i really love the this phone but its the little things like this that annoys me.
does anyone else have this problem? whenever i put new songs on my SD card, the walkman app can take forever to show that new song. even after i play the song directly from a file explorer, it still isnt in the walkman list of songs. it can take about 3-4 hours before the song than included in the walkman list of songs

yes this happens a lot to me too. I have root so I installed enable media scan. It's the media scanner not finding the songs. This app helps me out a lot of times. If you don't have root, try moving your music to another map on your SD, should work too, because media scanner will detect it now as it is being moved from one place to another

thats funny, in my app i found i have 2 walkman 1 is 2.0.A.0.28 the other is 6.0.A.0.26 and both are active

which xsp model do you have? i ask because mine is the c5306 and I've never had problems like you guys are describing with battery, wifi and the walkman app and such.

That's right. The 2.0.A.0.28 is the WALKMAN widget and the 6.0.A.0.26 is the music player.
The latest version is 8.1.A.0.3. You can't get it from play store but from xda. Here for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587018

A little too late and didn't see a real "solution" but you have to restart your phone each time..any complaints then jus download in bulk so you won't have to it do over and over

You don't have to do anything. It's way too simple. Go to settings , Open apps, go to ALL tab and scroll down to Walkman App. Select clear data and clear cache and it'll work.

it has equaliser but it runs only with headset
press the menu button and then select sound effects in that would be the equaliser

yes..same application with different Icon (ics)...if you install apk of first post and after download my attachment (downloaded from play store)..the system ask to overwrite

You will have to wait for the devs to update their apps.
Another way is to download the APK some way put it on your phone and then run the APK.

Maybe these app r old, cuz devs v started to implement auto scaling features, that scale any app to the optimum resolution or screen size.
I think if a crazy company released 4k display android phone, apps will function normally.

Weird, I downloaded it to my S2 and moved the data to the Z, works fine except for a few bugs (sometimes menus appear black, for example).

NFS Most Wanted v1.0.46 works fine on my Xperia Z.
(Did copy this version including SD data from Xperia Play.)
Sadly, the moga controller will not let me controll it.
Anyone have a workaround for this?

Yes it works fine, I also played it. But how did you get the APK to even install it?
Not sure what you mean by that, just copied the file and installed it using a file manager.
I will try and play the game with the pivot app, maybe then the controller will work.
(Was trying using the universal driver so far.)

I have the same problem. Haven't noticed it with facebook but with chrome it looks like my music widget in the notification bar just stops working (the widget will stay visible), also no sound. I can open the walkman app and start a new song but when I start using Chrome again the problem will occur again. :crying:
My phone is pretty stock, it is rooted, bootloader still locked and I use Apex launcher.

The process has been kill (since dunno why Chrome eat so much RAM)
Anyway now I using Task Manager (root require) to keep the Walkman exclude in the killing list

Strange when I had the problem I also looked at my ram usage and still had 250 mb of ram free. Also it looked if the the widget in the notification bar just stalls, it wont react to any buttons. If android stops the task of the walkman app the widget would just dissapear. I think

the widget will no disappear if it suddenly get killed
One point does Xperia SP not actually good is RAM is only 1GB, and since GPU reserve 2XX MB RAM so the usable RAM only 768MB...

i don't know exactly when but mine too suffers from sudden music cut. Music cutss off for one or two sec or sometimes it feels like a old cassette playing on walkman
hell lot of new problems arising everyday :crying:
i rechecked by playing same song from memory card on laptop but it plays fine.
i also tried playing same song on SP walkman app it plays fine too
then why the sudden cutting ?

plz don't say that mate :crying: if i stick to sony brand for only one reason, it'll be for walkman app, i <3 it so much. but i think memory management is sh** on our device, so poor walkman is getting killed to give space to memory hungry chrome :crying:
m not getting this issue till now
used chrome Walkman and subway minimized in back
just the issue occurred was my subway crashed
but music and chrome running successfully

Poor kid is mad. Sorry bro, you are the one with problems. I modded my phone, ran chrome and Walkman together and can't replicate your problem. Just go get a replacement from the service center or sell it.

Power amp downloads album art. So long as the id3tag is correct in the file then it'll work. Just click settings and go to album art and select download album art.

Oh yea.
Anyway, power amp does supply the album art, so it's kind of needed, does give album art on lockscreen too, not full screen though.

there is really no difference at all, you still cant select your own folder in to add your music, and design wise it is the same
basically there is no noticeable changes or features compared to emui 4.1 music player

It messes the Queue list after u clear music player from recent tasks and open it again.

Yes it still does the same.
unfortuntely the sorting of the songs when browsing by artist is still the same in EMUI 5.0 version as it was in 4.1.
In fact they should develop a little bit more their native music app... Play music works quite well... But far from poweramp or other thirty part apps...

Yep, sticking to Google Play Music for now as it shows lockscreen controls and has a "recently played" menu.

Just got the HiApp and it's not showing me updates for default apps. Can you upload the HiApp version that you have?
Anyway, was able to install the version that you have but it uninstalled it eventually. Didn't like the additional services like streaming and all.
