[Q] How to flash without USB (PORT) and With Corrupted Recovery - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys, I am in trouble and any help/advise will be highly appreciated....
So, First thing first.
Problems:
1. USB Port is Buggy, Cant connect to 0din or PC. I can just charge it.
2. Recovery mode is bit upside/down, means I cant mount USB, wipe anything, cant Partition SD Card,
Recovery Mode Reason:
I was on EHNDROIX V 14.1.24 and Unfortunately Tried to Flash Gingerbread (F1 Galaxy S2 V7).
I placed F1 Galaxy S2 V7 in internal SD and went into recovery and tried to flash, it started and after few seconds stopped, saying "Partitioning error" After that i lost my old ROM, Lost Root Access, Now Phone is just stucked at Samsung Logo.
So, was just curious is there any Magic Word that can Flash my i9000?
Any method, any expert who can give suggestion....
Thanks in Advance Guys

Galaxy TAB P1000 NOT Detecting in ODIN

Hello xda users,
I need HELP !
I have a galaxy tab P1000
currently froyo 2.2
wanted to upgrade to GB
Tried the Odin way from another link on this site (MANUAL updation for galaxy tab(p1000) into 2.3.3 gingerbread ), it failed and the Tab got soft bricked,
somehow managed to unbrick it, now its back to its original fw, but it keeps restarting in a loop until i switchd the damn thing off completely
I have tried to go in download mode to flash but odin doesnt recognise it , tried differnt computers too, no use.
I have gone in recovery mode, hard reset, wipe cache , still when i switch it on, it goes in a reboot loop.
tried to use heimdall. cant get sucess as i might not understand how to use it properly
Please help.
Sincere thanks to you if you can help me get my tab up and running., if not in GB atleast back in froyo.
(PS- i im not worried about my data , and i have not backed up the rom etc before doing any of these)
Try to reinstall or install a usb driver from samsung
tried that before , didnt work
anyway now i managed to get it detected on ODIN and flashed it to GB

Yeah, happened to me too, nearly had a sh*t my pants when Odin didn't recognise my Tab.
I would recommend -
charge the Tab fully using wall adapter (4 hrs+)
plug it in with Odin open and using USB cable
don't expect Odin to recognise the Tab immediately
check back after 5 mins or so (I don't know, does Odin refresh?)
I was able to restore my Tab from the PC - ! - Marvin screen.
I don't want to go back there again though!
yea dude.. same here
i kept it on charge for a couple of hours and then tried.. bam it conencts..

do u have samsung kies installed in your pc? if does, kill the kies process (Ctrl+Alt+Del). close, and open odin3, put your tab into download mode, and then plug it into usb port. try to change different ports.
i always had this problems.. if all if that didn't work, i'll format my pc

hi
i also have a gt p1000 and odin3 doesnt detect the tab. i've been trying to root my tab for a while, tried odin and it doesnt detect, tried doomlord and it doesnt even get past the first step. i tried uninstalling kies on my windows 8 laptop and still no luck im not too sure what to do. is there something that i might be doing wrong because i follow all the info thati get from here.
is there another rooting app i can try that doesnt brick my device? and or is there an app that i can get that i am able to use a ps3 controller on my device that does not require a rooted device. please help
thanks
My Galaxy tab also doesn't connect to usb after cache wiped humber os flash
Thanks in advance guys!..
Earlier I was using Cyanogen mode 10 Custom ROM but has few issues like recognize SD card.
later I flashed to Humber OS caused real problem.
It was clock work recovery installed but my tab tab boots stays on screen humber OS.
It goes to recovery mode, and also to some unknown recovery mode.
Either the way not recognized by computer. I tried all options like heimtal an Odin. No help.
Friends any help, would be highly appreciated.
BUMP
Any solution to this given the fact that usb drivers have been installed?
Are you sure it is recognised by the computer before trying Odin or Heimdall?
I seen this in a post:

