Email App that sends/receives/syncs via Bluetooth? - Samsung Galaxy Gear

I've done a bit of searching but can't find any email apps that work over a Bluetooth connection. I have tablet talk working so I have Bluetooth texting working fine on my gear (null rom 15) but would it would be nice if there was an email app that allowed Bluetooth syncing like tablet talk does for sms. Also in the same vein, if there was a calendar app that updated over Bluetooth that would be great. Basically, trying every way possibly to keep from needing to have to use internet Bluetooth tethering as it is slow, cumbersome and a battery hog (no fault of devs, just how BT internet tethering is by nature). If anyone knows of any apps that allow or could be tweaked to use BT to sync as I described please list them! Thanks!

I want to instal yahoo messenger on my O2 XDA IIs / XDA III (HTC Blue Angel) Specs

I have tried downloading yahoo messenger and it said the phone does not support the application. But I use yahoo messenger more than the MSN that the phone came with.
I cant aldo use youtube on my phone
Finally, I need a navigator/GPS to help me locate where I am going to. This phone is new to me and I will appreciate if anyone can help.
Iyke
For youtube use youtubeplay: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385227
or use the official application.
For GPS I would recommend getting a bluetooth GPS receiver and getting the maps for your area.
For yahoo I cannot help.
Thank you so much Cmstackar...But I am still sorry if I sound dumb about these things, but I dont know what a Blutetooth GPS receiver is or whether I need to buy r download one.
I would be glad if u could help me with this final query and hopefully another person would direct me on yahoo messenger
Bluetooth GPS connects through you're phone wirelessly. You could also download and use Google maps if you have a data plan, but you would not be able to tell where you are. Here is an example of a Bluetooth GPS:

Also a HOLOX BT-321 will work well.

which IM for yahoo, msn do you use?

Hi,
So far I couldn't find any yahoo or msn messenger for android. Is there any?
Which IM for yahoo, msn do you use ?
Is there any IM for android which connects directly to the yahoo/msn server (unlike meboo, ebuddy)?
Is there any messenger which supports multi gmail accounts?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there
Try Truphone or Fring
ebuddy works great
Hi Msn is working flawlessly for me, although i am unsure if it supports yahoo messenger.
There is also an app called NimBuzz which supports windows live, yahoo, AIM, Skype, Facebook, Gtalk, My space, ICQ.. and soo much more...
Check it out.. i use it mostly for Skype Calls but everything else seems to work amazing when i first set it up.
There are also several apps that work without extra Server.
I'm using ICQ and MSN. I can't say anything about yahoo...
By far the best App I have tested was IM+. Too sad it costs way too much...
The built-in t-mobile app also connects directly. I used it for several days. works fine (ICQ is the same protocol as AIM)
but now I'm on Meebo. I like to have the same History on Phone and PC.
the "IM" app that comes on CM roms (i believe its the T-Mobile one) is a great app that works great, only downside is on Rogers network you cannot connect as it will try and verify by sim. You will need to be on wifi to use "IM" but i still love this app
i also use Nimbuzz but have had some issues as of late with it dropping (could be the phone too )
hi yahoo
there is a hi yahoo app. works well for me, but right now i go back & forth between meebo & ebuddy.
I just dun like the way all these messenger design. These company can make better layout, fonts and feature for Iphone and why not Android? Just disappointed.
IM+ (the conversation layout very very bad. Words too small can't change font and stupid color)
Palringo (All the buddy(contact) squeeze into one. Very difficult to locate friend)
Meebo ( I hate to login meebo inorder to use MSN/Yahoo, buddy layout very bad)
MSN Droid (Not bad so far. Only support MSN and no yahoo.)
ebuddy ( Another one need ebuddy account. conversation fonts too small)
Android IM ( So far so good but will disconnect if phone go to sleep. Maybe its design to work with SMS)
You guys forgot BuddyMob
Plus: You can choose your own Messenger Picture, MultiLogin (connect from your homecomputer AND your Android Phone the same time) is supported, swipe function is included
Minus: No Ring for MSN, no Send Files, no smileys
Used it for months, now i'm looking for something new
eBuddy works for me... careful with gtalk though - it sets your status to an ad.
On the MyTouch 3G there is an almost sort of half-decent app which includes MSN, Yahoo and I think it is AIM. At least you get to see your buddies online and it is over the data network, but as mentioned already you have to be on wi-fi to sign in unless you are on T-Mobile's data network as the phone uses only T-Mo's SIM info (and wifi) to let you sign in. The question is, is there a way to tweak the app so that you can use any carrier and still sign in from the data on your SIM, and how can this be done? I am nearly sure it can be. Can anyone help?
I've been using meebo without any problems.
anyone knows which IM app can do group chats? like in a conversation with more than 2 person? I know ebuddy can't do that... it's really frustrating!
I've found that when using ANY im program it's hard NOT to get dc'd. I have settled on using msn live which is free from the marketplace.it still dc's every now and then but at least now I can have a direct shortcut to msn on my desktop instead of just a general IM shortcut. hope this helps.
I found a Windows Live app (plainly called MESSENGER) on Android Market. It is quite good indeed! I installed it on my Hero and MyTouch 3G After a few days it would not function on the Hero - only force close whenever I launched the app. I uninstalled it from the Hero thereafter. Still works on my MyTouch 3G though. I cannot find it on Android Market anymore - not sure why not.
I use QQ!!!!!!Hoho!!
msn has an official app called MSN Droid, its pretty sick
and they were saying something about a yahoo one coming out soon
try nimbuzz

[Q] 3G Data only seems to work with certain applications

Hey guys, just got my SGS and really love it. However there seems to be a certain weird problem that totally ruins my use of the phone.
Just to mention that i've already searched the web for similar problems but didnt find anything useful.
On WiFi, everything works perfect. (Gmail, other pre-installed email app, Browser, Youtube, Facebook by Facebook, Facebook for S!, Syncs with everything, you name it!)
On 3G however, i can only get the browser and build-in email client to work. (and that cute little Accuweather widget to refresh) While these are working, for some strange reason all the other apps (GMAIL, Youtube, Facebook for facebook, Syncing) dont recognise a network connection.
Isn't it weird for some to be working and others not to be working at the same time?
Well thats the main problem, tried everything, limiting only to 2G, factory reset etc. Is there a possible solution? Thank you in advance, keep up the good work.
+problem: Facebook for Samsung works in both 3g and Wifi but does not load any pics whatsoever!.... anyone's help will be much appreciated
Bump for same problem with my unlocked ATRIX. Did you ever get it working?

[Q] Sync via Wifi not edge/3G - Galaxy S

Hi Guys,
I noticed all the data syncs (google syncs in particular like GoMarks, then a currency program i have ) going on with galaxy s (froyo) - if i turn data comm off - it doesnt sync via wifi.
comparing with iphone - you could have all sync via wifi.
Am I doing something wrong ?
Thx
not sure what is wrong with your phone, if anything.
but my calendar, emails, phone book and other stuff syncs normally when i'm on WiFi
check your settings perhaps?
did you install any app that might give you some choices related to that?
It may be that your wifi has not all ports open.
sync uses gtalk for the push notifications. Check if you can connect to gtalk when on wifi.

[Q] Opinions: Wifi, Rom or Kernel Issue?

Here is the issue I have run into:
I am currently running Perception 10.2 and Firebird 2 v0.4. Recently background syncing will not happen while I am connect to a specific Wifi. Background syncs work fine while at home on wifi and on 3G.
What makes this specific Wifi unique is its a guest wifi at work and needs authentication with username/password. I normally open a browser and authenticate I am usually good for the day unless i get disconnected for a while. This has worked for me in the past as long as I am authenticated with wifi. I remember this working on Perception 10.1 with the default kernel just fine.
So no gmail or google voice notifications unless I open the specific app (At that point notifications are pointless). Just opening the app seems to trigger a sync and I get new messages, but never until I open the app. Gmail and Google Voice are the only two apps I am noticing, although I am betting Contacts and Calendar are doing the same thing.
So before I start flashing back to stock or another rom/kernel I am looking for opinions. You think they might have changed the wifi on me and blocked something? Seems if they had it wouldn't sync even after opening the app.
[UPDATE]
Found out through loading mutliple ROMS including Stock ROM, this must have been a wifi network change. Curse you Wifi Admins!
