NOTE 2: It SHOULD work with all Xperia Firmware-Based ROMs, not so sure about AOSP roms as I have a lock bootloader and therefore I cannot try them out. Please do not constantly ask if it will work for a specific rom, Try before you ask.
NOTE 3: PLEASE! FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY, MAKE A NAND BACKUP FOR YOUR ROM! I WILL NOT BE GIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO UNINSTALL.
NOTE 4: This mod will work for Locked/Unlocked Bootloaders as long as you have a custom recovery.
NOTE 5: The speaker's audio quality becomes worse as you increase volume, this is because our speaker cannot output good audio quality at loud volumes.It is impossible to keep audio quality and loud volume because of out hardware. The HTC One has a dedicated Amp inside it's chipset which amplifies audio better with more sound, that is why new HTC phones can have very loud speaker volume with good speaker audio quality.
NOTE 6: Sometimes, if you play music, it could take a few seconds to let Sound Enhancements load your settings (This is normal)
NOTE 7: If you are on another device and is using Xperia Z version (The updated version of this soundmod and not PureXAudioLITE) Don't be mistaken that all features work, because it just won't. My audio mod is specifically made for the APQ8064 chipset and WCD9310 DAC (MPQ8064 audio too) the features will not ALL work because every device has different hardware/software, even if it install fine, not all features will work. Don't get confused.
NOTE 8: I advise everyone to go onto XZDualRecovery as it's the only recovery (As I am aware of) which has native init.d installed directly in it's ramdisk just so you can use the init.d scripts in my mod. (Only applies to locked bootloaders)
NOTE 9: If you are having audio skipping issues, make sure that you exclude: Walkman (If you have 2 Walkman apps, select the second one), PureXAudio Engine and MusicFX in STAMINA Mode so that the phone will not try and make it inactive. If you have Skipping in any other music player, add that in the exclude list of Stamina mode.
NOTE 10: Hearing impairment is caused by volumes higher then 85dB as stated in Wiki "If one is exposed to loud sound (including music) at high levels or for extended durations (85 dB A or greater), then hearing impairment will occur." If you feel uncomfortable when hearing music, I strongly advise you to either turn down the volume or have a rest.

NOTE12: Since I sold my Xperia Z today, This version (V30) will be the last version to Android 4.4.4, starting for the next version, this mod will need the tester to test the compatibility and it would be taking a long time to each version releases. Thanks for the support to all of you

Did you wipe cache and davik cache before flashing ? I don't have any problem until now, try to check if you have dsee hx option in sound enhancement or not

3- This mod works fully on unlocked bootloader and locked bootloader , of course a custom recovery is needed, and a deodexed rom too

~sonicmaster was a sound technology from Asus padphone,transformer etc. It has a really good bass,clarity and others. But it can't works fully on our devices because of hardware different

Walkman Ultra is transparented Walkman but some people don't like it

Installed and when I go to settings in walkman it says "Unfortunately Music FX has stopped" and doesnt work.
I had pureaudio v22 installed before and went to this and pressed clear data,cache and force stop before installing.
Anyone know what's up?

→actually i have my own presets name but i put it into the walkman ultra zip

Its mean: nothing about display is changed in setting, only change about quality of SOUND, and user have to enjoy it by ear???

AIO = Working but A2DP not working
Everything else should be fine the walkman mod is optimized for Kitkat
But I haven't tried on any other firmware below 4.4.2

Please note I had a user try on a Huawei Y300 and apparently broke audio but as I remember when I had the Y300 that phone had a good loud audio speaker and the phone it self hated most audio mods

Oh OK and I will look into the error my new audio mods have fixed it completely revamped it all lot better audio more clear and more bass but not to much to cause distortion at all

I'm not sure I haven't ever tried ART also my new version kept breaking my ROM so I'm gonna have to reupload old version as box overwritten the old one I'm gonna create 2 mods 1 for Display improvements 2nd for Audio Improvements

I can't install this mod. It gives me error 6 in CWM. As far as I could understand, it probably has something to do with syntax in updater script since character encoding is native unix as far as I could see...