4 Reasons Why Odin is Not Detecting Your Android Device:
Reason 1: No drivers installed for your phone
Most of the time Odin is not able to detect your phone, simply because you haven’t installed the drivers for your phone. Normally windows would automatically download the respective drivers for your phone from the internet and install it. But in case it isn’t able to do so, you need to download the drivers from your phone manufacturer’s website.
Reason 2: Inferior quality or damaged USB cable
Odin is very sensitive to low quality or damaged USB cables, which is a major reason why odin will detect your android phone in file transfer mode but fail to detect it in download mode. You might have a genuine USB cable that came with your Android phone but with time its quality will depreciate, which is why you might have to get a new USB cable.
Reason 3: Odin is corrupted
This happened once with a reader on my blog, we tried everything to solve his problem, but in the end using a different version of Odin worked out for him.
Reason 4: USB port is defective
Defective USB ports can also be a reason for Odin not detecting your Android phone. This was a problem faced by one of my readers and plugging the USB cable in another USB port worked out for him.

and I need install cwm recovery on a twrp recovery and just do that with this app:
ROM Manager
if you want do same job; you can download it from google play easily!
and install recovery,rom or restore backup with it.

reason 1: my phone is samsung and it's detected by ODIN, kies and I transfer files from and to my computer without problems. also tried reinstalling just in case but nothing, so I guess this is not the answer for my problem
reason 2: tried with original cable, but as I didn't use the tablet for a long time I also thought it could be the cable, so I asked a friend of mine if he could lend me one cable, but that didn't work. pity. :/
reason 3: tried 3 different versions of ODIN, and in every version my phone (mentioned above) is detected. shame. :S
reason 4: tried the 3 different USB ports in my laptop. two 2.0 USB ports and one 3.0 USB port, so again I doubt this is the reason of my problem.
extra reason: ~~~ maybe it's the OS version ~~~ // this laptop came with windows 8 preinstalled. nothing. then, I updated to win 8.1. again nothing. now I'm running windows 10 and the same, nothing is detected neither by ODIN nor the computer. also tried in 4 different computers running win xp, win 7 and other with win 8.1.
btw, thank you anyway for your apportation; this may help other people, but unfortunately, it's not my case, so can anybody else join me to think about a new reason and a way to solve it? thank you very much :good: :highfive: :fingers-crossed:
~~~~~~~~~~~~ EDIT ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have continued researching and found a software. it didn't work for me, but maybe it works for other people.
-first, you have to make sure you have java installed on your computer.
-second, extract the oneclick.rar file on an easy-access directory.
-third, put your tab on download mode (while charging icon when tab is turned off, press power + volume down until a yellow triangle appears).
-fourth, click start unsoft-brick and let the magic begin! 8)
note: if a warning error pops up, trust the software and click on resolution center and follow the instructions of one of the three "alternative ways".
download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ix6yygu23a1kjn/OneClick.rar?dl=0
[Q] USB Damaged and Internal maybe corrupted need ideas
As you may know people I have a How To on how to Flash Roms and Fix various errors on your phones.
I currently have an S4 Mini thats why i havent been in this Forum for a while sorry for the people that have been following me..
But, I am at a loss with this one...
My friend has an i9000 which he found and has an iPhone (dont ask he's a traitor)..
Anyway...
USB is not recognised on PC what I mean is I think the USB Charge Port is Dead
Can Boot to recovery And Download mode (which is a bit of a bonus I think)
In Recovery there is multiple errors such as....
E :.. unknown volume for path cache/recovery/log
cant mount...
cant open .....
So I think the Internal memory is corrupted or damaged... so any ideas guys
As I used to have a link on my How to Guide.. but cant find the person that posted there fix for this..
I do know its just a matter of fixing the re-partition but have no access through USB port
Help, if you can guys and remember the USB doesnt work and battery is getting charged by an external battery charger (mains)
For USB problem use this guide to solve
For unknown path would normally be a CWM problem, so flash back to stock with PIT repartition or and use correct version of CWM and try or try switch CWM and correct version of ROM ( also check IMEI)
Thats the guide I was talking about
Thanks for that and Cant flash as Recovery shows errors all over the place and I can get into Download mode
but need to get USB port working first :good:
As when you plug the cable into thats attached to the PC it lights up that its charging then goes off again every few seconds so could be the port or the Board itself
you can flash using Mobile Odin a JVU or JVZ stock ROM, without PIT, to see if it boots follow this for Mobile Odin if phone can boot.
