Glance showing wrong number of notifications - Pebble

The pebble forums are horrible, so I thought i'd post here.
My Glance app is showing 5 notifications for text messages at all times. Any way to reset this?
And while I'm at it...
Notification Center sometimes reboots my pebble when trying to clear a notification and go back to Glance. Is this just a bug?

For Glance, you can do one of two things. Search through your history for unread text messages (I had to use the stock app), or set "Unread SMS Count from Tasker/Int..." to on.
I don't know anything about notification center. The fact that it doesn't display the full message keeps me from using it.

Thanks! I'll try the Tasker trick. I like notifications center bc it allows me to dismiss notifications on my phone. Is the any other way to achieve this?

[Q] Disable Screen On When Notification Happens?

I can't seem to figure out why my screen is turning on after I get a text message or other kind of notification. It goes off fairly quickly, but I would like it to just not come on at all automatically. I have BLED installed anyway (although I don't think it's working right now, maybe because of this screen on thing).
So, can anyone tell me how to disable the screen on when a text/notification comes through? I've looked through settings. I'm not a newbie so I can understand any kind of talk, or should be able to.
Thanks!
Goto your messaging app.
Menu - Settings - untick the Notification

That's just notifications in the status bar.

LED for notification

My wife just got a Droid 4 yesterday (5 Android device family!) and she is saying that the LED is not lighting when I text her. I am not familiar with Motorola phones. Does it have an LED, and does it need to be turned on in settings for notifications?

Of course it`s have LED - left upper corner, it`s not so big, but working just fine for me (SMS messages, e-mail, calendar notifications, etc...)
I never saw any special settings for notifications in general in the system, but you can go to the stock messaging application and see how you can change the style of notification.
Plus you can try Handcent SMS application from Google Play and see how it goes.

Is her screen usually on or off? The LED only lights when the screen is off.

Screen on notification

Hi all,
I've searched this forum over and over but can't seem to find anything.
Just wondering if its possible for the screen to wake up when a new notification arrives? I sit my phone up at an angle facing me at work whilst charging and keep missing messages.
Surely there's a way? It's a bit nuts it isn't default.
Cheers.
go to messages settings notification display message on screen
Where's the Notification setting? I don't see them in Setting menu

That appears to only be a "sent" or "send failure" comfirmation. It doesn't display a new received message. I don't see that option.
I am using this app notify me. After installing it, go to accessibility and turn it on and off 2 times. Should work

This app also works really well and you can choose which apps you want the screen to light up for

[Q] Whats App Multiple Notifications

I am using HTC one from 2-3 days and I have noticed that what app notification does not show multiple messages in the drop down bar. I shows 2 messages or more . Whereas I am switching from Samsung galaxy s3 and note 2 and it displayed more than 1 message. Is it to do with the samsung operating system or the whats app messenger version ?? It really helps to read multiple messages without opening whats app.
maybe it because stupid battery save mode in notification bar. disable it by long press on it.

Have you tried expanded notification .... swiping notification bar with two fingers
You an pinch the notification to expand. Or you can disable the battery saver notification if your rooted.

I think expanding notifications are a part of Android 4.2.. Just a couple of weeks and we'll get our update..

thoughts on Pienand OneUI

I don't know about others, bit the whole experience just feels heavier than before. Can't see any benefit except changes IN UI that don't seem to provide benefits.
The verdict must be after final beta update.
i really like it.. i like the phone and message app better.. i can set custom ringtones and text message notifications for each contact. the night mode is a god send!!
i really havent had any issues with it so far.
Single hand usability is so much improved now

Where do you set individual contact's text message notifications? I see the "Custom notifications" in the message thread, but that's for the message thread not the contact. If you delete that thread and get a new message it'll revert to the default SMS notification sound.
I remember seeing something about pop up notifications or something, whereby one could select certain apps that would have different notifications but cant for the life of me find that menu or setting. It wasn't edge lightning either.

EDIT....misread i will check and see if mine does that
My new favorite feature of 9.0... actually it's probably OneUI that brings it, is the on-demand screen rotation. If you have the rotation locked, and you flip the phone from portrait to landscape and vice versa, you get a button on the corner of the navigation bar that manually flips the screen when you press it.

Yeah but I chose gestures and don't get this option. It would be cooler if it worked with gestures and nav bar
