If you are running a 10.1 you can just run your cm updater and chosen the new 10.1 nightly.
If you go from 10.1 to 10.2, you should do a typical new ROM procedure. A backup, then factory reset, then flash the new ROM, then the 2013-8-13 gapps, then wipe dalvik and cache, then finally reboot.
I put the boot from the quincytmo 10.2 into the Pacman 4.3 alpha zip. Also using PA 4.3 gapps. Will let you know how it goes.
Been using it for almost 3days. Works great and smooth. At first, youtube seems to crash always, gps doesn't work and i can't download and even update my apps in playstore. (what i did is that reinstall youtube, and sign out my google acct. and then sign in it again to fix playstore and dunno how GPS was fixed . Wiping cache & dalvic cache and rebooting ma phone helped. And now everything's going and works so smooth! N i love it.
Btw focal doesn't work at all. Dunno how to fix it. Always crashes.
Other than that.. Still the best )

You'll have to use TWRP for ATT. Also, flash the T-Mobile radio too. This isn't supported for T-Mobile so backup and flash at your own risk.

Honestly, all I'm doing is swapping files around with winrar. There has to be a compatible boot image though. Unfortunately, without a T-Mobile official JellyBean update, I don't think we can use ATT touchwiz JB roms. A shame as I installed Padawan JB on my friend's i717 and it was killer.
Really though, there are already enough 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 roms to keep me occupied for the time being. I've sort of shyed away from the 4.2 roms as of late and have been just playing with the very stable 4.1 setups as I don't want my phone rebooting on me while I'm at a party or want to have my camera instantly available.
Well to know how to swap files id be lost! I used to have a quincyatt and yeah padawan was really good but 4g speeds on tmobile network were horrible...yeah there are lots of roms but the more we get the more excited we get...

Some of you may read the ATT Note forum. Over there the member ~SoulTaker~ has been compiling Cyanogenmod 10.2 on his own for those users. Because Cyanogenmod has not been creating 10.2 nightlies for the Note.
I have a compile and upload routine setup to produce UNOFFICIAL 10.2 nightlies for the Tmobile note if you want to try them. all are working OK so far, they are the same as what we would be getting from the Cyanogenmod build servers if they were building nightlies for us. All the standard warnings apply.
Here is the link to my google drive folder with the files. Click on the file you want, you will get an error because it can't preview, then look for the download arrow on the bottom right of the screen, click that.
Changelog is the regular 10.2 changelog (when it is up) and look between the date of the last file and the newest. http://10.2.cmxlog.com/?device=quincytmo
NOTE** I am just generating the zip file from Cyanogenmods github, not creating anything. So can't help you if you want a feature or fix or something.
