[BUG] Speaker issue in VoIP call - General Omni Discussion

When making a call over VoIP (stock dialer, embedded VoIP functionality) the sound goes not through earpiece but through loudspeaker (the one on the back of the phone, used for ringtones) but very quietly, switching to loudspeaker makes the sound loud enough (so loudspeaker mode works as expected).

VoIP from the wrong speaker

Hi,
I just managed to make the VoIP function of my Kaiser work, but I ran into a problem.
Apart from the sound quality being plain horrible (and I belive it's not the WiFi what's at fault), the voice always goes from the speaker on the back of the phone. Switching between the speakerphone and the normal speaker (for calls) doesn't change anything, it really *always* goes from the speakerphone. I thought that only additional VoIP clients have this issue and not the built-in one.
Is there any known fix and I just failed to notice it in the forums?
Thanks.

[Q] Why would a phone be transmiting microphone output over BT in car

Throwing this out there because I don't know if this is a ROM issue or kernel function.
(Specs in sig)
When I use the BT in the car MY voice is transmitted to my audio system as if its playing back media. This is not what some would call "echo" in normal working BT setups. It's my actual voice being transmitted through my audio system. Far louder than the person on the other end. Of course that causes issues then with feedback into the car mike. My voice is amplified a lot louder than the callers.
Is there a setting on the phone or is this a ROM, Modem or kernel issue.
EDIT
FIXED In case anyone else has this issue. I have Call Recorder Pro and I neglected to check the "off when BT is being used" box. Apparently it disallows the voice to be muted over BT when its in the BG,
OOPS!

S5830: poor quality call voice with IEM headset

I've a problem with my S5830 connected to a headset.
When I connect a classic headphone (various expensive IEMs, with 3 tips plug), the Ace activates the internal mic.
During a call, I hear the other voice with good volume and quality, but my voice has poor quality, with noise/distortion and reverberation.
My impression is that the internal settings are wrong, assigning a lot of gain to the mic.
I've the S5830XWKT8 baseband with the SGSII JB 11.1 ROM.
In the Service Mode menu, the Audio option is "Blocked", so I can't tweak it.
I've tried with other baseband (S5830XXKPP) and ROM (stock, stock based and CM10 based) without a solution.
If I use the phone without headset or with a classic handsfree device (phone+mic+switch), my voice is clear.
So the phone and internal mic have no problem.
Any idea?

[Q] Kernal Mic - Mod

Hi I have a HTC One which primary microphone doesn't work (sounds muffled to other person during a call)
The other person hears me fine when I enable loudspeaker (phone switches to microphone at back of phone)
Is there a custom kernal that will force NON-loudspeaker calls to use microphone at back of phone?
Thanks
Johnny

Broken main mic: how to use always the speakerphone mic ?

Below is the mixer_paths.xml file, how can I change it so that during calls the speakerphone mic is always chosen ?
Thanks
Have to use pastebin cause the code is too long and can't use attachments
pastebin . com / Panu8Bkc
I noticed something odd, in neither phone not telegram/WhatsApp calls the mic work, but if I record a call I can hear my voice in the recordings! And it's not a recordings with external sound noise so it's recorded with standard mic (I suspect rm4x has one mic only).
So the mic is working Ibet, it's just some stupid conf messed up. Don't want to reset though
