As Kingo does not work for 4.3 yet, you should not try it.
For 4.2.2 it does not trip any flag and status stays official, there is no KNOX counter on 4.2.2

Changelog can be found from Kingo website and yes, you can uninstall root with KingoApp. I tried uninstall and then reinstall with my i9506 and there was nothing to complain about it.

no i mean if i install this rom and i don't like it can i install stock rom (e330sksuami2)?

This is root only. I dont know if you can install i9506XXUAMI3 on your E330s even it have pretty much same hardware and software.
But yes, you can always install stock rom over any other roms that does not have KNOX.

i have bootloader unlocked and no knox. i have android 4.2.2

Then you can root your current firmware with Kingo. There is no need to install any rom

ok perfect

successfully rooted on 4.2.2 stock ROM. being a little cautious (read: paranoid) I tried disabling internet on the machine I was running the root program. no luck, it NEEDS an internet connection. the strange thing was that it needed to remove the drivers that windows installed 5 minutes before, and then installed its own drivers. Suspicious or not, it worked.
my experience in case this helps someone:
without internet connection, the program will not connect your device. I double checked if USB debugging was enabled, dis- and reconnected the cable but the program would NOT detect my device. Enabled WIFI on my laptop, got internet again, and it started to connect. Don't worry when this takes long, in my case it took 3 minutes to uninstall the drivers or whatever it was doing (fast win7 x64 laptop, 40Mbit internet connection).
when there finally was a connection, I just clicked on the huge ROOT button.
Then don't get worried when it says "rooting" and "testing root" several times. I'm guessing it tests several different exploits until it finds one that works. on my mobile the "rooting" and subsequent "testing root" took 3 or 4 times. It concluded with a reboot and the root software returned to the initial screen asking for a connection. I disconnected the cable before the mobile was ready again as I did not want the root program to connect to my mobile again. It seemed to take a few seconds to find my carrier information (I got slightly worried) but after 3 seconds or so there was a signal. before the root, I never noticed this delay, nor was it visible the next 2 reboots. All seems to work.

What firmware do you flash?

Hey!
I just rooted my device. Yeah its litle strange soft, but its doing hes job. Its changed my status in download mode to"system status: custom".
I fixed this by "wanam exposed", there is settings to but system in "fake status: official" and is fixing this. I am sure if I flash stock rom, then is NO problems and everything is LEGAL status(your warranty is OK).
I am in 4.2.2 and I waiting for modifications like kernel and custom roms to take my baby to max.
Anyway, nice job for kingo app!
YOU CAN ALWAYS REROOT WITH KINGO!
Peace for all!!!

Hey!
If you about fear the Kingo app actions and you already rooted with kingo, you can go for this way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2597058
I was too rooted with Kingo, but for now to be sure, that nothing strange for installed to my phone. I was rooting with this method and I suggest you too.

One click Root keep KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0 without losing data for android 4.3 jelly bean and other version of android OS.
This is the easiest method to root Samsung galaxy S4 and Samsung galaxy Note3
without voiding KNOX warranty, Just one click and you are done
PLEASE, don't ask if your device is supported or not, Just try it !
Steps :
1- Download and install Samsung Kies or Samsung Mobile driver
2- Download and install "VROOT"
3- On your device go to Settings/More/About device/
4- Tap 5 times on "build number" to enable "Developer option"

6- Connect your device to PC by USB cable and wait until "VRoot" display the model of your device
7- Click the green Button and wait few seconds

Notes :
- This method of root won't delete any data but backup your important data just in case of the process corrupt your data
- System status of your device will be changed to custom
- After Rooting you will not be able to update your device via OTA
- Use it at your own risk, I'm not responsible if something goes wrong
- "VROOT" support more than 3500 several android devices (Samsung, HTC, Sony, Motorola, ...)
- This won't reset KNOX if you already void KNOX warranty.
This works for At&t for sure. This is what I'm using and it's sick. Nice clean up options integrated. Love this. Just needs the English update which is coming soon.
Just so y'all know. This works on our At&t Note 3's. I just did this method and it took maybe 2 mins. Everything is fine and now I can do what I want.

yeah your right it does work however now there is chinese notifications everytime something tries to gain root and the first samsung screen is changed to display custom with a lock on it. I recommend that people still use DG's method. I dont know if I totally trust this. I may have to reload to get this off mine.

Your still going to be custom status. This just faster and the Knox stuff is not tripped. Vroot or Kingo Root. As far as the Chinese stuff, I have root and this superuser is fine. I will change later to maybe supersu. I have froze all the bloat running my battery down and I'm loving root. It has begun
Ps. Have you ever used viper4android? It also has this look but works great if not one of the best.
Changing to supersu at the moment isn't allowed. I cannot install the binaries for it.

