Try to get S-Off and flash the latest firmware from official android 4.3 release. If that doesn't help, then the only way to solve the problem would be to visit service center.

You can try on maximus10 or stock 4.2.2

Ok i will try.

You can also try to download this, rename it to PO68IMG.zip, put that on your external SD card and reboot your phone into bootloader. That should flash the firmware package from the recent 2.21.708.1 OTA update even without S-OFF.

Okay, I don't know how I can make this more explicit.
1) Download http://amerhippus.x64.me/~johnny64/901S/OTA/2.21.708.1/firmware.zip
2) Save the file as PO68IMG.zip.
3) Copy the file (PO68IMG.zip) to the SD card you use in your phone.
4) Reboot the phone while holding volume down.
5) The bootloader should show a message about flashing firmware, let it finish and reboot; you should be done.

As expected, I didn't get any solution on the HTC site. I haven't done any mods on my phone and it's still running an all-stock OS since I took it out of the box.
Here's my software info (my unit is the Europe version and I'm located in the Philippines, if that helps)
Android Version
4.1.2
HTC Sense Version
5.0
Software number
1.28.161.7
HTC SDK API level
5.12
Thanks in advance for the help :fingers-crossed:

that's strange.. the software number is correct.
and you haven't changed anything before? can you start your device into bootloader (power+volume down) and tell me what you see (does it show locked, unlocked or tampered?)? a screenshot of the bootloader would be helpful

wow, and you haven't modified anything? has this device been used before? your device is unlocked and even s-off!! :silly:
now it's clear why it didn't work. you'll have to relock your bootloader for an OTA.. the command would be "fastboot oem lock", but first you'll need to learn a bit about fastboot/adb stuff..
here's a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281365
Thanks! Hope this works (crossing fingers). By the way, what's this update anyway? I read somewhere that the 4.2.2 update for the HTC One came in two installments... one just a few MB in file size, then the other is around 400MB.

You've changed the CID. you have a Vodafone handset but the unbranded CID so it won't work. You need to change it back to VODAP001 and then see what happens
If you want the unbranded handset, seeing as you're S-OFF, then flash the 1.28.401.7 RUU and then you can get the OTAs to bring you up to 2.24.401.8

And if it's not compatible, will it brick my phone?
It will wipe everything so back up anything you want to keep first, and no it shouldn't brick the phone so long as you are fully charged

[Q] Please help with unroot gone wrong

Hi all
I'm hoping someone can help me fix my HTC One. I’ve just acquired the phone (from my son) which was bootloader unlocked via HTC Dev and rooted with a custom recovery installed (cwm) but still on stock 4.2.2. Due to a camera problem I need to send the phone in for repair/replacement and therefore need to get back to the pre root state. I followed instructions in a YouTube video and you can probably guess this didn't go fully according to plan and I need help to get this sorted. The phone is running but continually prompts me to download and install an update 2.24.401.8 (31.66MB) but when I select the option to install the phone reboots into the bootloader and just sits there. Bootloader is now showing tampered and relocked with a highlighted security warning below these, if I select reboot bootloader the security warning disappears but the update still wont install and, probably related to this, if I try to factory reset this fails and stalls in the bootloader as well. The phone is a UK sim free model bought from P4U and the software is as follows. This is the first HTC phone I've had any dealings with and I’m seriously out of my comfort zone here so I need a gentle lead towards what I need to do to get this fixed. Really appreciate any help.

for this OTA you need stock recovery too (not cwm), grab it from here and flash it via fastboot: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.ch/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
Thanks for your reply. I've downloaded the recovery image from your link but when I try to flash it fails with "FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)" Any further thoughts? Thanks

actually thats better than getting OTA
just download a custom rom like ViperOne or ARHD or InsertCoin and
copy it to your downloads folder
reboot your phone and hold volume down and it will enter the bootloader. go into recovery from here and wipe/factory reset and install the rom you copied to the phone. 10x better than waiting on OTA update
Edit: When rebooting the phone you may have a menu with the choice of booting recovery ..choose that

Try to flash custom recovery via fastboot. it should work. If that works, you just need to sideload a ROM and flash it via custom recovery

your correct rom is the 401 ruu, you don't want to be flashing the asia RUU that's the wrong one.

also, you have HBOOT 1.44, that is known to cause problems with windows 8 and above, make sure you are using windows 7 and your drivers and fastboot/adb is up to date.

