[ROM] [4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 - Gen9 Android Development

Hi, if anyone would like to run a 4.4.4 Google OS on a Archos G9 80S device (and currently basically verified only with this), download and extract this file:
02_11_2014-13_26_35
Installation (tested only with linux) :
- reboot into SDE menu and under "Format System" perform a "Reset Android & Storage" to clear all data of previous installations (this is really important!).
- reboot into SDE menu and under Developer Edition Menu -> "Export Data Partition"
- mount this usb drive
Code:
sudo mkdir <Mount_Path>/local
sudo cp archos.ext4.update <Mount_Path>/local/archos.ext4
sudo sync
sudo umount <Mount_Path>
- wait until the unmount process is done
- reboot into SDE menu and under Developer Edition Mernu , Flash Kernel and Initramfs : copy zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo on the new driver that appears on desktop/laptop
- Wait for reboot your devices : after reboot you can see Android prepares the system for a while .....be patient !

Adapt external storage to 4.4 definition
KSM (Kernel samepage merging) support. (Enable it in CM performance options).

WLAN MAC address taken from device. Until now in my releases, the MAC address where the same for all devices. (gave some conflicts, when two devices are used in parallel).
(Usual, but big big) CM-11 changes (see included Changelog for details).
------------ since 22_12_2013-20_11_55 -------------
Initial release.
Issues:
HDMI scaling errors
No "H" model support (!)
GPS not reliable (as usual for every release....) -> After complete new system ("Reset Android & Storage") the GPS is working very good. Subsequent boots later it gets worse at my device(s):
My Workaround: Go into Settings->Apps->All->Google Service Framework and delete data and cache. Then reboot and GPS should e working. Also I get sufficient results with the GPS Toolbox App.
...to be done...

Great work! The rom seems to be pretty fast and i also very apreciate the deep sleep settings. I also found one bug, my Google calendar doesnt sync. Contacts and Gmail are fine. Can anyone confirm this or does your calendar work! I also have another question. Is it possible to add further screens in the default launcher?
Anyway great job and move on!

My calendar also doesn't work. You can add screen to launcher by dragging items to the right border of last screen.

I was waiting for this, KitKat is said to run much better on 512MB-devices. Too bad I just smashed my G9 in the trash when it was refusing to charge and not turning on again. Would have loved to try this ROM.

Haven't used or tried so far ... I'll have a look.

The current setup of mounting external sdcards is not done in the last release.
I managed to adapt the needed changes from the other CM11.0 builds for our setup. But in gallery and other applications, there are some bugs left. (e.g. missing permissions for the google video player (wtf? - THIS application should have all needed permissions already *confused*)). Maybe we should like to wait a little bit once the CM development is nearly done?

Everything works fine on the KFire2 with the latest build, cm-11.0 is at milestone 2, I haven't found any bugs.
Nevermind, I see you have it done already.

Hi!
Thanks for the hint with the selinux. I added some more of the files and configuration from the otter but it doesn't seem to work
I uploaded all my changes, feel free to have a look at it....
In the mean time, can you please provide a logcat logfile where you:
Boot up the device
Open Gallery
Open a video file with Google Video Player
I really would like to know, why no thumbnails are generated and why the google video player can't play files.

I installed Camera MX from the play store and made it the default, google video player works fine now. The camera2 app still force closes, below is the log. I changed the external sd-card mounts using your files and have been testing all day, other than the camera2 all is fantastic.

I installed Camera MX from the play store and made it the default, google video player works fine now. The camera2 app still force closes, below is the log. I changed the external sd-card mounts using your files and have been testing all day, other than the camera2 all is fantastic.
Link to Camera MX --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magix.camera_mx&hl=en

Thanks for the hints and the logs. I will try that. Does GPS work?
Camera2 is fixed due this patch: Camera2: More thorough compatibility fixes and it is merged. So this works (here).

[Q] Lagfix /data=ext4 results in Fatal Exception in System Process, help appreciated

Update 27 novmber 2010:
Problem solved. I started over again and flashed
Build: FROYO.XWJP6,
Band: I9000XXJPM
followed by a factory reset.
Afterwards i flashed YA-OK kernel and activated NO RFS a=ext4 lagfix and all is well.
A few weeks ago, i flashed to JPA following Samfirmware's instructions:
first I9000XWJM8 with RE-Partition and 512.pit. Than I9000XWJPA without RE-Partion using 803.pit.
Everything ran fine, and i installed the Voodoo Lagfix. After installing Voodoo, i noticed my phone tends to throw one or two three-short-buzz series between the Big onscreen S and the home screen appearing. I never payed much attention, but recently i flashed the YA-OK kernel and activated the NO RFS all=ext4 lagfix. It was buzzing Galore, i had to disable the lagfix. Right now, i have the Voodoo Lagfix enabled (via CWM), and i notice the same behaviour is back. So, my phone starts acting weird when the /data partition is converted to ext4.
Strange enough, when i clear battery stats through CWM, the next boot is clean without buzzes. But thats only one time, next boots buzz again. Sometimes one series of 3 buzzes, sometimes up to 5 series .
I have examined /data/log/dumpstate_sys_error.log , and i find the following exception(s). Unfortunately i cant find threadid=20 : nor what "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot broadcast before boot completed" relates to. I'm completely puzzled why the problems appear as soon as i install a /data=ext4 lagfix, and disappear when i remove the lagfix and return to RFS.
Any clues appreciated. (PS i could start over by flashing the stock Roms but i'd like to find out whats causing this).
BTW, once the homescreen finally appears, the phone runs fine and keeps running fine.

has anybody else this issue?
I've wipeed dalvik cache, cache partition.
still the same problem.
After factory reset and adding a new account I get the same exception during account setup ("E-Mail" wurde beendet).
thanks in advanced.