We should be able to change soon. Right now it doesn't matter to me. This works fine. More ways and work arounds will be out soon, look how fast this and Kingo added in the mix. (I didn't try Kingo) this one was so fast and does the job period.
Day two. Battery life is even better today. I let the phone die down to 4% using it yesterday all day. Then charged it all night till this morning when I got up. I have used it all morning and still have 98% battery left. I went ahead and installed Greenify *ROOT: Renew my Phone >> Get it here its great >>>> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en

Uninstalled Superuser (Vroot Superuser used) using Titanium Back Up
Rebooted phone
Used Kingo Root
It asked if I wanted to uninstall root > Hit YES
Then reboot phone and Kingo.
Run Kingo and let the Root Begin !!!
It works and I have SuperSU now.....ENGLISH....
Installed Xposed and Wanam and removed custom status with Official.
It also removed the Lock (Custom Icon) on boot screen.

really weird why XDA is blocking VROOT and KINGO, just because VROOT is Chinese language ?
I read chinese and basically i see nothing wrong with those root software at all.
and most important is knox counter does not trip at all.

Where is the explaination of what is wrong with kingo/vroot that's getting links to them removed from all threads? I'm really confused, because everyone seems to be using kingo or vroot, and saying it's fine and they have no problems - but here we're being told (without any reference or link to more information or evidence) that these are malware.

It's because of the info Kingo retrieves from Rooting your device. IMEI Number, Serial Number and Etc.....They dont need our IMEI number to root and thats really why XDA was like "HOLD UP"....Plus its not open source. I was using Kingo root on my last phone (Rejected Phone) but not on my replacement YET. I really want to wait for a trusted XDA method now. Not saying that Kingo or Vroot are malware, (Kingo doesn't get your IMEI anymore I was told) Kingo updated and there is ver 2.0 coming soon. I went to their Facebook and felt they were honest and concerned about the issues XDA was having. Its up to y'all if you want to do this.

@Mithy correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that you post the stock ROM without any modification.
The only (but so nice for us) thing you've done is inspecting the code and found that, even if sammy put some trace of Knox for future update, there is NO KNOX BOOTLOADER INSIDE.
Then so far is it possible to act with KK just like with ICS (root, CWM ....) ?
Supersu 1.94 say that Knox is installed on device, and try to isable knox. Success. It works. Rooted.
Thank you very much for this firmware modification.
Sorry noob questions.
1. So if I root with this firmware, Knox warranty bit not going to be tripped? Any precautions how to not activate Knox on this firmware? I just want to have stock Rom without Knox and without root. Or Rom with root ability but without Knox in bootloader.
2. Anyone know what with future updates, if I install this I can in future update to next Android version s without errors/brick? I have German phone.
3. What about warranty if I install this? Does Triangle Away works? If my phone broke should I reset it to factors settings before sending it to Samsung? If I reset it, will Knox be activated in bootloader?
4. Can I downgrade back to 4.2.2? Without tripping Knox?

But on this special point, because you're german, by european law, you're allowed to install any OS on any device without voiding warranty, thanks to microsoft's aggressive politic in 90's about linux on computer.
Europe's not so bad after all ....
I advise you to reset to stock rom anyway if you need warranty support. Do a nice nandroid backup.

Sprint S4 and Towelroot - Discussion

So Towelroot is working on many S4 variants... But ours. Bummer.... So close. I started this thread in hopes that an authority on the subject might chime in on possible reasons as to why. Also Towelroot has gotten quite a bit of attention as a proof of concept for a major security flaw in Android devices. What are your opinions on that?
Its witchcraft! Burn those responsible at the stake!!
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
This is bad news. I've been wanting to try towelroot for the past 2 days, asking around if it works on our Sprint S4. Do you think it'll ever work on ours? If it works on Sprint Note 3 there's no reason why it shouldn't.

I can say first hand it is completely safe to attempt to run towelroot... It will not trip Knox or the flash counter, etc, etc... It just does nothing. If you watch a video if towelroot in action you will see text after you “make it ra1n"... But on our devices it just says black below the button then resets the phone.
There is a list of devices that says the sprint s4 works with towel root.
http://www.droidviews.com/root-att-and-verizon-galaxy-s5-without-voiding-knox-warranty/
Noticed that towelroot has been updated to version 2- no more reboot. May give it a try. However, I just read an article about towelroot saying,
"A flaw in the Android operating system may leave many Android phones and tablets vulnerable to attack, including the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google's own Nexus 5. It's the same flaw that was recently discovered in the Linux kernel, on which Android is based — and a just-released Android "rooting" tool that uses the flaw could make the problem even worse.
Exploiting the flaw on an Android device yields root permissions, or total control of the system. That's not itself malicious, but the exploit could also let attackers remotely download malware, copy the device owner's files and other personal data, disable the device's security apps and create a backdoor for more attacks, according to San Francisco-based security firm Lacoon Mobile Security."
Any thoughts?
A true double edged sword. Kinda scary the Antivirus gave it an OK... Yet android actually warned me. I've read that in Linux systems the bug has been fixed.. However with so many generations and models of phones and tablets it's trickier.
I'd say the best solution would be an apk that can be ran on a rooted device (or with the bug... Not) that fixes or at least blocks it.
That's a negative on version 2... But nothing tripped. Odd thing... It still resets on its own.
noob with sprint sg4

