Notification Favorite Is Gone? - Samsung Galaxy Gear

i am getting notifications on my Gear and can tap them when they popup to see the message or whatever. all i have changed is i switched to Watch Styler and now i no longer have the "Notifications" favorite?
when i had it until just a few minutes ago i could tap it and see Gmail, FB, G+ etc... and view previous alerts.
i looked in Gear Manager and it is not listed anywhere to add it to favorites or anything and its just there.
any thoughts as to something i may have done and how to get it back?
thanks

NULL_18 with Aroma mainly stock setup with no Nova on 1.6 Gear Manager.
maybe i have to wipe and re-install?
weird it was there all day.

tried wiping cache and dalvik and no luck

reset without restore was only solution and now its back.

Anyone else resolve this? I prefer not to restart

Reset without restoring does the job.
Had the same issue.

Sadly had to reset. So anytime I change the icons in the settings will delete Notifications? I can't even access Notifications in the Gear Manager My Apps. Quite sad.

You should not have any problems with notifications tab now. I haven't since I reset.

I don't think it ever existed in gear manager?
Just one of those things that requires a reset to appear (usually because of permissions). Not uncommon for android

I had the same problem running Null 18 and GM 1.6. Resetting was the only way to fix. EVERYTIME you try to modify your favorites apps on GM Notifications icon will disappear again and again the only fix is resetting your Gear. I did it three times just to be sure

I can not get to the settings on my KFHD

Folks;
For some reason, I can no longer get to the settings on my KFHD 7 any longer. As well, the buttons that usually appear on the bottom of the screen (Home, and the like) no longer show there - except briefly at times.
Is there some other way to get into settings for this device? I'd like to perform a factory reset, but can't get to it.
TIA;
Patrick
Are you rooted? Do you have gmail installed? I noticed gmail will glitch the notification bar at times.
if you installed GMail, try opening it and then exiting. That usually clears up the disappearing status bar for me. If hit, try holding the power button to do a re boot. Maybe twice.

The device is rooted, has GAPPs. Starting Gmail doesn't seem to clear this up.
I note that when I start Gmail, the icons flash in for a moment, and then disappear. They also do the same if I select 'Setting' from the Gmail menu upper right.

tried the Gmail app start to bring back the system menu. No joy. Have rebooted a number of times; sometimes by holding the power button until the device shuts off, most times by holding the power button, and selecting 'shut down' from the menu that appears. No luck with that, either.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Same thing happened to me. Turns out anytime GMail got mail it touched the notification bar. Going into GMail and reading the new message Fixed it. I turned off notifications for GMail and no problems since.

I suggest you turn off notification for all apps you have loaded or updated. Then go into each app and close out all pending notices like unread chat threads of phone messages. One of your apps is trying to display an alert that is bugging the notifications bar.
You can try to find a settings shortcut app or if you install a secondary launcher, you can get it in from their settings screen. I'm not sure if ADW launcher EX had that option but I just installed Go Launcher EX and the settings drawer button will take you to the stock kindle settings page.

Also, you can try NookColor Tools - it will give you access to all settings.

How do you turn off notifications? If that's in settings, I can start settings. If it's in the Gmail app, then it's too late, as I already uninstalled it.
It's a poser. Thinking now about how to uninstall other google things (framekwork, etc.) to try an clear this.

Drag down from the top of the screen. Select more, then applications, then notification settings. Un check all or most and test
A factory reset wouldn't be too bad, unless you put a TON of things on there and it's just too much work. I did a factory reset on mine already. When I was playing around and trying out different combinations and what works and what not, some how I had used up 3 GB of data already Also if anything was broke, it should be cleared out and just watch each app you install. I had to do that to figure out my battery drain problem.
I figured out what I wanted to install and the correct way of getting certain apps installed, I haven't reached 1 GB of used data yet. I'm glad to have done a reset.

I'd love to be able to do this. That's the problem, though, is that I can't get to the settings on this tablet. Is there some other way to start this app?

If there's some way to do a factory reset without using the settings, I'd do it. I'm not worried about re-installing.
I think the problem started when Amazon turned off the advertisement/lock screen. Before then, all was working well.
Since this started, I've un-installed as many apps a I can. Does anyone know how to uninstall something that doesn't show up in the 'apps' section of the phone?

In my case the top bar was available for a few seconds after rebooting. Enough time to clear notifications. It didn't bug until the first notification posted to the top bar.

