I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by scott.hart.bti from the Samsung Infuse 4G. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!

Standard Installation Instruction's
- Make sure you're running official ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and Beanstalk ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash BeanStalk zip from internal SDCard
- Flash Gapps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Wouldn't boot on my P3110. Got past Samsung splash screen, then just sat dark and lit. Reflashed, same issue. Downloading again now to make sure it wasn't a dodgy DL.

I could not get it to boot. Flashed without issue, get past the tab 2 screen, and then blank screen and it just stays blank ?
Am using Beanstalk on my infuse and love it - hope you get this figured out

I have to say guys I'm running this on my epic 4g touch and it is a killer rom! I just got this tablet and looking to make it baller like my phone! Saw this and had to take a look! Good luck to you techdude on getting this puppy going!

Steps:
- download .zip
- place on root of your phones storage
- download latest full or minimal gapps (optional)
- reboot device into recovery
- perform a full wipe (advised) (ie system, dalvik, cache, factory data reset)
- install .zip as well as gapps if you are using it
- after install finishes, reboot your device

I'm looking into it. From what I see most bases are cm. Then devs modify the source and make it their own so I will for sure look into beanstalk

I believe beanstalk is cm based actually. It just has a lot of features other cm based roms don't.

ROM is running pretty smoothly no complaints there...my question is in regards to LTE functionality. i followed the same steps i take on AOSP roms to activate the LTE feature, most things appear but I cannot actually get an LTE signal to lock on. Have you tested this with the latest LTE settings?
I enabled LTE via build.prop, created LTE APN, changed network provider, and a few other steps just to verify. Still nothing seems to trigger the LTE.
Any suggestions or comments?

In all honesty I don't have LTE in my area unfortunately so I can't test it myself. I do know that cm 10 source comes with the LTE apns so I am looking to get them working on this AOKP build. If anyone else that is near an LTE area with coverage can test this and report back their results would be much appreciated

Thanks mar5hal I would be glad to test anything for you as I am in Atlanta, with good LTE signal here. I will attempt to reconfigure the LTE once again for testing, maybe I missed a step the first go round. I to look forward to seeing other peoples results with using LTE on this rom.

I agree. But my point is you asked to base it off beanstalk instead of cm, but beanstalk is a cm base. I don't believe mar5hal is going to make another beanstalk rom. But he may pull some stuff from it. Between beanstalk, carbon, and many others, he has plenty of options to pull. It will be good either way.

I don't have LTE so can't test but also remember to have a nandroid backup too for safety.

Take your time and get it right mate, we don't need an updated ROM as often as some other ROMs are. By having this period of no updates our phones and ROM bond and get to function in harmony.

First build for this thread is ready there were many minor changes but build it today and started Uploading BeanStalk-4.4.4001-20140626-mako.zip

DSP manager fix link in post #1 is dead... Has anyone determined if it is still needed?
@chineel - MD5 does not seem to match, can you verify? I D/L twice, and from Google Drive I have never had an issue with errors before...

Nevermind... Sorry, I'm an idiot... it is correct... I can't seem to copy and paste correctly apparently.

First off, thanks for carrying the torch! Was worried I'd have to switch up roms to stay up to date..
I updated just with a dirty flash the minimal gapps package with no issues so far. Everything's running tight and fast.

Big thanks for carrying on with the builds! Newest build running perfectly here so far, no problems at all. :thumbup:

Installed finally with PA standard gapps... So far so good, no issues at all, liking the new build so far.
Did notice one oddity though, the stock kernel is set to a maximum of 1134 Mhz at install. Not an issue, just odd, i bumped it up to 1512 and things really sped up.

No update from Scott yet but I had started playing with Aroma installer If I got success next build may come in two flavor 1) regular update 2) with Aroma Installer.

