Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Lol...sim phone book isn't a bug, it's just something not supported by AOSP...bout the camera and files, can't tell because it's device specific...

More than likely not. Most all ROMS now only work with unlocked bootloaders and you install them via CWM or TWRP
@Ryuinferno - we still have no lockscreen notifications?

Is anyone running this rom on our phone? Not much activity on this thread. The rom looks promising, but I'm getting a little burnt out on flashing half-baked roms lately. I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into these roms. Just looking for something that has a nice polished feel to it.

I tried it in my RazrM (unlocked and rooted). It was slower than the slowest snails! I could NOT get wifi on. I reloaded it several times using the usual wipes of data, cache etc but still ran slow as heck and still no wifi. So then I tried to install another kernel (forgot which one though) and still the same problem. So I went to Gummy 4.4.x and it works! Thumbs down to this rom.

What recovery did you use?
I flash this with Philz latest touch CWM and it works pretty good!
I also flash Gummy and both ROMs was smooth on one level!

Yep, I used Philz latest touch CWM. I redid it several times and same results. But, I had no problem installing Gummy using the same method.
I actually just received an unlocked razrM that I bought on line through Swappa a couple of days ago and it may just be the phone. I went back to 4.1.2 cause it is super fast on my other RazM phones. I will do more testing on my new RazrM just to see if maybe the phone is not so good so I can send it back.
I've been using this ROM for about a week now and its great. Its very smooth and I have had very little to no problems with it.

I came from Carbon Kitkat, the only thing that I miss are the lockscreen notifications...
I use this Rom too and it's amazing but it seems like the battery life isn't very good? And if I have a notification and start WhatsApp with halo it's in this window mode but if I want to start it without having a notification it's in fullscreen mode?
Edit: OTA Updates don't work my recovery says installation aborted has anybody a solution?

You probably have CWM installed. I experienced in other roms that CWM doesnt work with OTA updates. You have to use TWRP to get this working (at least this is the case on my Nexus 10).

It could be caused by two reasons:
a) Gapps (/system/app/Provision.apk, /system/app/CalendarProvider.apk etc has unexpected contents.)
b) system files are modified (this includes flashing a custom kernel which replaces system files)
To solve:
1. Format /system (or else old gapps will be restored)
2. Flash full ROM
3. Flash OTA
4. Flash gapps from MoKee Centre
Future updates will be working...unless you are still using a custom kernel, where you must flash back the full ROM or restore the specific files if you know how...

Thanks for the fast answer I have no custom kernel installed and did a full wipe before falshing the rom. Is it possible that the problem is caused by Titanium Backup because I freezed/uninstalled some Apps (Google Apps too). Btw I'm useing CWM. Have you got an idea for solving the other two problems too?

It seems a good rom! The only thing I dont like is the small bar when someone calls you..
It appears only in the bottom of the screen without options like answer with message.. only accept/reject call

Great rom.
Very smooth and no bugs.
I also installed the kernel F4KK and works well.

5. reboot and wait until it boots and than select language and go through the setup wizard

No, it got stuck on Samsung Splash. Trying out boot.img from carbon rom now, carbon booted for me but had no mobile network, maybe this works for me.
Edit: Carbon boot.img did not work, trying to port over the fixed stuff from mokee to carbon, will report back later.

yes, but you have the US TMO g900t while i have the international g900f version.
Odd. I'd think it'd be the other way around since this is an international ROM. Did you check your APNs?

î cannot save APNs if i type them in. I get Baseband and IMEI unknown stuff. I also think its odd that i have CDMA settings at the mobile network settings even though i have a GSM phone. I also already tried to take a quick efs backup from stock firmware and restore it on MoKee but i had no success, still no mobile network / data. It doesnt even ask me for a pin code, it just displays empty signal bars in the status bar. Super odd.

