yeah., but DSP is the best simple one for Atrix rather than all Viper/FX/beatsDTS etc...
But I read a solution in some Google+ page of our devices(Razr/atrixhd) may b 3 months back., It was working ., (some file deletion made it work)
Now i cannot find it back.,

Poweramp is a beautiful application.

He's looking for equalization, not a music player.
I would also like to know of an alternative, I primarily listen to Google play music.

Well it seemed it was for music, poweramp has an equalizer in it.

I'll second PowerAmp as far as good players with good DSP settings go. My headphone jack is jacked up and doesn't work so I've not used DSP Manager since CM10.0.
On my Defy I use both PowerAmp and DSP Manager at the same time. Double EQ + Slight Compression is ear heaven...depending on genera/song/artist/headphone/car that is.... I just use the MusicFX switch in PA to disable dsp manager if the bass is too much from compression or the 2nd eq....or I'm in the truck.

MP3 Players

With the large number of apps out there to play mp3 files, I was wondering what the current opinion over which one has the best look/functionality/features etc. over the built in (sense build) music player. Free or paid app. The built in htc/android player doesn't seem as good as it's winmo counterpart.

Music3
PowerAmp
Mixzing Player with Graphic EQ (great sound Quality)
Recommend Winamp. If you use winamp on PC then you can wireless sync music between phone and PC. I find it great as I have wifi on when my phone is docked (+ it's free)

Also vote for winamp. I dont use it on PC (stopped since version 3), but using it in Android for some time. Extra feature I like about it is that plays shoutcast streams.
Yeah winamp is great and clean...I Also recommend Music3...the widget is stunning!
I recommend WinAmp Not to keen on Music3..
recommend: poweramp

Tried most...purchased Poweramp...if you knew me you would understand what a ringing endorsement that is.
My daughter's favorite is the Miui Player (the APK is here on XDA somewhere). She loves the lyric feature...and I admit it's kinda cool. But for sound quality....Poweramp.
Oh I also use the Mortplayer audio book player...if you listen to audio books you can't beat it.

PowerAmp is best. EQ customization is off the hook. You get sounds that are better than Ipod quality.

Music player

Hey guys, I was wondering what music player you use on your cappy and why that specific music player.

Miui strictly because I can add favorites with a single tap of the finger.
+1 to MIUI
My only complaint is that the songs in the album list are alphabetical not by track number

Poweramp, because of the flashy features already mentioned, and one major one - it saves my playlists across flashes, unlike winamp and others I've tried.
I tried power amp but found it had too much distortion even at lower volume. Couldn't take it.
I am using Songbird at rhe moment. It is good, but I miss some features though.

PlayerPro. It's just the best out there, period. Has every feature that the other players are missing and the ones they have.

I second that. PowerAmp is pretty good but it distorts whenever the CPU reaches 100% load. It distorts a lot to the point that it's unusable. Winamp is good too but the widget is ugly.

music player

Hi all, I am looking for a music player that has got the following features :

You can use power amp with dsp, download and flash dsp manager, than download terminal emulator, open app, write "su" (super user permission), than write "snd 3254". tested with all cm and aokp

I can confirm that Gear is working with poweramp, it can control music and display metadada ( song name etc...). Just open a music file with an file.explorer and set the type of file.to be open with de desired program. After that the gear will work work with it.

did you have to do anything to it? i wonder if i rooted the note and deleted the samsung music app if that would help?
I couldnt get google music to play. Even if google music was active in memory, if I pressed next track on media player on watch - Samsung player would play.
I needed a way to make google music the default player. Google search turned up:
Default App Manager Lite (free)
By appiator
Just use the above app to make google music your default music app. Now gear always plays google music. Plus no need to uninstall Samsung music player or root gn3.

SO, just to be 100% clear before I drop $300 lol, this will make it so the stock Gear music controller controls PowerAmp? As well as S Voice launching through PowerAmp for music? My Motoactv just died and the only way I could justify moving away from it is if this had proper remote features to the PowerAmp since I need my custom EQs for my 86 BMW's speakers. If this is all true, as long as I love my Note 3 coming Monday I will be ordering a Gear ASAP! Thanks in advance guys!
It seems that you need to start the desired music player first on the phone. After that all the commands from gear goes to the opened app. That's my case. I tried to set power amp as the default with app manager lite but it seems that doesn't work.
Sent from my C6802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Wait, I'm confused. It appears that some are talking about controlling PowerAmp on the Note through the Media Controller while some are talking about running it on the Gear itself. I want to know if I can use the Music controllers on music players besides Samsung's. Also, I've heard that as soon as the Gear times out and the display turns off that you have to navigate back to the media controls. Is this true and is there any way to avoid it?

Thats where I'm sorta confused myself. I wanna know if I can use my gear to control Poweramp on my phone. Everytime I use the Media Controller, it opens up Samsung music app. As for when the display turns off, I press the power button on the Gear and it's still in the Media Controller. Its cool how it shows song of name etc.