Still being worked on but when ready it should be pretty awesome no official release date of when ready ok a made a B1 version and tested performance wise though seems to have made phone a lot smoother but strangely dropped Benchmark from 17k to 14k with antutu also with many performance features added it seems any type of mod some reason drops benchmarks so if anyone wants I will put link up for beta

No options and nothing to turn on as soon as flashed it will improve display quality and Audio I do recommend using Display Build Prop tweaks as well as it will improve anti aliasing in entire ROM
This Friday I should be getting a new tower as lately I have been using a low spec laptop and as I don't know spec of the tower I will be beefing it up if it's needed and then I can work on new projects as well as Poptart to deliver more performance but keeping it battery efficient

AIO is bravia 3 - Xreality, Beats audio & Xloud
Walkman app is well Sony's music player with sound enhancements which I built up as I tried many on the P880 and well either they kept FC'S or broke audio but I got it to fully work as well as all the audio enhancement features
Poptart Mod is in Beta and eventually all the mods I posted Walkman Bravia 3 etc... Will be a complete mod and will do performance enhancements as well as audio, display and hopefully battery but as it's beta for now and packs quite a few performance enhancements but it seems to of dropped my benchmarks these tweaks are stuff from Fsync, loopy smoothness and a few other tweaks but it all still needs work
When I have time I will put proper explanation for each mod and try clean thread up a bit sorry for causing this much mess in the thread

If you flash the Dolby, you can't use the Sony sound features, right? I remember flashing a dolby mod before but when changing EQ settings and headphone type, it doesn't work anymore.

Same applies, here. At times i found myself having to clear the data on the Audio settings apps for the Dolby mod to kick in.
Other than that , this mod has excellent clarity at high volumes. :good:

Indeed it does! It'd be much, much better if you didn't have to keep clearing the data for Audio settings in order for Dolby to work though. :/

Your download must be corrupted, download again and try.. Be sure to wipe caches before and after..

Download the latest Zip from the download section
Reboot in recovery and flash the Viper zip (Note. By if you flash ViPER on CM13 or based ROMs automatically AudioFX will be removed!)
Wipe cache,dalvik and reboot the device
Install Busybox from Playstore if you don't already have it
Open ViPER App and install the drivers (Note. It may take longer so if the phone freeze just leave it for about 1/2 minutes).
Make a full reboot now
Perfect now you're free to go ! Enjoy the Premium quality sound!
Installing IRS files
To install IRS files on CM13 or based ROMs you must follow this path: data/media/legacy/ViPER4Android/Kernel
To install IRS files on Stock ROM or based ROMs you must follow this path: sdcard/ViPER4Android/Kernel
So to install them unzip the folder and push them to the mentioned path
To use them, open Viper and set the UI settings to Moderate or Expert and afterwards Enable the Convolver and select the preferred one
Applying a custom profile
To install and use a custom made profile is very simple,but before of all you need to have the IRS files installed correctly, so if you haven't done yet that please scroll up and see that part first
If the profile is zipped then unzip it on your device
If you're doing this on CM13 or based ROMs push the folder here: data/media/legacy/ViPER4Android/Profile
If you're doing this on Stock ROM or based ROMs push the folder here: sdcard/ViPER4Android/Profile
Open Viper and in the options choose the one to load an effect profile, choose the one desired and it will be automatically loaded
If for some reasons you don't notice the Difference try deactivating Viper and re-activating again... it will work
Downloads
In the Downloads now i will include also Different effect profiles coming also from the users who want to share their ones.
IRS files are now available so make sure every time before applying a profile to have them installed
Remember all downloads are made for ROMs based on Android M, do not try this on a LP ROM !
The stock version which you find is only for stock based ROMs so do not try it on any other custom LP ROMs

Uhh... I'm new here. I keep getting this error "chcon : no such tool" in the output window when I run the runme.sh file. Any help would be appreciated greatly!

You can install V4P on Lollipop by sideloading the APK and installing the drivers from there. I am sure a dev can augment the libs library to create a flashable .zip file. Android M, however, seriously needed this.

It will come in the future... Will be a ViPER integration one with Dolby Atmos and the other one with Beats Audio

Happened the exactly same thing on my phone as well.
The chcon command is not being found during script execution (however I checked chcon via terminal emulator and it did find the command).

You don't need to look that, you have to see if toolbox appeared if so then you're good to go

If you find Viper then run it.... I renamed the script name afterwards but it's the same

I get the same error and I see no toolbox , currently on CM 13 and using xposed if that's helpful

There is configuration in mixer_path also in audio_policy for DSEE HX that use 96KHZ default (Changed to 192KHZ)
checked in logcat, it look like work.
Can you send me link to the source you are changed?

I attached the files as a zip, but I couldn't find a audio_policy_configuration.xml...

that file is introduced on android 7.0 and up

V4 works flawless on z5 7.1.1

Please try this!! and please report back, if still error provide logcat
Brush into v4.1 found a problem, that is, insert the ear plug to listen to music, the volume size will lose bass
Can it works on z5p?