The new sources(4.4.3) is great. Everything work fine, notification for lockscreen is very nice and usable, and Neon theme for cm11 is beautiful, battery life joy me every day. Thank you.
P.s. If i make Russian translation for settings will you add it in your rom?

hm, I disable it in settings and if i install full update of rom it will enable. It disable always. :victory:
guy, got a little problem. I can't install mokee on my device. I am using zxdualrecovery, unlocked bootloader, rooted. File is on my sd card. Using Philz recovery that came with dualrecovery. When I install I get status (7), "set metadata recursive some changes failed". I tried a couple of fixes like disabling verification, and also erasing some portions of the script in updater_binary.
Any ideas? Thanks.

you should flash boot.img manually then use the recovery in it to flash the rom, no CM11 can be flashed with philz touch!

Finally I try MoKee and... it's a great ROM!
I leave Carbon cause to so much bugs (Bluetooth FC with my car radio, Camera button to pause music don't work, torch switch off when screen switch off, etc.)
Mokee don't have any of there bugs, so I enjoy it. :good:

AFTER FIRST FLASH AND BOOT, REBOOT PHONE AND IT SHOULD ENABLE WIFI CONNECTIVITY, IF NOT, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN IT WILL FIX THE ISSUE IF YOU EXPERIENCE ONE. ( THIS WILL FIX WIFI ISSUE. go to developer settings... top of developer settings enter the developer tools area, scroll down to connectivity, and click that. then you will see a checkbox with a check checked in the box. uncheck that box and at top hit enable wifi, afterwards, reboot the phone and you will now have wifi. normally just rebooting the device after first tie flash and startup will configure the wifi automatically.)
I've did a few updates and I've updated the OTA system...as of now, You should be able to go to your MoKee Center under settings and select the option for all update type ALL and then be able to see from now on my OTA NIGHTLY'S GO AHEAD AND WATCH FOR THEM. YOU'LL LIKE THE NEW SETUP WHEN YOU FIRST INSTALL THE NEW BUILD...YOURS TRULY @cfox88. under MoKee center you can click on what version type and it will say unofficial, click it multiple times like you do to find developer options and this will unlock experimental settings. experimental settings will allow you to gain our nightly's.

I'm not having any issues with screenshots on my end. It might be something on yours. I"ll see if I can figure out why you're having that issue with screnshots. Also, I'm not sure if it will work with multirom. That is something you will have to test. This works on all m8 variants. but specifically with multirom!! Not sure.

Oh, my apologies I meant the ones you posted, I have yet to test the ROM out but I would like too. If I end up trying it with multirom I'll let you know.
MoKee was one of my favourites when I had my HOX glad to see it here for my beloved M8 now also

H/K never has worked on GPE or AOSP.

Hey thanks for your work..... Was cruising the Verizon thread and saw your PAC ROM. What's the quick and dirty comparison of the two ROMs?
I would never go away from AOSP ROMs if I could get the Chase banking app to take non blurry pics for check deposits. If you are interested or know someone who might be able to help please let me know. The problem with blurry pics when trying to deposit checks plagues GPE or AOSP ROMs but works perfectly on Sense based ROMs.

All AOSP roms have the distorted issue, once one Rom group fixes it it'll spread like a wildfire to other AOSP Roms.

To install upgrade:

just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)

Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation

probably not since it's based on cm. I would guess if it has theme support it will be through the cm theme engine.

It really is... i have been using Mokee for years and have found it to be the most solid AOSP/CAF rom there is. They are super quick with fixes and have a good updating system. It doesnt get as much recognition as it should. There is consistently 100 downloads for each nightly, so there is probably a good silent following.

It would indicate your device is not supported.
Actually, seems like latest nightly is having issues. Im getting the same error.
So just to refresh your memory and maybe even to share what for me has become a daily driver.
This building is lovely has only those two customizations that typically add as standard specification. The first is Viper4android inevitable on all my device, the second is the button to clean the recen applications at the bottom right, for me these are the only two things that can not miss.
admirably it supports Xposed although not love you but I use it only to remove the advertising of Youtube (if anyone knows another way I would be really grateful I put aware) and then incremental updates do nothing short of fantastic downloading only a few MB 15/20 usually install it and you do not even re-install Xposed.
I usually get 4.30 hours screen on with all the various active notification services never a reboot or a jamming and weather works well without having to download server or various things.
In conclusion if you are looking for a stable rock this is for you.:good:
