Bootloader Relocked, no longer unlockable - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Guys,
i've got a Problem with my C6903.
Yesterday i unlocked the Bootloader of the Z1. (No TA Backup was made :silly: ). Today i Relocked the Bootloader with Flashtool, because there where no usable Custom Roms available. But then i thought why not try some different Kernels?! And now here's the Problem:
I can't Re-unlock the Bootloader. The Fastboot Command says when the first Time entered: Command did not succed. The second Time i enter it it say Device already rooted. Then i'm able to boot from a custom Kernel, boot to CWM and install AOSP Rom. But after Restart the Screen goes Blank (like Locked Bootloader). Flashing a Rom/Kernel through Fastboot just says Command not allowed. In Flashtool, i'm able to Unlock/Relock the Bootloader, well the Tool still says after Unlocking Rootable, not Rooted. But also after unlocking in Flashtool the Problems resist. Tried Flashing Stock Rom with Flashtool, with PC Companion(Repair) but no succes. Service Menu still means Bootloader Unlock allowed: Yes.
Would be nice if you Guys could help me out :highfive:

I don't understand really what is going on with your phone but the only one thing is clear to me, why did you relocked the bootloader anyway? For what reason? because was no custom roms? With unlocked bootloader you can use Stock, Custom, anything you want. For me that was the first your mistake, relock bootloader.

Are you *rooted* when you're trying to unlock the BL? The best advice I can offer is to go back to a stock ROM and start over at the top of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439328.

I've tried now to Rollback to 528, and Upgrade step to step. Still not functional. (Tried with PC Companion and Flashtool)
Don't know much else i can make, other than running Stock Rom for the rest of the Xperia Z1 life.

I understand that you have SIM locked device, and it's a different thing than bootloader.
However, there are lots of websites that you can use to buy a SIM unlock code for your device.

obviously lol, if you relocked it with flashtool you will have to use flashtools again to unlock it again...
simply connect the phone in fastboot mode and choose BLU in flashtool, and voilla!

Please do not attempt to guess unlocking code. It's not as easy as 12345. Its a long number that will be generated based on your IMEI #. Find a good cell unlocking website and unlock your phone.

Hello,
well thats the Problem, if i Unlock the Phone through Flashtool the Tool says unlocked, and the next Time i connect the Device and go into BLU menu it says Relock ( so the Tool think it's unlocked), but in LOG it still says Rootable, not Rooted. And from Fastboot, no alternative Kernels etc. installable, as the Command is not allowed (Locked). If i go to CMD and try to Unlock with Fastboot, it says the first time Command not Succeded. The Second Time (same CMD session) it says Device alrady rooted. Then i'm able to boot and Flash a Alternative Kernel, but if i Close and reopen the CMD Fastboot Window/Restart the Device, Flash is no longer possible. And if i flash a alternative Kernel or whatever the Device won't Boot, as the Screen goes Blank.
Thanks

Try unlocking it using flashtool, then power on the device, then power it off and relock it using flashtool again. Then go to unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com then try to get the unlock code again, then unlock using fastboot as it is said in the last step in that website.

Dudes, i did it. Found the failure. And for all Guys out there facing the same Problem, here is the Solution: Flashtool found the Unlockcode automaticly for me, and saves it to ulcode.txt. Now heres the clue Flashtool saved the Code as Command: fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. So the Flashtool tries to Unlock the Phone with the actual command (fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY) + the code thats saved to ulcode.tyt ie fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. So the command is like fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xfastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. But Flashtool think it unlocks the Phone. So just remove the Command and save the File with Ulcode only in it.
Tank you

So you could've used the command manually and replace the "KEY" word with the unlock code you got from Sony.
I like to do everything I can do manually.

Good find, you should report this to the flashtool devs to get it fixed.

Hi there,
I have the same problem and couldn't resolve it. I tried everything listed in here or other websites.
I had to relock my Sony Xperia Z1 because I sent it to service. And couldn't be sure if my warrianty is still valid without bootloader lock. So I locked it.
Now I try everyway to unlock again. Via flashtool or via fastboot command line. It says device already rooted. I have 4.4.2 Stock rom.

Can you check if your bootloader can really be unlocked? Back on stock ROM, open Dialer, then type in *#*#SERVICE#*#* and report your "bootloader unlock allowed" status.
"Allowed bootloader unlocking : No" But i read somewhere i can still try to unlock it.

It's simple just go into security and disable Xperia Protection and reboot the phone and let it boot. Then try the fastboot thing. Or else use flashtool to clean wipe and flash a stock ROM. Then try the above steps.

Unable to Relock Bootloader - Please Help!