if not you can use a recovery tool to flash from PC , look in My Android Collections link below.
as for your USB question, had the answer in the back of my mind for that issue, but cannot recall it ay the moment , will see, if I can remember that but you should try the cleaning procedure in the mean time
The thing is you are still using JM1 ( BTW its hard to come by JM1 these days some people are searching for it like crazy) JM1 will not have recovery & download mode by combo keys, untill you fix it by flashing combo keys or by attaching it to KIES and updating it to Gingerbread .
To update the combo keys you need to flash the combo keys fix from here Look under recover recovery for it, If , I believe it may be difficult for you, use KIES to update your phone to ginger bread first.
If you cannot connect to KIES look here , it will give you step by step procedure to solve all problems
Edit: Odin will not work with JM1, untill you can get download mode, so you need to use USB JIG ( will give you download mode), than you can use Odin, so use only KIES, download from Samsung, if you don't have it yet.
First Step :-
1) Check phone USB slot for contacts/connection problems
Some get misaligned others gets damaged internally, and others somehow moved and needed a nudge to connect, so clean them, just to be sure. Follow this guide
How to clean micro USB port
How to fix looseness.
Cleaning the USB slot and contacts will surely help as the Galaxy S model USB slot is prone to moisture as well as dirt retention, where users have complained about failure to charge or overheating when charging in colder regions. So a blow dryer may do wonders at times like this
Even IF your USB cable can charge the phone, data connection contacts could have been lost due to internal pin damage as I have personally experienced it , not to forget misaligned pins on the micro B slot itself experienced by others.
2) If phone is not being detected of a sudden (Quick Guide)
1. Reboot PC after a power cord pull and Reboot Phone after a Battery Pull , try USB connection
2. Try using a different Samsung USB cable (must be sumsung and nothing else)
3. Try a different USB port (use USB slots at the back of PC)
4. Try on a lap top or different PC
5. Try install nexus drivers - needed for ICS firmwares
6. Make sure you don't have fast charge on.
7. Try moving the USB plug slightly, sideway or back and front, whilst connected to PC
8. Toggle WIFI and OFF it , reboot phone, check connection
Trick
1. Turn ON Bluetooth with "make my device discoverable" checked
2. Connect the USB cable from the computer to the phone
3. you will get this message: " if you elect to use USB your Bluetooth connection will be interrupted - OK?"
4. Touch OK and connection problem is solved
3) Re Install the Samsung USB Driver or according to your manufacturer Drivers Android USB Drivers - Universal Installer or other Devices download from here or Android OEM Drivers here
Changes of ROM, also have configuration changes on the phone, (just like changes in combo key functions) ...so driver changes works for some
Trick Putting your Phone into download mode and connecting it with USB cable to PC will do it automatically. Meaning drivers will be installed by windows If there are none.
maybe its possible as JM1 is the first ROM for your phone and did not include even the recovery/download mode key functions, so either buy a USB JIG ( about a dollar or two) in ebay to enter download mode and use Odin3 or install KIES in your PC ( can download free from Samsung, just google Samsung KIES) to use Samsung KIES phone manager.
I am not sure if the latest KIES will work ( connect) with your (ancient) firmware, if not you need to download an earliest version of KIES to connect with a JM1 firmware.
so only two options, since you won't know how to use other methods to flash a combo key fix to get download mode.
yes, it could be as you should have two KIES in one PC so you can uninstall both , only leave the Samsung USB drivers or install samsung usb drivers after full uninstall
Check this out! Links to useful Guides and " Banned " Documentaries
Just simply!
1) uninstall all softwares related to device like KIES etc.
2) reboot system
3)Install Samsung USB drivers.
Hello!
On many PC's with Windows NT 6.[2-3] (8, 8.1, 8.1wU) Samsung phones aren't recognized in Odin mode (in normal mode everything is ok). I'm using VB'ed Windows 7. There is way to use [email protected] too (i guess).
Best regards.
Odin works fine on Win 8.1
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTT, sent from my i9000
so i'm back trying to resurrect this shw-m110s phone of mine
*cause i've lost my motivation in fixing this thing a long time ago haha
so now i tried to uninstall all the drivers related to flashing (kies, kies3 etc.) "not sure if i've uninstalled all of it though"
i tried to drain my phone's battery, tried to connect to pc and still the pc didn't detect my phone (not even detected as "unknown device") and automatically opens into download mode whenever i connect it to pc
there is no recovery mode
by the way it all started when i failed flashing (just look up to my 1st post above) then instantly it got stuck to download mode and my pc dont detect it anymore.
