[Bug Report] Navigation Bar Quick Launch Bug - General Omni Discussion

Hello fellow XDA users!
Forgive me if I put this in the wrong spot!
Device: Asus Nexus 7 (2012)
Android Version: 4.4.2
Omni Version: omni-4.4.2-20131225-grouper-NIGHTLY (been having same issue before this)
Kernel: Not custom, one that came with Omni
OK, I have found a bug with the Kill App shortcut in the Navigation Bar Quick Launch feature. Every time I try to use it, it shows me "com.android.systemui has stopped". I will attach a video of this situation once I get my device back up to par.
Here is the attachment of the situation on my locgat:
Thanks guys!

Fixed in https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/4423/

Hmm, after downloading the nightly containing the fix, SystemUI is still Force Closing.. Maybe source the code from Cyanogenmod (Kill App shortcut works there for me), or is there something that I am doing incorrectly?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Yay, it works for me now as of the 2014-01-12 nightly update containing a permissions fix having to do with killing apps...
Thanks @XpLoDWilD, and Schubi for fixing this and making OmniRom even more useful and accessible!

New Nexus 7 Landscape Mode

I bought the N7 a few weeks ago an love it. The only thing I found I didn't like was not
having home screen rotate to landscape mode. Luckily there is a free app in Google Play

Just use the beta apex launcher it is perfect.

Nova launcher also does the job, its so smooth on jellybean

I get so much lag doing the local.prop fix. Sometimes it works immediately when I rotate, but more times than not it will hang for 30-40 seconds before you see anything or can do anything. Ever since I turned off Currents everything else has been perfect except screen rotation. Any ideas?

Edit the build.prop file for true tablet ui with no lag. The dpi I use is 175 which is perfect. You do have to revert back to 213 to make purchases threw play. So I buy apps in bundles so I spend as little time with that hideous stock phone ui.

Why not just use a multi dpi play store like i do? I use slimBean, one is included with that. I can see all apps at any dpi

Or use EOS rom which has native DPI tablet mode and no worries at all.

So far I'm digging it!!!!

I caved in and bought the ultimate rotation license for $4 :what: It seemed a bit much but it works like a charm with no lag and it rotates in a split second unlike the other methods I tried. Another thing I factored in was, I was able to also use the license for my samsung galaxy s3 cause touch wiz also doesn't rotate so I figure 4 bucks for 2 of my devices isnt that bad.

I love ultimate screen control , but is it normal for the notification shade to be towards the left when in landscape mode (when pulled down)? I wish it were in the middle...

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL](20140128) Pure CyanogenMod 11 m7spr (4.4.2) (LINARO)

Even though I've been around for quite some time, I've decided to finally start contributing a little :highfive:
As the title mentions, CM11 built from source. Nothing fancy, just a ROM that works. The only credit I take is building it
ROM runs like butter. Battery life, outstanding.
Cooked with Linaro.

Just FYI, if the ROM takes off, dropbox will shut down you hosting. You may want to find somewhere else to host it too.
I have been using for days even before thread and this is super solid. The difference is that he keeps us updated with the latest cm and will be around more than @kushdeck. I love @kushdeck work don't get me wrong he brought us kit kat, but people have questions and need a active dev to keep people informed and provide support.

The only way to get camera preview to look normal on any 4.4 roms is to set the camera to 2mp and the front camera has the same issue and needs to be set to 1.3mp and the distortion is gone.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I have a nasty habit of starting to use a ROM immediately before a developer quits the effort to keep it up. I hope you stay active in pushing out updates. If so, I, for one, would be happy to send a modest donation your way for you time and hope others would join me.

AOKP General Discussion

Since there wasn't a thread made in the development forums I figured I'd start one here. Any success installing AOKP any bugs? Lets discuss it here.

I'm on it. No issues so far, as there aren't many custom features yet.
Any sources for the AOKP nexus 5 edition?
I'm using my phone for gps to get home so I'm a bit scared to flash it. As soon as Im home I'm gonna take this baby for a spin. Definitely an awesome Christmas present.

Feel nice to finally be able to run AOKP on hammerhead. Too bad its soo skinny for now. Guess I'll head back to cataclysm for now and wait for devs to fill the ROM with the goodies.
Ran into an issue of not being able to get root access. Anyone else able to reproduce?

so far so good