So recently I tried rooting my xperia xp and it has failed horribly. I managed to unlock my bootloader and install twrp recovery but after doing so my phone could not reboot into system without running into a bootloop. I've tried to perform a software repair on my phone with the xperia companion, but as you know my bootloader is unlocked at the moment so that couldn't help me.
The issue with relocking here is that when I enter "./fastboot oem lock" on my terminal it replies as:
"FAILED (remote: unknown command)"
I really do not want to have to purchase a new phone just because of the bootloader, it'd be so so appreciated if somebody could help me out here
Also
I'd also like point out that I've also tried the other two commands I could find:
"./fastboot oem relock" and "./fastboot flashing lock"
There are two ways to relock bootloader:
1. Restore TA partition
2.Use Flashtool to relock
But if you encounter a bootloop after unlocking bootloader, try flash Magisk first.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium (single sim, G8141) owner here.
Is there really no way to relock the bootloader?
I don't have a TA backup. I have flashed a completely stock ROM with flashtool (Emma), I just want to relock a bootloader for a warranty claim (purely hardware, faulty USB connector, took me 20 minutes to get the computer to recognize it, at this point it won't even charge most of the time).
I have tried fastboot oem relock command even with the USB vendor ID that I also had to specify when unlocking it in the first place. New flashtool (Emma) does not seem to have any option to relock (or even unlock) BL, nor does it display any information about it. Old flashtool says TA read fail and that my bootloader cannot be relocked.
The boot screen tells me to please lock my bootloader so I'm assuming there must be a way, I just haven't found it yet.

Can't downgrade EMUI from 9.1.0 to 8.0.0

Hello,
I got a Honor 9 lite from a relative, it is not relevant but I changed te battery and the screen. This device is slow, therefore I wish to install a custom ROM(as in LineageOS) on it.
The issue is that the first step, from what I understand, is that I need to downgrade it to 8.0.0. The issue is that at each attempt I get a "software update failed", or when the device is plugged to my laptop, it get stuck at 5% before booting back.
Guide don't really lead my anywhere, therefore I need help to figure out :
How to downgrade
How to unlock the bootloader
insstall TWRP (I sould be able to handle it from there)
I tanks you in advance for the help.

1. Now, its impossible to downgrade it officially bcoz huawei removed this feature from his hisuite software.
you have to take help from third party developers. But i tried those roms they were not most stable and most of the apps were crashing while changing tasks.
2. If you want to unlock bootloader you need to unlock FRP first. You can do this by short circuiting testpoint and circuit board. Also try to get help from google and youtube.
You will also need software like potato nv for changing bootloader code after unlocking frp and during frp unlock.
3. Using fastboot cmd you can unlock bootloader and flash twrp.
4. If your phone is slow. Then try to install magisk and then overclock your cpu and gpu.
This will help for faster experience

1. You can downgrade to Oreo via HiSuite. If the rollback option is not available with your HiSuite ("switch to the older version" or "Earlier version"), you must downgrade to the lower (first) 9.1.0 build version number doing the dload method (flashing Service ROM ) and try again with HiSuite. sometimes better results are with the Chinese version:
Link
2. A) using HCU-client or DC-unlocker (you have downgrade to Oreo build number with google patch april-june 2018 via dload method)
B) for free (that can be done on 9.1.0 ) using potatonv method, Guide
in both cases, you will get an BL unlock code.
How to unlock:
- In Developer options in your phone enable OEM unlock option (with this setting you will get "FRP unlock" status in fastboot mode, it's very important).
- Connect your phone in fastboot mode to the PC and run command
fastboot oem unlock xxxxYour_Codexxx
fastboot reboot
3) Download TWRP
Link
- in fastboot mode run command
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk xxTWRP'sNamexx.img
(e.g. fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP-9.1.img)
fastboot reboot
Done.

this error appears on Windows 11, afaik. Sometimes it helps to install the full Microsoft Visual C++ (2005-2022) package.

~~I am bad at this~~
I am trying to use the forced update method by putting the dload folder in an SD card to downgrade EMUI.
From what I understand downgrading the firmware is the first step.

I will need to first downgrade to this thdn. Hopefully HiSuite will cooperate.
Also weird is that HiSuite has no issues detecting my Samsung phone.
Maybe I need to install something on the LLD-L31

In fastboot mode run commands :
fastboot oem get-build-number
fastboot oem get-product-model
fastboot getvar vendorcountry
fastboot oem oeminforead-CUSTOM_VERSION
fastboot oem oeminforead-SYSTEM_VERSION
and post the results.
Some might fail, so don't worry about it.

Code:
(bootloader) :LLD-L31 9.1.0.149(C432E6R1P4)
fastboot oem get-product-model
Code:

fastboot getvar vendorcountry
Code:
vendorcountry: hw/eu
fastboot oem oeminforead-CUSTOM_VERSION
