ya i agree....And 2.1 has many optimizations than that of google tc....i just released that to test...which is more smooth sabermod (v2.1) or googletc....:good:

I tested your 2.1 sabermod optimized kernel and i like it i'm surprised for the great battery life reached i hope you will be interested in updating it if you want, because i appreciate your hard but definitely good work

android development or original android development may be the right place for this...

Fantastic kernel...better battery life with high performance! this kernel is my new kernel!!

Just flashed this kernel today and was wondering what would be the recommended governor for battery life?
Thank you for this kernel though

[FIX][SOURCE] Camera Flicker

Updated kernels that now include this fix:
.35 = francos v1.1-02102011 and newer
.32 = fserves gbs v18b2 and newer
It seems that some phones experience camera flicker when overclocking and some don't.
Example of Camera Flicker
I noticed that I didn't experience camera flicker with Paulos .35 kernel so I dug through his sources and found the routine that solved my problem.
Note - I'm not a developer and I've only tested this with francos .35 sources.
Extract acpuclock.c to arch/arm/mach-msm and compile
I've contacted franco and fserve via PM with my findings and I know that franco is including it in his next release. However, if you can't wait.... do it yourself!!
THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP.
is it .35 only, right?

I don't think so. I know that I get camera flicker with both francos and your .32 kernels but not with Zacks. He has also implemented this or some variation (wish I could see his sources).
If you'll compile golldenleaf or gbs with this fix I'll test it for you.

I hate people that don't share their sources... It's completely against GPL. But well like I told you before thanks for that finding. I'll update my .32 and .35 when I have time.
CAF FTW! =), nice finding btw!
CAF patches/code can do wonders sometimes ;D
well that sounds good waiting for franco next release along with the integration

Guess where he got the CAF patches from...
1. No, smartass it's obsolete, you have smartass2
2. No, recompile the kernel yourself if you want vsync off
3. No, there's plenty of documentation and explanations about that

He does now in his newest versions but he applied this fix in version 3.3 or something (sites down now can't confirm the version number). This is when he stated in his changelog that he applied Paulos camera fix.
He also neglected to mention that he was using francos sources as his base (so wrong). Comparing franco and Zacks changelog and looking at the date/time stamps it's hard to argue this.
Edit - Sorry franco I didn't see you post before I began mine.

A month ago I didn't know either, here's how I did it:
Search engine + your deductive reasoning skills + trial and error = success. I'm sorry if this sounds like a smartass response but there are lot of tutorials out there.

[KERNEL][3.4.53+] Byte Kernel 7/16/13 *Updated-AGAIN*

I'm going to start this off by saying that I picked the commits for this kernel and compiled it for MYSELF and I decided to share it with everyone else(I was already making myself a Nexus 4 kernel but the repo was a bit messy so I started over for the sake of organization). None of the code in the kernel is mine. Credit for it belongs with these organizations/ individuals:

EDIT:
second download worked..i did the exact same thing as before so I do not know what was the difference..
i will let you know how the kernel does..
EDIT 2:
First Impressions:
On FauxClock it says all the voltages are 1300mhz....so i would suggest using Trickster or Franco Kernel Updater
you may want to UV it a little bit out of the box..it is set pretty high...other than that i see no issues OOB

Just a note, GPL dictates you must provide kernel source within 80 days of public release. I know we're not at that limit but thought I might say something since I didn't see source linked in the OP.

[REQ] Tester for 3.13.8 kernel

Hey guys, I just got the latest 3.13.8 kernel booting on our device. However, I cannot test everything myself, which is why I could use a tester/some testers, preferably from different continents, as this heavily affects stability.
BTW, I also added OC up to 2.2GHz, which my device can handle surprisingly fine
Please be aware of the fact, that this offer is available for just a few hours

Ahahahah, why not Android 6.2.1 Sneakers? If @laufersteppenwolf made a joke, it's a little better, cause 3.13.8 has been released yesterday for Linux, even if it seems almost impossible to be ready for Android on our p880.. But who knows, we'll see XD

lol the overclock at 2.2 Ghz clearly states it was a joke, unfortunately.

Well, there's a tiny, but nonetheless important, difference in the way you changed the android version the kernel version cannot be changed via build.prop

why not? As already mentioned, grouper can go up to 2GHz, and they've got a bit weaker Tegra 3 version than we do on our phone
Actually I'd be very much happier if we manage to get a good battery life with 1500 Mhz Max... 1700 Mhz is awesome with iodak, but yeah it dies in 1 hour or less.
2.0 Ghz and good battery life would be like getting a Samsung S4 for free lol.
Alright, let's clean things up
As you already might have guessed, this was of course an april's fool There is no 3.13.8 kernel for our device, heck, I don't think there's a 3.13 kernel for any mobile device yet
Sorry guys, but I just couldn't resist
