here is perfect app which will remove both soft keys from the today screen - it will makes your today longer + soft buttons are still working (this app is not working for inside menu).
just install, soft reset and enjoy. uninstall for reverting back to original.

transparent title and tasks bar?
I was wondering is a way to use this and have the transparent title and tasks bar like in htc album. I think that will be tight.

Yes, my softkey bar was gone, but my today app (Pocketbreeze) did not take up the space (it is set to auto size).
Any ideas as to why that would be?
UPDATE: Got it working. If I added another plug-in (which did use the new space) and then removed it, PocketBreeze expanded to take up the new space. Kinda odd...but I am glad it is now working.

Try renaming the vijaytodayshrink.lnk file in \Windows\StartUp to 1vijaytodayshrink.lnk and do a soft reset. It works for me as it will load the TodayShrink program before the tray itself.

There is no trayapp.ink in startop on my device htc tytn II with windows mobile 6. Thank you.

You might ask if vijay555 is the creator.
I'm guessing because of the vijaytodayshrink.lnk that gets added to the startup folder at install.

Is it VJToggleToday II Alpha?
There's a thread on this forum about it.
It was, and always will be, an Alpha release, as I have since internally updated to Version IV.
However, version IV has not been released yet. If version 2 does the job for you, great. However, it was never designed properly for VGA screens and onthe fly correction (eg when rotating), has an issue with the phone on Palm devices, and doesn't deal with the tray properly.
Hopefully all of those issues are fixed in Version IV (except for the Palm thing, which I can't test!)

PS note that there is a -config command line to allow you to change settings.

an "Auto-Hide" feature would be great on this!!..
(just like the windows one! when you auto-hide the bottom bar)

Like I said, that's just wrong for people to try this crap. VJ's work has been around for a long time and works great, i know many people who use it. To the original poster, get some balls and fess up to stealing someone else's work.

[PRJ-REQ] Tatanium theme: Winmo 7

Hi all,
I saw the winmo 7 video other day in youtube. It looks great but it was like a dejavu for me. I have sony erricsson Xperia X1, in that we have a panel called Media experience, it is more or less the same as new winmo interface. (for those who haven't seen it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEQt8tGUuYg )
The only differences are that instead of txt showing you where you are (each time you get in a folder the name of the txt goes on top, that way you know where you are) in Media experience it shows you an icon

notice the icon on the right ( music icon) indicates that you are in music player. Oh yeah and unlike winmo7 it is in the left side. The thing that this is missing is the clock on the background (i photoshoped it) and the weather widget.
HTC UI is great but it also slows down the phone, that's why I prefer titanium. I was wondering if somebody could figure out a way to put a clock and weather widget with it. Some other pics,

That theme concept looks gorgeous. It's a brilliantly huge improvement over the default Titanium. However, it reminds me of the SE media manager. But nevermind that.
The clock on the top right corner looks ugly - it's doesn't blend well within the theme. I suggest that a plain text clock in the background should be implemented to give the theme a minimalistic and elegant look. I've worked up on the image to show you what I mean.
The menus should also have some transparency so the background and the clock are visible.

i think it's better the clock on the background but the icon only the bigger at the center end take away the little one at the left!

d3thstalker your picture looks exactly what I was thinking. I did a quick paintbrush work so it looks awefool. But yeah this is what I was talking about, how though

It would be really awesome if someone could develop this for us. I have no background in developing anything or whatsoever. However, I'd like to extend my help to wherever I can.

Ok I just sent it to you. I looked at the tutorial too, when I opened the bronzess.dll in PE explorer I see lots of icons, starting with the number of 2000 to 4000. I can guess how to change the icons, but I dont understand how can I change the system of how icons are being shown. I mean in "Media Experience Panel" when you tap on something it goes to the left side. How do make that happen? Anyway I dont know anything about programming.
Hope somebody comes up with a solution.

I understand the link between the registery, the bronzeres.dll and the way the icon are displayed. However, I still don't understand how to shift the icons to the left side. I think that has something to do with Titanium_240x320.cpr.
I don't think that it's possible to make the icons shift to the left upon clicking them because I have never seen that in a theme. I think that would require the Titanium code to be re-written or something, which is beyond me.
EDIT: This modding of titanium is too hard for me, I don't understand several aspects of it. I am letting go of it here.

Creating themes/bootscreens?

Hi clever people!
Ok so it's taken me a few days to really figure this thing out and decide to root my T-Mobile UK G2 Touch (Hero or whatever) and after doing it, I installed villain4beta2 which at first I liked. however I've had it a day now at work (it get used alot at work) and its just not right.... things seem nicer and perhaps a touch faster but with silly errors. for example even when I'd disabled open home and put sense back on it kept coming up with force kill open home *sigh*
anyways i think I'm going back to a rooted stock rom because i dnt really want much from my phone i only rooted it to create "full" themes for it, apart from maybe apps2sd perhaps. This brings me on to the point...
So, I want to theme it, I know this can be done via open home ahome and other desktop replacement apps but they all seem to slow my phone done compared to sense - plus i like sense, and even when i use them I cannot a)edit the notification bar
b)change the bootscreen
so I want to know if the following few things are possible and point me in the right direction...
-create MY OWN bootscreen (not one off another phone)
-change location/fonts/colours on notification bar
-change the colours/font of the sense buttons (phone add apps)
this lot is probably way more complicated than i imagine, however I have made F0 (firmware - flashed) themes for the PSP, so i think i can handle this, its just i know very little about android atm. So please take pitty on me and point me in the correct direct of what ever is possible...

have a look at /system/media, in 1.5 roms you will find a folder called "bootscreen", in 2.1 roms there is either a folder or a zipfile. have a look at these, then ask your specific questions here after you did a search.