Maybe one more info:
After upgrade from c-o-m's 10.2.1-unofficial ROM to c-o-m's "CM10.2 P7310 p5wifi..." pre-september version, there wasn't this issue!
but on the image isn't available anymore

[ROM][4.4][UNOFFICIAL] CM11 without graphics

Hey there,
It is time to publish my CM11 tree for our Razr I phones.
There is nothing working so far.
It's a stock CM11 tree with integrated kernel from oxavelar (https://github.com/oxavelar/XT890-Kernel-Gamma), many things taken from hazou (https://github.com/HazouPH/android_device_motorola_smi) and surfaceflinger patches from steven676 (https://gist.github.com/steven676/7276901).
Recovery PHILZ 6.14.2 (CWM v6.0.4.7) should be working fine, although mount paths are not setup really well (vold mounts missing, aromafm can't automount). There might also be some confusion around the SD card paths, so I really recommend not to use it for wiping and backing up any SD related stuff. As recovery does work fine for installing and backing up, I post a fastboot flashable recovery.img. Note: This is really not well tested by me!
Additional Warning: You may lose your data on INTERNAL SD when you wipe DATA!
To use aromafm, push the supplied aromafm.zip to /external_sd/clockworkmod/aromafm/aromafm.zip using adb in recovery or your running rom (then use the stock path for external SD. Internal should also work but I prefer not to use that)
You can find recovery here: http://android.matthias-larisch.de/razr-i/recovery/
Device tree is here: https://github.com/NerdyProjects/android_device_motorola_smi
More Github links to other forked projects will follow shortly, there are more changes.

Graphics is therefore not working. I also looked into the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 porting effort and they seemed to not have any problem with the GFX at this stage. They have SGX544, though. Any ideas? Does also not work without surfaceflinger patches (Open-GL ES1.1 fallback). The ValidateWindowConfigFormat errors are the problems, I think.
Hello why are you trying to do what people are already doing?
It would be better if you try to work with hazou:

Actually this is the KitKat ROM whereas that's the Jelly Bean one.

You are going to be more lucky looking at the patches from the galaxy nexus since we share the same gpu.

Jep, I thought I did. I really have to post the rest of the code, it's a bit complicated as I did not use the repo tool for most... Hope to make it this evening.
Patches applied to surfaceflinger:
Workaroung Bug XZ, pbuffer disable, egl2 disable, try-disabling-some-features-before-falling-back-to-egl1.

As I see we should not encounter BUG 10194508 as the disabled feature does not show up in the capability list. I have to say that I never did anything with OpenGL except some very basic vertice programming in Delphi when I was a kid. Did never tinker with any of those error messages above.
Code:
BOARD_EGL_WORKAROUND_BUG_10194508 := true
TARGET_DISABLE_SURFACEFLINGER_PBUFFERS := true
#TARGET_DISABLE_SURFACEFLINGER_GLES2 := true
may be a bit more interesting as it gives us:

Have a look at this for gdb debugging on crashed services on start up.

Yeah, I already know about android debugging. Thanks anyway
Problem is, that gdbserver segfaults when running surfaceflinger. Could be too easy else, right?

Please give me another day for the remaining sources - I know you really would like to compile this yourself. I will have another two hours tomorrow morning and hope to get it sorted out then.
That's it for today.
Edit:
BTW it is very nice to live without a smartphone a few days - but I soon need to have it working again (Razr I is my primary and only one). As I don't see me getting anyway here, I will soon go back to JB. Should not be more than a month until we see official 4.4 - those libs should all work more or less out of the box in CM11 I think/hope.
Take your time, I am interested, but won't be able to build in the next couple of weeks, I think so I don't mind if it is tomorrow or next month. Waiting more or less for official kitkat, to get started with cm11. In the mean time getting audio ready, because that will be one thing that we need to build/compile our self without much help from moto/Intel and I can do that in cm10.1.

MSMFB_METADATA_GET defined in msm_mdp.h but our framebuffer does not support it.
though i havnt fixed it yet but atleast got an idea
Hi sooorajjj, it's nice that you're trying to port KitKat for your L3 (and such an effort is not to be belittled in any matter, though some may disagree), but I think your device already has its section on XDA. Other developers working on a ROM for your device might have already faced the same problem so that should be your starting point.
Good luck!
Update 4.4.1
@Hazou
Hey guys, i just saw on web site (androidpit.com.br) one person get's beta version 4.4.1 for xt 890
i'm trying to talk with him.. but i need to know whats exactly y'all need for everything works
Is the "NDA" enough of an answer, I don't think he will given something.

^^^this was right befor the phone shut off^^^^^^
Need some more info, man.
What ROMs did you try to install?
Are you currently on a stock ROM? Or a custom? Or still on the original stock set up?
Rooted?
Unlocked?
Firmware running?
What custom recovery do you have installed?
You have multiple errors, but it will be hard (at least for me) to ascertain what the problem is without more information....

I forgot to filter the log ,sorry...
And when I am building,it always showed that: The API version is out of date, use Xlint to recomplie(In fact I am a Chinese and the massage is in Chinese,I translate it you to understand it),but the JDK version is 1.6.0.33,it is suitable to build kitkat, right?
I hope you answer,please.