FYI... did some testing on 4.4.4, this is still required with latest Beanstalk build as Spotify and a few other media apps will force close DSP Manager without it. Not really sure if this needs to be updated or not, it works, but the dspmanager.apk, associated libs and other files embedded in it are kinda old (11/19/2013 build), but I'm not a dev and it still works fine, including all adjustments, so who knows. So far this build is the best I have used so far, other than a couple very minor glitches here and there, like the maximum CPU clock set at 1134 Mhz and some repeat toast messages from Superuser (like 50 in a row when HKM makes a change, where SuperSU only shows one or two), this build is the most stable and battery friendly I have seen so far. Using Hellscore b47 CM kernel with all stock settings (except the headset and speaker gains turned up some) and this build I am getting around 2%-3% idle battery drain with everything enabled and synching (Google Now, Location services, etc), very respectable for one of the most feature packed ROMs I have seen out there.
@chineel thanks again for picking up the torch and supplying this ROM, I hope you can eventually get it official so we can get OTA updates in the future as well!

I`m very happy with the BeanStalk rom and I have respect for your work, keep it up! :good: I saw that there was an official thread here in the section by He[]razor ... He was probably the official maintainer for this rom, or? What I have to say, your 4.4.4001 build is very good tweaked and I like the integrated tweaks, I`m not a directly developer but my hobby is tweaked the Android ROMs without lags, affecting the battery life or the system stability to deteriorate ... My way is professional tweak the system, lol and I`m learn since 3 years so ... I added only in your rom my build.prop tweaks, Darky Zipalign and zipalign for the data apps ... And now my device with the HD (HellsDoctor) kernel is very fast, buttery smooth and I have no lags, very great :angel: ... Okay chineel, I look forward to your work and I'm excited to see what awaits us ... Maybe we can sometimes work together, we will see ... So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. Wow, thanks for your sharing. Do not know this rom has battery drain? I've used most of the 4.4.4 rom as LX, Carbon, C-rom rom but always drain the battery. Can not deep sleep. I'll flash and leave feedback. Hope rom fast, smooth and stable.

720 recording not working/480 is working and camera is working.
seems pretty fast and is smooth.
rebooted the phone and the screen just went nuts,constant flickering.
browser works no lag
back to c-rom until bugs are fixed

If you use Cyanide Blackout this is a small theme to supplement it and fix some black text on black background issues. It also themes some other apps but main purpose is so be used with Blackout option. This is purely an Add-on theme made for Cyanide Blackout in the ROM Blackout Add-on Theme

On my initial boot there was a constant system force close. I re-downloaded gapps and reflashed and was OK since.
It is VERY smooth. Although I don't know if that's sabermod at work or the fact my kernel just keeps hanging about at top CPU speed. I've been trying to get it to sit a bit lower but so far no luck.
Otherwise I'm liking it. Thanks!

Awesome rom, never been able to try a sabermod rom before but been wanting to. So far I think this might be my new daily driver coming from crdroid.

Ui crash sounds like you pulled gapps with Google+. Change the governor for CPU. Kernel is prebuilt so I didn't have to actually mess with it. I build custom kernels but for Samsung. HTC so much different. I think it's on interactive governor by default. I never use that one personally

Awesome rom, never been able to try a sabermod rom before but been wanting to. Advanced Power Menu doesn't work but I see it as a known bug, can't wait for these little issues to be fixed. So far I think this might be my new daily driver coming from crdroid.

No actually that works. Slim power menu shortcut doesn't. In developer options just uncheck and the recheck and it comes up. Very strange. I had to start from scratch awhile back and haven't cleaned these weird little things up yet. I mean it's checked, it should work LOL. It's on my list tho for sure. V4 will have lots behind the scenes and cleanup

Go to developer options. Uncheck, then recheck advanced reboot. Should be good then

Ui crash sounds like you pulled gapps with Google+. Change the governor for CPU. Kernel is prebuilt so I didn't have to actually mess with it. I build custom kernels but for Samsung. HTC so much different. I think it's on interactive governor by default. I never use that one personally

I actually really like the Interactive governor tbh. Been trying to tweak it but it just loves max speed too much and is getting hot.

I've tried about every CM/AOSP ROM on this forum and every one has a bug with the signal bars where they constantly jump around. I've tried different radios and have had no luck, they still jump around.
Not sure if it's just At&t or not, but if anyone on At&t has flashed this ROM can you let me know if this is an issue?

Ok thanks it does work. I did find that Stock Recents look is broken. WHen I got into Recents app panel and turn off slim recents then hit the recents button it results in a systemui FC.

That's normal. SystemUI is just restarting with the other recents panel. That is completely normal. For a second there is no recent app. It's gotta restart
