Hi, I have a friend who has cracked the screen on his Z1 and is looking to get it fixed. I've had a read through the forum and the only specific information I can find on the Z1 is how to replace it yourself (which looks a bit messy), there's a recommendation to use CPW for a Nexus 4 on another forum section but I would appreciate if anyone has any recommendations for the Z1 particularly given the weather sealing.

That is still classified from a parts perspective as an L36H, isn't it? If so yes.
So the digitizer is cracked, or both it and the LCD? I have seen digitizers separate

They would be difficult to separate though, and may end up busting the LCD anyhow.

Thanks for the reply. The touch input doesn't work anymore but the LCD still shows images. I heard the lcd and the digitizer are fused and pretty much impossible to to separate. I just want to make sure Im buying th3 correct part since these parts are picey.

Motherboards New can be aout $200 I found a guy here in the UK that sells second hand Xperia Z (C6603)motherboards i bought
one but one of the tabs was broken so i sent it back...in the mean time i found the fault with the old one and its now working just great

im wondering, i know the z1 and z1s are basically the same device with the z1s being the tmobile variant. can anyone confirm the back (shattered) glass is the same from the z1 to the z1s? i have searched high and low for the specific z1s back that says tmobile...cannot find anything but the stock z1 glass.
im fine with the z1 glass, actually id like to debrand the phone as much as possible but...i need to know it fits prior to ordering.

Due to the fact that they have slightly different dimensions, maybe the back glass dimension will be different too i think...
Maybe go to the store and compare the back panel of those physically?

Of course you wont find z1 in official stores
try 3rd party (I dont know what to call them ) stores? (the not official ones, but have a nice reputation)
this poor chap is a year old...
No official store wants to put a "high end" phone which has 2 big brothers already released and whose price has dropped to around $30-40, and has specs which are not typically "high-end" anymore according to current market.

Here is the problem, following by my question.
The Display is broken by wearing in pants pocket, so the digitizer is only working partially.
I'm in the stage searching the replacement parts.
This is the minimum I suggest to these
- Same quality as original to the touch panel
- Same quality as original to the LCD
It will also be nice having
- A more tough Display than the original
- A assembly as easy and complete as possible reparing the Phone (Tools and sealing)
And now my questions
- As I'm living in Germany, are there suppliers fetching the needings as described in that country ?
- Can one recommend suppliers around the world fetching the needings and "nice to have" ?
- Is it also possible replacing the battery by a powerfully one ?
I found some supplier (can't link them this time) in UK and US, the pricing for the LCD, Digitzer and Chassis is about 60 EUR in UK and 32 EUR in US (included shipping).

Search for Sony service point in your region and ask them to order the needed parts, I wouldn't spend money on imitation parts.

I think also I have to do so, it seems not easy find myself original parts.
Have to look for the price to these parts too, so I will not pay the half the phone cost this days.
If the parts are to expensive, I want buy parts that become a good assessment from affected people.

I got one from ebay, it was broken, got one from aliexpress, it seems ok, but it was way of the original one. So please, would you help me out and post some online shops, even in your native language that sells genuine xperia zr lcd assembly? It needs to have lcd, touchscreen and frame alltogether.