Nope. It's dead. If it acted up on its own. Bury it. Throw it. Or blend it.

[Q] HTC One Automatically Reboots "Process com.htc.htcdialer isn't responding

I managed to "successfully" flash the ViperOne 6.1.0 ROM onto my HTC One (S-On.) However, I get a message saying "Process com.htc.htcdialer isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" This causes my phone to automatically reboot every couple of minutes, making it useless. I also noticed some thins don't work such as the Play Store and the search bar on the home screen. It is apparent that something is wrong with the flash (even though I tried to flash it twice after I saw this behaviour the first time and I did wipe both times.)
What is going on? How can I fix it? What causes it (what I really want to know is if I were to fix it and then attempt to install the ROM again, would it cause the issue again?)

what custom recovery are you using. If it's too old you need TWRP 2.6.3.3 or 2.7.1.1 for modern Roms

its kind of tough to tell over the internet.
press the vol up plus power button until the phone restarts on its own. keep wifi turned off for this.
if you have a case and/or screen protector on, they could be causing an issue.
has the phone been dropped?
is fastboot ticked? if it is, disable.
if you installed or uninstalled an app prior to this, try and remove those recently added apps one by one and test to see if the phone returns to normal.
if the phone does not behave, you may have to do a factory reset.

1. Post your fastboot getvar all
minus serial number and IMEI
2. Find the Stock Firmware / RUU for your device
3. Flash Stock firmware / RUU reboot to recovery do a factory reset from Stock Recovery.
Flash TWRP 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
now you can push your rom to the phone
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
or adb sideload rom.zip
just be sure the rom.zip is in the same folder as adb/fastboot
all you should have to do is flash the latest radio. This happened to me when I flashed a custom kernel. It broke radio for some reason.
---------- Post added at 07:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:29 PM ----------
Seriously. Try flashing radio before going through all this other stuff. Worked for me in the past. Just Google for xda and sprint HTC one m7 and radio and you should quickly find the link to radios. You install the latest one in TWRP, just the same way you flash a ROM
If the phone won't stay on long enough to transfer the radio from your computer to your device, try adb sideload. If that won't work, do you have an old restore you could go back to temporarily that won't reboot on you? If so, do that to get it on, then flash the ROM, followed by the radio. Hope this helps.
Important: My directions are for the Sprint m7. You should find the latest radio for the m7 for your carrier. That is important, and why you always need to let us know as much details about your phone as possible. Thanks.

it's not a Rom it's a TWRP Backup
you have to restore it like any backup
it's in zip format just for download
you need to unzip it and push it to your phone
adb devices
your_serial_here < you need this
adb push nandroid_Folder_Name /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/your_serial_here/
it's a large folder it will take time to copy to your phone
then in TWRP / restore / nandroid_folder_name
Swipe to restore
Example path to backup
L:\TWRP\BACKUPS\HT34********\2014-09-14--11-05-53 KTU84L release-keys
I have the same issue. After the last OTA update the phone began rebooting at different times. I didn't notice this until a couple of days after the update. I tried a factory reset and when the phone restarted it would come up with the htc.dialer error message and reboot. Contacted HTC and after trying everything they told me I was advised that it had to be returned to them. The details below are after the OTA update
CID: HTC-622
MID: PN0714000

OS- 5.12.708.3
eMMC- boot 2048Mb
Apr 25 2014, 22:14:08.12462
Since then I have unlocked the phone and tried two custom ROMs. With ARHD 71.1 I can cancel the dialler and the phone starts up but there is no network and the dialler error message comes up every couple of minutes. With AOKP there is no dialler error message but again there is no network and now with both ROMs no OS shows.
