[KERNEL][WIP]HTC Sense 5.5 (4.3) (Open Beta) - HTC Butterfly S

I would like to make the test a public one so i can gather more info as fast as i can..without further delay i bring you a test kernel for Butterfly S 4.3 OTA update..
Hardware build is for DLXP_UL device thats the only working source i can grab..if you have sources for the DLXP_U device let me know so i can support it too..
Grab it here:Test 4.3 Kernel
you are to report stuff in the ff formats:
- provide me with a clean last kmsg..
- dump me a kmsg log..
- adb logcats can be useful too..
else i cannot assist you since i do not own the device and this is an attempt to help you get a Custom kernel..also a reminder that this is just a test kernel..so some stuff are meant to be broken..so i won't entertain you guys who will whine that stuff is laggy blah..blah..blah..no ETA's also..it's either you wait for me or wait for HTC..
This is a Port of my HTC Butterfly Sense 5 4.3 OTA update kernel..which is now 100% working..
If you like my work and would like to inspire me or help me get the device..you know where to hit it.. effort and time has been spent on this even a thanks will be appreciated..it's sad to see other dev's accepting projects just because people will donate..

1 more just incase..

AOKP??

Anyone working on a AOKP rom for this device. As soon as I get it on 4-19 I'll be working on it. Is someone gonna beat me to it.

this is a noob question, but does the kernel sources they released a few days ago help with the porting of AOKP?

Got to be rooted and have to install a custom kernel that supports it. Heads up all custom kernels as far as I know has bluetooth calling issues due to HTC not releasing proper source. Streaming is fine.

Same here... Honestly, I haven't had faith in custom kernels since using them on the original EVO. They were the cause of too many issues. Random reboots, freezes, serious lag, etc.

I'm looking forward to not having the added "..." menu bar on non-JB menu compliant apps, that alone is making me impatient for sprint to release the update. I haven't heard anything about eta for that though...anyone else know?

Im impressed long pressing home>htc logo as menu. Why? Because when typing it was too easy to attempt to hit space bar and instead hit menu. This will fix that problem.

Can you be a little bit more specific. There is a solution for all but Sprint versions. Is there a Sprint specific kernel which supports the logo?

[Q] Porting the JB Snese roms from tne One S C2

Since the One S C2 (The one with the Snapdragon S3 which has the same architecture as out devices) has gotten its JB leaked, i was wondering how hard would it be to port it over. I have an Incredible 2 but since the 2 and the S are essencially the same device, and you guys are more active, i was wondering if one of you would have any idea on how to.

Hi
It doesn't work that easily We will neeed a booting kernel with ion support (which jb sense needs) not to mention a proper ramdisk and compliant rom.
Yes the base rom is there (For Desire X too which is the same screen res as us) but we will still need a modified kernel
Whether it is ported from a newer device or completely hacked up from ours, it doesn't matter as long as it works I guess
But there are a lot of variables
Just wait....

Sense 5

Is sense 5 in the future of HTC incredible s?
I mean the HTC butterfly just got it officially
So does this mean it can be easily ported in the future to our device ? And if so when will it possible ?
I am a little newbie when it comes to developing Roms and porting
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Adding to that HTC one s got a beta Rom of sense 5 too thanks to xda community of course (great developers everywhere)
So what we are waiting for is the ion kernel which I think is almost done working and what next?
Please advice

Yes its true that we still need a kernel for Jellybean Sense. We can hope for it this month (or the next).
However, all the devices that have received Sense 5 beta or what not are all the 1080p devices so for a team of HTC developers, it might not be too difficult to just port it over since there (shouldn't) be any re-sizing to do. For our device, its possible although I can't imagine what single person would spend the time re-sizing all the HTC apps and what not.
Sense 4+ would be significantly more realistic because there are devices with Sense 4+ that have the same resolution as our phone, so (I'm not a developer so don't take my word for granted) I'd assume that it would be just exchanging libs, correcting frameworks here and there, make modifications to make it run smoother and better etc.

mazda has the device.. ask him to make it
a 4.3 version of a elegancia ROM w/ sleep2wake. I've been using the ICS version for over a year and love the stability and the fact that everything works as it should. But now, I'm getting tired of it and want to try 4.3. CM10.2 just has SO MANY issues and bugs on this device!
