In case there are few of you that dont like the bootanimation and dont know how to change it follow up below
Changing Bootanimation (Manually)
To use this method, you will need a file manager app with Root access. In this quicktip, we will be using the Root Browser app.
1. Download a custom boot animation you want to use by choosing the animation you want to use and downloading the associated bootanimation.zip file. (Here is another place to find custom animations to use.)
2. Open Root Browser (or your file manager) app and once inside, locate your original boot animation file (bootanimation.zip) in /system/media.
3. Long-press the file, choose Rename and name it to bootanimation.zip1 or bootanimation.zip.bak

4. Next, browse to the custom boot animation that you want to switch to, copy the zip file to /system/media. Long-press, choose Permission.
5. Tick the boxes as shown in the screenshot below, and press OK. After that, rename the file to bootanimation.zip, if the zip file name is different.
Note: You have to make sure that the file name is correct (bootanimation.zip) for the system to recognize your boot animation, and boot properly.

6. Now you should be able to see two zip files, one, bootanimation.zip (new file) and the other is bootanimation.zip1 (original).
Note: If you ever want to switch back to your original boot animation, delete the current bootanimation.zip and rename the original file back to bootanimation.zip (from bootanimation.zip1).
7. Reboot the device and you will be able to see your new custom boot animation!

This issues we have on 90% 4.4. ROMs (((
I have no this only on Commotio..
You can try use brightness control from Xposed Gravity box - it helps me for some time on Validus..

What about the screen scroll lag? I was on stock with pure performance & boy, no lag at all.
I tried pp on this & it booted but what a mess! Restored.

Build day is different from logs because op is a c/p from a different device.
As long is same version is all good

I haven't been following closely with cutom rom since stable CM 10.1. What exactly is the brightness issue everyone is talking about on 4.4 ROMs and is it severe enough that it would cause problem as a daily driver?

Still have some lags with automatic brightness... (
But no other & works better with arrrghhh`s lastest CM11 kernel!
Anyway to get weather in lockscreen off metric? I tried changing in news, and weather, but had no effect on the lockscreen.
other than that, this rom is running pretty smoothly. Do have the slight graphical glitch when turning the screen on, but noticed it on other 4.4 roms as well.
Make another widget on lockscreen and choose clock widget same as the default one and change the settings. That will be how I do it

I've been running my own nightlys for a while now and figured I'd share with the community

the original dev thread is official AOKP supported.
Mine is unofficial. as of right now both are practically the same but when I start cherry picking this will be the same as that one plus extra features

I've posted about this in droidrazr forums, but nobody's been able to help yet. Since v3.5, I can't flash Validus. I get the error "set metadata recursive; some changes failed. Status 7." I've tried flashing with TWRP 2.6.3.0 and 2.6.3.1 as well as CWM 6.0.4.4, 6.0.4.5, and now the latest Philz touch. Clean flashes and dirty. With ROM Manager and without. Nothing works. I just wanna get back down with the clowns!!!

FIX STATUS 7 ERROR
make sure that the Validus rom you have downloaded matches your phone model, if you flashed some other rom, you may hard brick your device.
1. First extract your rom (for example using 7-zip)
2. Go to the folder META_INF > COM > GOOGLE > ANDROID
3. Here you will find a file "updater-script"
4. Open this file with Notepad + +
5. delete text, starting from "assert ....... till the semicolon(of the last getprop command. (see image in attached file-lines to delete)
7. Now save the file
8. now go back to the main rom folder where you extracted the 3 files. zip these files again. and you will get a zipped rom.
and the status 7 error has now been removed!

Glad that you like it same as me. This rom is so stable that i dont even look at what next rom i should try. Lol Plus Im down with the clowns. Lol
Did a small test of this ROM can't wait to see if my apps backup installs. If that works this will be a great daily. Just need to change the boot animation. Sorry not into the clown otherwise I really like what I see.

They should install without a problem. I restored 127 apps (NOT counting full stock gapps) from external sd without problems and still runs great without a lag.

I'm using the xt926, but I've recently moved to Australia and I'm on Telstra. Any idea on how I can fix this with this rom? I've played with the smsc settings per standard search results and nothing. I also can't make selection on touch tone menus. If I call my bank and it says press 1, I'll do that, but nothing happens.

Do you mean yoi dont have the mms app or that it doesnt work?

sms doesn't work. There are a lot of threads on this problem, none for the razr hd that I can see, but basically, everything seems to point to the smsc number, which I've tried all of the telstra ones. All of the 4.4.2 roms worked fine for me in the US for sending sms, but for some reason here I can only receive sms, but I can send mms. The APN section in the settings is grayed out, so I can't edit those, but I did replace the apns-conf.xml file from the rom that was working, but it didn't solve the problem. And I've tried hangouts, default messaging app and handscent. Data and phone calls work, just can't send sms.

-Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.

-After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.

battery draining too fast.....for me deep sleep is not working....
ROM in thread works. Bug #1 Camera app - Camera and front camera work pretty well. I tried everything to try to get it to do the 'cannot connect to camera error' but it wouldn't. However, attempting to click on record a video crashes camera app immediately

Flash Instructions
1. Download Evolution-X Fastboot ROMinstaller ( These zip inciude both payload_dumper and fastboot_installer ) and extract zip in pc
2. Copy the playload.bin file from Rom.zip file to payload_dumper >> payload_input folder
3. Now Run payload_dumper.exe
4. Wait for extractions
5. After extracting completes, go to payload_output folder and copy all the images files to the fastboot_installer folder
6. Now connect your device to pc
7. Reboot your device into fastboot mode
8. Now Run ROMinstaller.exe
9. It's reboot your device into fastbootd mode
10. Wait for all images flashing completes
11. Now select recovery mode
12. Do factory reset your device ( Not required if updating rom )
13. If you want to use magisk then flash < Zip Name>.zip via adb sideload ( optional )

Damm ! Great work dev, simply loved the customisations and overall batt and performance.
Been playing games like cod and pubg for around 4 hours without lags and performance drop even when in high temperature. Multitasking ms teams and presentation and no problem whatsoever.
I guess Crdroid and Evox is the stick around for long time for the various reasons.
Thank you for picking this dev @chandu dyavanapelli, was sort of heart burned after the last update.