when I say noob I mean noob...I'm new to Android and I have no clue really what I'm doing all I know is that I wanted to be rooted because I used to use iPhone and I'm in jail breaker, which gave me the ability to not be charged out the bottom from Sprint just to tether my unlimited data to my computer. after trying to understand the wholr "rooting" process I gave up ( i suffer with OCD and ADD and that is not a good combination when teaching yourself anything tech...plus if you haven't notice I tend to be long winded and very detailed about very unnecessary information just as this last sentence sorry) Yesterday I came across Towelroot was very skeptical but continued reading as much as I could find and decided after reading "it won harm your device to try" I did..... and it works!!! first try unbelievable... now I just got to try to teach myself what to do now... there is a lot of information in computer language that the typical ex jail breaker doesn't understand....it's going to be a long road ahead of me but from what I've read so far it's going to be great. Thanks!
btw....I read this thread and wanted to reply to let people with the sprint sg4...that it's possible but I wasn't registered .... I guess things happen for a reason! if anyone has some helpful information that they can give me as to bypass the frightening journey me and my OCD andADD have in trying to work through the mass amounts of information in this strange language I sure would love ya for it! lol but what doesn't kill me will only make me smarter. love the site guys!

Works fine on NAE. Download latest towelroot (v3), click the title 3 times, enter "1337 0 1 7380 4 0". Click "Make it rain".
Enjoy root. No KNOX tripped.

What is the reason for entering "1337 0 1 7380 4 0" before making it rain?
Because it doesn't work otherwise. It's a modstring to modify the exploit parameters for our specific device.

Sorry this is absolutely the case, what firestorm942 didn't explicitly mention is that in order to be rooted at all on lollipop, you have to start from rooted KitKat. To see the full process see my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63639949&postcount=2
Yes the process wipes your phone at one point and yes this the only way to be rooted on lollipop
I rooted my Galaxy S4 Active AT&T 5.0.1 oct7 With this tool KingRoot

The problem is kingroot copies all your personal data (including your IMEI) and sends it to a server in China. I recommend against it since I don't trust that for a second. Supersu is known to be safe, stable, and effective

Actually, yes there is
You can accomplish it even if you've already updated to lollipop
Sometimes the correct way of doing things takes a little more effort than the easy way out, but why do something if you don't want to do it right?

If you're on KitKat, root with towelroot. If you're on lollipop use Odin to go back to KitKat then root with towel root, and then you can use the keep root method to update to rooted lollipop

Is it possible to root G900AUCU3BOC4 5.0?

I have a samsung G900AUCU3BOC4 5.0, can it be rooted? And how?
Also, if it can't be rooted, is it possible to change my firmware to tmobile? I changed my carrier to tmobile a while back, but my firmware is at&t.

You've been going around the att forums saying it's possible to root starting from 5.0, it isn't, unless you have solid proof it is stop misleading people.

It's not possible, I assume they mean ping-pong root which won't work.

I'm not talking about the app. I was talking about the root binary. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/aquos-crystal/general/temp-root-306sh-t3129456. Just use the root file. You can also use King root because it uses the same exploit.

So that will work? Also, kingo root gives me an error saying root unsuccessful after it reboots my phone and vibrates 3 times.

That is still not going to work on "THIS" phone with "THIS" lollipop bootloader.
I think you are mixing what worked on other phones (maybe s5) with this particular s5. I'm pretty sure a dev has already thought of and tried that, and if it really worked, you would have been heard about it.
Correct I have the att variant of s5 with 5.1.1 and sadly no root on it as of yet, I can say that kingroot team is researching it as it is close to the top of list for people requesting research, hopefully they will figure it out soon if you happen to have the att variant of s5 and have not gone up to 5.0+ yet then i suggest that you do not do so otherwise your going to have no root and no way to get it yet.
King root
My phone is -
SM-G900A AT&T
Lollipop 5.0 G900AUCU3BOC4
I just used KINGROOT king481.apk
It did take a while and at the ATT splash screen it stop for a few minutes.
Next it rebooted three times........ Root Checker now says it is Rooted.
I have rebooted and turned the phone off 5 times without issue.
Also Titanium Backup Pro installed detecting that the phone was now rooted.
I hope this helps
