I saw the S4 ROM`s available for Micro-max mobile as a custom ROM.. so just want to try my I9000 can be update to firmware since Samsung is stopped the original firmware update.
currently, I am using MIUI ROM custom on I9000.. it`s good & I am happy..but looking for Samsung new firmware..

Those are not ROM ports mate , it's just about theming some core apps like a Touchwiz ( SGS 4 ) rom. You can find such several ports in the development section.

What you're seeing is s4-look ROMs for s1, not actual s4 ROMs that you can flash on an s1.
That's a sure fire way to brick your phone..

Yes.... he could use it, only for 5 seconds during flashing, and then never again, neither phone nor rom.

Not even 5 seconds. I think Odin would fail almost immediately.
The Micromax have rom ports that (quite accurately) resemble the S4 because they take stock 4.2.x roms and theme/mod them. The S doesn't have this option

[Q] [PORT] s2 ics for i9001

Is it possible to port sgs2 ics official softwere on our i9001? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521974
I think it's not, or at least too hard to port it. Thats because both phones have complitly different hardware
the sgs2 rom is very close with the one from sgs+ and the ics rom is out of our league. if you want you can install the value pack which is the closest to s2 with the touchwiz 4 or you can try a custom rom with a s2 theme
Actually No..!
it is totally not feasible.
Ports are more easy on msm7k similarities..

If you want a touchwiz ROM, I personally recommend Sweet ROM v4
However, if you're interested in a CM-based ROM (but u will lose all Spen functionality and most of Samsung mods), I suggest ParanoidAndroid by Utacka
Best regards..

Did you full wipe before flashing? I haven't ever experienced a laggy ROM. Maybe I've been lucky
If you like TW, Burt and Team Union are both excellent. Check the Galaxy Note ROMS-db, you'll find a good selection there.

[Q] HELP!Porting rom from Galaxy mini to Galaxy mini SGH-T499

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to port a Android 4.0 rom from the Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 to the Galaxy Mini SGH-T499(Also known as the Samsung Galaxy Dart). I am using a Gingerbread build for the Galaxy Dart as a base rom. I flash it but it just goes to the boot screen and stops. I don't know if it was possible but I tried to port the Android 4.0 rom anyway. At this piont I don't care because development for the Samsung Galaxy Mini SGH-T499 has seem to stop. I'm a noob when it comes to porting so if anyone can make a Jellybean or ICS rom for it please do so. At the moment it just has 2.3.6 while all the other galaxy mini varients have 4.x builds. You can find the builds and source at MADteam.co. Please help with the development, or help me with my porting issues.
Device is listed under Samsung SGH-T499 (Galaxy Mini/Dart)

No, it is posibble, most mini roms were ports from the galaxy 5 player and galaxy y. I've seen a post on MADTeam where a man had ported miui to the Samsung Galaxy Dart using a Galaxy Mini rom which was ported from the Galaxy S I9000. I just want to know if i could port an android 4.0 rom using a gingerbread rom as a base?

[Q] Rom Suggestions Samsung Galaxy S4 Active AT&T

Hi, I would like some ROM help. I would like to put a another ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active AT&T SGH-I537. I need suggestions and then a guide on how to install it. I would like the rom to be on lollipop and stable (no crashes, bugs, or risk of not working). Thanks!

There's only a deodexed version of the stock lollipop rom here. It might be possible to port touchwiz based roms for the regular Galaxy S4 but AFAIK flashfire can't install AOSP based roms on our phone yet.
Oops almost forgot, Goldeneye Rom might be working for our phone too, honestly I haven't looked at that thread in a while so I don't know where that rom stands as far as stability, functionality, etc.