There were many suggestions already on how to get to the settings page so you can do a system restore. I know for a fact you can do it with go launcher ex.
ADW launcher EX will probably do the same thing also. Just click on the three bar on the top right corner when it's installed and running and I believe there was an option to select settings, then you can get to the amazon system restore page.
Problem solved. I was trying to side-load a launcher to see if it would expose some way to get to the 'settings' on the KFHD, and I was told that loading of foreign apps was disabled. When I clicked OK to change that setting, it took me to a section of the settings that allowed me to reset the KFHD to factory default. I did so, and everything seems to be working again.
Maybe this will help anyone else with the issue.

Gmail notification plays with the notification bar and even clears the custom kindle name to "My Kindle". Removed the gmail notification from Gamil app to fix the issue.:good:

Watch on in notification bar

Ok this is driving me crazy, randomly the app watch on will pop up in my notification bar. I disable it and it will just pop up again at a random time. Does anyone know how to permanently remove? besides freezing it of course

This just started happening to me the other day. I don't understand why because it hasn't done it before. I too disabled the notification and it automatically turns itself back on. I cleared the data and started over but that did not help. I froze the app with tbu a little bit ago because I rarely use it. It is frustrating because that is one of the only Samsung apps that I like. I too would like to know of a fix for it.

holllly cow. I have been battling this for 3 days now. I thought it was just my phone being supper glitchy. I have gone as far as to uninstall the app... witch will stop it from comming up in the notification bar. Then i re download it from play store. After about 4 reboots it comes back. I will set it in the setting to not come on in notification pannel. Boom its back. No way to stop it..... same with a few other apps. Its like they do not close the correct way and do not save the settings. My swannview dvr app is one more that wont save settings because it won't close correctly.
I don't know if this narrows it down but I noticed when I had wifi turned off I never got it but the second I turned it back on it started popping up again.
I have the same problem. This morning, while trying to disable the notification bar setting again, I got nag popup about allowing Watchon to use mobile data or only wifi. I selected the allow mobile data option and do not ask me again. Now, I can't find the setting to change it back to see if that would affect the notification bar problem. I don't want to test all of the settings because I would lose the devices that I have setup. I assume the problem is caused by an update to Watchon. The only thing I have changed recently us switching to Nova Launcher. Could this be related?

Judging by this I would assume it is the location settings that is triggering this. Try to go to system settings > More > Location services > My places > Choose the places and click none. I can't confirm this works, but it seems that this is triggering for the problem. Also note this isn't a great solution; other location services may be affected with this change.
This is caused by the latest WatchOn update.
I use WatchOn since the day I get my S4 Active (2 months ago) and this NEVER HAPPENED before the update.
I had to disable WatchOn with TB.
Another example of Samsung messing up good stuff!

It has nothing to do with location services. All of mine were already set to none, and I have the same problem.

Sorry then, it must have been the WatchON lock screen location settings I was thinking of. No clue, honestly.
So did this ever get worked out? I just got the note 3 and am already seeing this behavior.
SOLUTION!..
Here is how i disabled remote control on notification panel and lock screen.
Its on Watchon Settings.
watch work done
This is what I did:
Settings
More
Application Manger
Samsung WatchOn
Remove the check for "Show Notifications"
This doesn't stop the program from starting on powerup, but it removes it from the notifications.
This is a thread that should be closed. The problem was fixed by an update. I can confirm that it did exist at one time, but the only people that still have thre problem either have not updated or they have not changed their settings.

Switching off Alarm

I know this might sound like totally NOOB but I just cant get my way around this problem.
The alarm on my Gear kept on going off even after 4 hours after its actual time.
I can't find any setting related to alarm clock on my Gear. I've switch off all alarm on my Note 3.
When the alarm goes on, the only option I have is to dismiss it... then a few minute it went on again...
Anyone can help me with this.
Thanks!

On your phone, go into Application Manager and try clearing the cache and clearing the data. You might need to re-pair and reconfigure your app settings in the Gear Manager afterwards.
I had an Atooma notification constantly coming to my Gear, even after I uninstalled it from the watch and phone.
I can;t remember if I just cleared the cache, or the data as well for Gear Manager, but one of them stopped the notifications coming through to the Gear.

Removal of Twitter Quick View from Notifications screen

I would like to know if it's possible to load the Twitter QuickView app and not have it dormant on the notifications screen. I have uninstalled it but this remains. I'd like to remove it.
I prefer to use the native Twitter app on the phone as notifications can be viewed on the Gear and then deleted. Quickview takes ages to load and often doesn't even open.
Any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem with the facebook QuickView app - I uninstalled it and still it hung out in notifications. If you reset your Gear that'll take care of it.

Yeah, that wasn't my first choice either.
I have a folder with some notification sounds and apk's that I just adb to the watch, so restoring after a backup is fairly quick. I haven't used Wondershare, but I hear good things. Happy resetting!
