[Q] Defaulting HTC One with Google ROM - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just purchased an HTC One rooted Soff iwth the Google ROM installed. I found that it is incompatible with TMobile's 1700MHZ radio so I get no 4G. I've decided to sell it and have a dumb noob question. I want to default the unit so I can sell it and am a bit uncomfortable flashing ROM's to it as I don't plan to keep it. My question is kinda too stupid to ask but here goes. I want to default the phone removing the personal information I seet up - accounts, apps, etc but not blow the GPE Rom. If I factory reset under the settings menu will I get the phone into a saleable condition. I hope this only requires a quick answer from one of you geniuses out there. Thanks in advance.

I Won a FUZE at Tech-Ed... Can I back up apps from Tilt & Restore to FUZE?

First, I searched and read a lot of threads and didn't find an answer to this and I'm sure many will find it a very simple question. I have heard that this is possible with some version of Sprite but don't know what.
A little help on that please?
Also, any pointers to what its going to take to unlock the ATT FUZE so I can use it on TMO like I do my Tilt? I suppose the FUZE also will not work with TMO's 3G?
Also how to remove the ATT bloatware, I know this isn't a FUZE forum so please forgive me asking all this here, I've received a lot of help here so naturally this is where I come back. Hopefully I've given a little back and of course I'll continue as I am able.
Thanks!

The apps are all windows mobile, if you back up the apps onto a SD card then you will be able to reload onto the Fuze. Backing up settings with Sprite, and reloading from the Tilt to the Fuze, probably will not work ( but I don't know for sure )
AT&T and T-Mobile have different 3G frequencies, and that has not changed.
To unlock and flash your new Fuze, mskip to the rescue. (again)
AT$T bloatware is the same as the Tilt, just soft reset immediately after the " tap here to setup your device " screen, before the " customizations in 3 seconds " screen.
Thanks, well the Fuze has a faster proc and more memory and probably doesn't have all the troubles with the GPS as the Tilt... but if I can't get better internet over it then maybe I'll just ebay it and wait for something better to come along.
Hmmm... gotta see what a New Sealed in Box Fuze goes for on ebay...
I did decide to ebay it, I can use the proceeds to help fund a trip to Alaska with my son this summer.
My Tilt still has plenty to give, I know better phones will be out later - they always come out with better phones later.

DIAM500 Providor Cellular South - Needs default ROM (Depserate)

My current ROM is Energy Rom - the latest release.
Before that was the release from I believe last feb.
Problem: Data connection always says wrong password or username.
Stump: I went to the store today and got the guy to triple check that my username and pass was right.
I worked my way up to the top tech guru guy who, even though i voided my warranty, understood my situation and tried for two hours to get corporate to give him the revision of cellular souths ROM. Basically just starting from scratch, the data worked on this original ROM.
Now I am in search of a fix. Anything that might get my data working will do. HTC does not have cellular south's rom since they are not a nationwide company. Maybe I could install a sprint CDMA rom and see what happens? Cant be any farther away from it working then I am now. Or possibly if anyone has a link to an old ROM, one of the first few (So all the drivers and stuff will sync with my phone)
Willing to take any advice, but I am a poor college kid, I cant afford to brick this.
Update -
I found the original RUU for Cellular South DIAM500 - I installed it but still the same problem. I just compared the different username and passwords i had been given and they are all correct. So maybe it is hardware? I have insurance on this phone. Think now that I have the original ROM on it, they would give me a replacement?
i would go to ppcgeeks.com they have more cdma users than xda
Yeh I had made a post in both forums. I finally found it through google, a lucky find most likely. Took it back to the store, and as i had first thought months ago, they had changed my username on one settings, and not the other. Nice...

[Q] Non-Sprint HTC Hero (CDMA)

I'm going to preface my question by saying that I'm fairly new to rooting my phone, and to androids in general, and I realise that any mistake I've made thus far is, absolutely my fault. I'm hoping that I can fix my mistakes some how.
First of all, I'm currently running CyanogenMod 6 for Non-Sprint CDMA HTC Hero. I'm having some problems with a couple things, My carrier is ACS Wireless (Alaska),
My questions are as follows,
How do I get my APN settings for my carrier? It's currently displaying Sprint as my carrier and it's causing problems.
How do I change my APN settings once I have the appropriate Carrier settings?
Is it possible to get an official rom, or is there some way to restore my phone back to it's original version of Android? And if so, how?
I know I'm a complete idiot, and I've messed up by not backing up my phone the first time (I was unsure of what I was doing). I'm hoping to remedy my mistakes, if possible,

[Q] Just bought a Galaxy S - advice please.

Hi all,
I have just bought a Galaxy S on eBay, and it's locked to Three (in the UK btw). Whilst I wait for the unlock code (I'm on an O2 sim only contract), I thought I'd ask people for their advice on whether I should stick to the Three ROM, or should I root it and put a base Samsung ROM on it?
Also - what does this mean for me in terms of upgrades (thinking Froyo obviously). Do I need to get a Three specifics upgrade, and how do I get that if I'm not a Three customer?
I have searched the forum, and read lots of discussions of ROMs, but was hoping for some advice for my situation from any of the hugely experienced peeps on here.
Cheers,
James.

it has everything you need to know, including the unlock code
the best advice is to not go crazy on the ROMs unless you want to fix something in specific
Thanks for that. I read that unlock stuff, but unfortunately as I don't have a Three SIM, I can't get onto the market to download the necessary stuff.
I do think it's a bit strange you can't sign into your google account etc over wifi, but figure that's partly how they keep the phone locked to a provider.
James.
that doesn't sounds right
i always unlock and download the rooting stuff over WiFi
i don't even need to use the phone as a mass storage device, because WiFi works right off the bat
what happens when you try to go on the internet using WiFi?
are you able to go to Cnn.com or google.com login to your gmail account in the phone browser?
Hi Allgamer,
thanks for your reply - sorry I've not responded till now!
I could connect to the internet, but not sign into my google account. Don't know what the problem was, but I got round it by performing a factory reset of the phone.
All sorted now.
I do still have an issue with some 3 apps like Skype starting themselves up and consuming resources, despite the fact I can't use them over the O2 network
Loving the phone otherwise though. I've rooted it and installed the OneClickLagFix. Waiting eagerly for Froyo though.

In desperate need for a Romanian ROM

I really thought my touchscreen problem was a virus, but it's hardware, so ****.
I recently tried a lot of ROMs, finally one worked from Britain. I can lock my phone back and disable "only for dev uses" thinghy and play dumb if they ask anything.
I tried support, they said only original HTC service in Bucharest has the original ROMs, they pro'lly won't accept my phone if I ask for it :/
If someone could make a back-up of his phone (Romanian original software) that I can use on PhilzTouch, much obliged.
Please, desperate need. Help a dummy.