I would also like to know how to make/create/customize themes.
bootscreens are easy enough, what tools and files are involved in the theme and where can we locate them?
Do we need to get the sign tools etc from the dev of the ROM were creating it for?

edit the pngs inside the apks. do not unpack them, just update the files inside them. do not resign them with anything. and there is no rom developer key, there are the testkeys from htc.

Wow I so forgot about this thread! Thanks kendong2 I have a lot of it figured out now editing apks and making bootscreens... and getting the final customization via sweeter home. LCARSoid is basically finished apart from a few widgets.
I have yet to figure out how rearranging the notifications bar is done or fonts. I know fonts can be done tho.

Here is a port of a 3D Launcher from another Tegra Tablet. It has been ported and formatted to work on our G-Tablets. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do with the icons on the launcher bar. I have set them to launch either stock apps or the included 3D apps depending on what was available. You can't change the apps that are launched by the launcher bar either. The First TIME you launch it it will take a minute to Load as it creates it's own cache files.

First off thanks for posting this, it looks sweet and I can't wait to try it. I will try this uninstall method later and let you know if it works. Worst case scenario I should be able to restore a backup or flash a fresh rom through CW?

or I can walk you through a manual uninstall or fix the uninstaller.... nothing gets *modified* to system... just added so it is pretty easy to remove.

Installed over stock TNT... will play with and inform back...

Everything seems to work great over stock TNT except for the music player, it FC everytime I click it. May be linked to a wrong location, not sure...
Clicking on programs brings you to a "3d" list of all your programs, of course, but pretty cool...
Easy to change RSS feeds and weather locations...
Not sure if you can add you own widgets to the carousel. Will continue to play.

pretty cool! not sure i can use it full time, but its cool looking. if it were customizable wed be in business!

Installed this last night on TNT Lite 3.1.4. Works, but weather is not working to access my towns weather, music player does FC every-time, and It says Vegan Tab in the background, hopefully that can change, if only i knew how to program! It works, but not sure if the lack of customizations, and small issues are worth it! But i will say this, this launcher makes this tablet look more and more like a tablet and not an oversized phone!

the launcher is a series of apk files so i think you need to stick with the provided update.zip format.

any news on any updates to this launcher, as stated before, i am having trouble with the weather portion. When i select my city, it gives me a satellite picture (like wifi problem), and the news portion will not allow me to delete bbc news.....is this maybe due to the fact that it was designed to work with Vegan?

I'm getting an error message about com.brogent.service has stopped since installing 3D launcher. Tried to clear data but that did not help.

Wallpaper - will randomly change

I have settings off but over the last few months I have noticed the wallpaper change of it own accord ..

Also what is giving me the ****s it is like a Win10 situation where it is Huawei pushing a pic from the net to me.. (or only other option would be quickpic app as I use this to set the wallpaper).
I just checked on the change this morning and the pic is not actually sitting in my gallery. And I hadn't seen this picture before.. it's not in the standard Huawei pic set..thus the theory of it being pushed from the net..
I am on stock rom..
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

You have Themes and Settings, change the wallpaper. By default, MagazineUnlock pictures are showing and changing

I wrote above: Magazine Unlock. No root needed, you will find the folder and pics on Internal mem.
Btw, redefine the theme and put your own photo as wallpaper.

But I actually use Apex..
So, as this same setup has been on my phone's for the last 4+ years.. (I know..why change a good thing)..
To have wall papers turn up (as said very much like Win10 does on lock screen).. but this is not my lock screen. This is main wall paper..
Thing is.. only ever so often.. only say once a month..
My feeling is they are slipping through either Apex.. or EMU..as showed.. I have settings shut down for changes..
Don't even worry about the lockscreen ones..they are not the owns turning up..

What about Themes built-in application?! - this is exactly for setting the themes, haven't you seen that and did you try to use it?
I hope, you didn't think it was a bloatware and (because you have a root), you just deleted that app before finding first what it is and why you need it.
Besides you can directly set up any picture or photo as your wallpaper.
Àlso, and again, did you look into the MagazineUnlock folder on the Internal mem (no root needed), what pictures do you see there, do they correspond to your random wallpapers?
I know there are no proper help/instructions for EMUI but you can try to get familiar with its setings and built in apps and features.
If you are not using stock ROM then you will get better help if you ask in the corresponding custom ROM thread. Also if you are using special launchers or so, then it might be a how-to question for that launcher or your own themes/wallpapers app, this is not EJUI 5.01 fault
One more tip: if by flashing back and forth various ROMs, you came to the point that you are mising some apps, particularly Themes app (maybe also Calendar, etc), then you need to go back and properly install stock ROM. This was a known case that people, after manually flashing ROMs (immproperlly or incompletely) lost some built in apps and/or got mess. In some casese it was enough to do Factory reset with wiping Internao memory (you can't with root or TWRP).

So maybe theme app is pushing pictures to the phone with out my permission and wants..

Edit:. Actually just a thought, I just remembered I was forced to download the Microsoft launcher for some reason.. even through it is not what I use..I wonder if this has a hook in.. anyway, just deleted it .. will see if this is the culprit..
